EDIT: Resetting along with enabling windows start up seemed to fix the issue. I'm trying to get Precision X to work with my 970 (EVGA SSC version), but all I get is the below screen - as though there's no graphics card to detect. I've tried a few different things but I figured I'd see if anyone here has any idea what I'm doing wrong before I go further down the rabbit hole - is there something obvious I've missed? Do I need to change some settings somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

I am told a 'fix' is in the works but no mention of when. In the meantime, MSI Afterburner does support OGL: http://www.guru3d.com/fil...ner-beta-download.html

Hey guys, I have a 1080 founder's edition and (please be gentle this is my first time) the guys at the MicroCenter said that all of the founder edition cards are the same (regardless of the brand on the box). Because of this I purchased the only one they had (it wasn't EVGA). Now I am trying to launch Precision X (the newest build) and the first time it said it did not detect an EVGA card and asked me to tell it what kind of card I had. Then, nothing happened. The software never popped up. So I restarted, same issue. Uninstalled, restarted - reinstalled....nothing. I can not get it to start now. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I don't think that is the case because the download page says that it is compatible right now with the 1080 and the only 1080 available at the moment is the founder's edition.

For the new Pascal cards, Precision X OC needs to be downloaded - Link, which is different than the regular Precision. BTW, you need an Evga card for it to work: System Requirements- GeForce GTX 1080 (EVGA card required for full versions)
- Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista

XrayMan, that is EXACTLY the problem. The knowledgeable folks at MicroCenter told me that all the Founder's Edition cards are "identical" so I bought the only one they had in stock (not an EVGA). I will be returning it and waiting until I can get my hands on one of yours. Thanks!

Let me add one more thing. I just saw a post from Jacob. Looks like some non-Evga cards won't work with the new Precision. EVGA_JacobF Some known issues we are ironing out:
- Not saving profiles
- Showing 6.0.0
- Not running on some non EVGA cards
http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2492624 I'm not sure which, if any other branded cards work with it, by just going by his post. I'm not in the loop in this. Anyway, just wanted to add that.

Turned my PC on the other day and waited for precision x to load, never did, so clicked on the exe icon, and it popped up a precision x server error saying that msvcr120.dll was missing from my computer, I checked my dll's and msvcr120.dll is in fact in my computer and not missing, tried downloading the newest version of precision x and says it want run because there is a missing dll file, checked it also and it is also not missing and is in my computer, I am running windows 10, and have not had any issues with precision x up until a couple days ago, had to go back to afterburner which I really do not like using because their OSD sucks and most games veiw their OSD as a hack. whereas precision x does not show up as anything, and I like to keep track of my clock and temp during heavy game play, any ideas what is going on here or how to fix it, makes me leary to run my card overclocked and not be able to see if anything is going wrong.

One problem with that lovely download link for Precision X OC. Precision X OC only works with the new GeForce GTX 1080/1070 per the system reqs on the software. I don't know about others, but I have a GTX970. Did they integrate support with X OC and not update the sysreqs? I had X16 installed, and it told me there was an updated version, I went and installed it (which turned out to be 6.0.6) and now before running, it wants my name, e-mail address, and serial number despite having detected that, yes, I have an eVGA card. Right now, I am having difficulties getting the serial number from the card (looks like I'll need to open the case, something I'm not ready to do tonight), but before I do all of that I want to make sure this WILL work? If not, getting the download links back for the old X16 would be really nice.

Hi guys! I'm a big fan of EVGA precision X software. I tried some 5.X version of this software but i can't stay with it... I'm staiying with the 4.2.1 version. Why? 1 First simple thing, it's impossible to hide the icon on the taskbar when the hardware monitoring on my others screen is up. There is no possiblity to say to the window "Always on Top" as before and hide the icon. Second, the hardware monitoring window, why we are stuck with some dual grid for the graph monitoring (gpu1/2 and system?)? Back in my house i will post some pipcs to show what i mean.... For now i find the version 4.2.1 a lot far easier to manage and personnalize.... Here is wath i'm talking about: All open 2 Icon in taskbar Set "Always on top" on hardware monitoring Just 1 Icon Everything clean and just 1 grid to monitor the GPU's.

Just configured by first SLI setup (2x EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 FTW cards) and I am running into an issue where the GPUs are flipped in the software (EVGA Precision XOC v6.0.7). GPU 1 is actually the bottom card (furthest from the CPU) and GPU 2 is the top card that is connected to the display port to my monitor. Any ideas on how to fix this? FYI, I am running the most recent GeForce Experience driver v.373.06 System: Operating System: Windows 10 CPU: Intel 6700K 4.00 GHz Motherboard: Asus Rog Maximus VIII Hero Alpha GPU (SLI): EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW (x2) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz (PC4-21300) SSD: Samsung 850 EVO - 500GB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2, 80+ GOLD 850W

Hi Guys first off i do like the software and think its a great little tool precision X16, here it comes LOL but i do have an issue with it, i have a EVGA GTX 950 SC+ 2Gig Great Card it's set on boost clock with me and works well untill i play a game then i've notice it drops down to 937 from 1430 I've found a temp workaround by pressing ALT+TAB I can get it back to 1430 which helps a lot for frame rate 10-12 FPS in most games if not all, I access my games via Steam and Origin. but it still persists and also some times when my machine is idle it will do the same thing. Are you aware of this issue and are you working on a fixThanksMark

driftequipped Having issues running PrecisionX 16 v5.3.5 on windows 7 64-bit with an evga 650 ti. Upon opening PrecisionX, it would say missing msvcr120.dll. I added the msvcr120.dll to the appropriate system folders and now i get a PrecisionXServer.exe "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." error message. I never had this problem with v5.3.1 and I hope this is being fixed.
Same problem here but i have a gtx960

I'm also having the same issue as Troyhe98 and have my cards configured the same way with the two cards far apart from each other (first slot and last slot on mobo). I'm using two GTX1080 FTW3's and using Precision XOC 6.1.6. GPU1 and GPU2 are swapped for me :( If I wasn't stuck having to use Evga's Precision XOC for full control of my cards (like led lighting ect) then I would never use it as I have only had issues. A good example is running GOW4 and if you have SLI enabled and the OSD is enabled the game will crash... Sad... Anyways, anyone know how to fix this GPU swapping issue?

I can not confirm this as I do not use sli but for those that do how is the bios set for primary and secondary cards? Some motherboards run x pcie lanes at 16x but when 2 cards are in use they drop to a lower rate and this can also depend on what slot is populated so slot 1 may be slower than slot 4. Another issue could be how windows is loading drivers-default display should be able to change that with nvidia control panel or windows display settings. Uninstall older versions of precision x, reboot, install newer version; especially if loading on os boot. Gtx cards from 960 and up have a bios switch that only kicks the fans on if hitting if certain temps are reached, otherwise they stay off ( if the switch is set to other position, it will run all the time).
