Hi All!
I am still on v6.2.3, after 4 & 5 had so many issues - is it worth updating yet? Sounds like there are no problems that would affect me...

I could go as far as saying as long you don't need a certain bugfix or new feature and the old version works as expected with everything you do I don't see much of a point of updating.

The new version 6.2.7 has some issues and there are still some mysterious issues with loading/saving settings properly including fan profiles.
For example if you don't close Precision XOC manually after saving the fan profile settings the first time, it won't enable the automatic fan control. (such as editing -> not closing -> rebooting system)

Even though it saves the fan profiles with the workaround, I have seen Precision XOC fail to load certain automatic fan profiles such as Power and Memory or all three on the FTW3 sometimes after a system reboot.
Other times it sticks most of the time after a reboot, so it's not completely set & forget yet.

OK I am having a weird issue with Destiny 2 locking up when traveling to Orbit or during some fade to black scenes. If I don't run Precision 6.2.7 I have none of these issues. This is on a 1080Ti FTW3 in stock config. Anyone else seeing this?

My best guess would be that the OSD hooking (even if turned off) may cause some trouble.
Try adding the game to the exclusions regardless if the OSD is on or OFF.

If that doesn't work try renaming the following executables and start Precision XOC afterwards and check again:
  • PrecisionXServer.exe
  • PrecisionXServer_x64.exe
Note that OSD will not function with these files renamed.

Welcome to the forums.

Open HWM..Click the System dropdown at the top of HWM and enable Framerate..Then enable OSD on the new Framerate, FPS monitor that will appear in the HWM.

If you do not see the GPU and System dropdowns (this is an  issue) you can:
1. Disable 'Start Minimized' in the General Settings, close and open Precision again
2. Position HWM beside Precision and click on Precision to bring Precision to the foreground
3. Right-click in HWM and select 'Show status'

Thermal leds on my 1080ti FTW, yeah they still don't work unless I go to settings after start up. I rely on those indicators since my case has a window and some games don't show the OSD overlay.

Can confirm that. Thermal leds go green right from start on my 1080 ti SC2 too, and the only way to fix it is to manually go to the Thermal LED tab, then press ok. After that the leds appear to start working. Seems like the thermal led process/thread has some issues.

No problemo..Another thing you should be aware of is that if OSD or any other settings don't stick after starting/restarting your PC/Precision is that some settings won't stick unless Precision is manually closed after making changes (another issue)..So it's just good practice to close and then open Precision again after making any changes and make sure your changes remain..Also, OSD doesn't work in all games.

I had to revert to 6.2.3 in order to get the LED sync to work for me. Hopefully the next update fixes the issue.

Hey, I have my Precision XOC set to start on boot up, start minimized, and apply last setting.  HWM pops up when the computer boots and Precision loads.  Is there a way to set Precision so that HWM doesn't pop up when the program starts?

Thanks!

I was previously using 6.2.3 without issue. After trying to upgrade to 6.2.7 I get constant blue screens. I tried doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of PrecisionX along with my driver using DDU but no luck. At desktop I will crash if Precision X is open after a few minutes, if I try to game I will get a bluescreen in about a minute. If Precision X is not running, this doesn't occur. It doesn't matter what the settings are, or if I have the overlay enabled. I get a blue screen with the error "KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED".

Again, if I don't open Precision X I have no issues, and multiple attempts to reinstall it along with my driver did not resolve the issue. Going back to 6.2.3 for now.

I just updated my PXOC to version (6.2.7) Now I lost my ingame OSD FPS? It's only shows the GPU/MEM and the GPU Temp.
Is there any way to replace the GPU/MEM for the FPS and still keep the GPU Temp OSD, plus the GPU Temp on Icon Tray is not showing?

I don't think Hardware Monitor should be able to do that automatically?
I've got no solution for this, a first time for me.

Looks like there are definitely BSOD related issues with Precision XOC then.
Maybe there is a software conflict though so it may be handy to list some of the stuff you run alongside.
Also check your bluescreen dumps for the faulting modules resulting into a crash and lookup the bugcheck codes online.
You can use a tool like BlueScreenView

Welcome to the forums.

I can only reproduce that if I close Precision without closing HWM first..So close HWM and then close Precision so that Precision will 'remember' not to open HWM the next time it runs..Always close HWM first before closing Precision or HWM will appear again when Precision runs.

Sometimes you overthink things and forget simple solutions like these.

The whole problem with Precision's settings, the vast majority of the time, is that Precision doesn't immediately write most settings changes to the .cfg files once 'OK' is clicked..Unlike MSI Afterburner that does..Precision needs to be manually closed for most changes to become effective which throws off novice users and the uninitiated.

Don't mean to be (edited), but are you listening after all this time, EVGA Precision developers, or am I still banging my head against the wall?

It say right here on the box  " WALL not included "   :-)

on every reboot I have to click OSD settings tab to get the Keyboard LCD fonts to change to the size I had selected.
Now this is with an older version as the newer version fixed the problem by not showing any data on a G19
or it defaults now to a size only ant man can read.

I did get a EVGA keyboard just to have a LCD display - it is nailed to that wall that is not included.

Using the Default skin, open the Settings (gear button, bottom-right)..In the OSD tab, click on the color palette to the right of 'Show in tray icon'..Choose your color..Click OK..Click OK to apply and close Settings..Then close and open Precision again to be sure the new color sticks and doesn't revert back to red the next time precision runs.

How do I change the color individually (For each setting)? Won't the way you suggested just change both to the other color?

EDIT: Just answered my own question. They both changed to the same color. I need to do it individually, and I want to have their own color like I used to have.

Yes, but you can change each Statistic to a different color only in the Kingpin skin.

Change to the Kingpin skin..Open OSD Dettings..Choose the Statistic you want from the dropdown..Change the color for that Statistic from the color palette to the right of 'Show in tray icon'....Then you can revert back to the Default skin and the colors will remain.

Edit/Add: Change skins in the 'Interface' tab of the Settings.

The problem lies in that recently the default skin received a redesign but Kingpin stuck to the old configuration including setting menu's.
The new default skin lacks some of the functionality that is handy to have which is still present in the old skin.

I hope the EVGA team will be able to rectify this in the near future.

How do I change the color individually (For each setting)? Won't the way you suggested just change both to the other color?

Yes, but you can change each Statistic to a different color only in the Kingpin skin.

Change to the Kingpin skin..Open OSD Dettings..Choose the Statistic you want from the dropdown..Change the color for that Statistic from the color palette to the right of 'Show in tray icon'....Then you can revert back to the Default skin and the colors will remain.

Edit/Add: Change skins in the 'Interface' tab of the Settings.

Why did EVGA not make this option for the default skin??

Not sure what you mean by a 'save a profile OSD to my game' or what is/isn't showing in your Task Bar now..Explain..Maybe there's a simple fix or reason..What are you trying to do?

After configuring my options on PXOC example > ( In game OSD, Temp on Tray, GPU LED Color and Start PXOC with Windows ) - supposedly you have to right click on either 0-9 to save your profile right? well I do all that, but when I restart my PC it's only showing the Temp on the Tray, but not showing (OSD Temp and Framerate) when playing BF4?

- So when I click on the task bar ^ arrow to show hidden icons and hover over the PXOC it disappears and then the Temp on the Tray also disappears??
- I have to reopen PXOC to get the Software to stay on and to show Temp on Tray again, but I have to hit my ( Saved Config Profile # 0) so the OSD can show on the top right corner while I'm in game.

You understand now?

Another thing...Do I need this extra EVGA "LED SYNC" which is a new separated added feature.
