I got intersting results by play with VF Curve. My 2080 ti KPE stayed on 1.050v most of the time and because of that my oc wasn't stable. After playing with VF Curve i got to 2205 with voltage of 1.093. But when the temp reaches above 41°c, the core clock getting down to 2190 and fixed there.
That was interesting to me and I'm wondering why the card won't get to the maximum allowed voltage when i applied +120 core offset and +100 voltage offset before manipulation of VF curve?!


You would have to stay below 30c for it to keep that 2205. It's not going to give you the full voltage automatically if you break that temperature barrier. Higher the voltage quicker the temp barrier is hit.

With stock aio what's the max 24/7 voltage you'll run to get the best balance between OC/heat?

Yeah i know that but stable 2190 on stock hybrid cooler is pretty good result for me.

I use OC bios; my voltage is 1.09 with stable 2190Mhz core clock and 1000Mhz memory clock and my temp won't exceed 46°c. I think i can crank the memory clock higher but for gaming it is enough.

Yeah, stock memory voltage. I've tested 8400Mhz memory clock couple times for benchmarking in Superposiotion and i got pretty great results because memory speed highly impact superposition, but it seems not stable for 24/7. I know with a little bump in FBVDD voltage i can get it stable but as i mentioned before i mostly gaming and stability is crucial for me.

Why OLED monitoring settings won't save? after PC restart it goes back to default mode

Any news on the "800W Board Power" bug? It's been happening since a few weeks, every time my card is in idle, it shows 800-830W board power...there was at least one other person reporting the same issue on the forums.

If you put the PX1 to 100% fan speed its only going to go to 100% of the bios fan speed control not 100% of the actual fan speed capabilities. The only way to get the 100% fan speed capabilities is to flash the LN2 bios into the normal or overclock bios position. By doing that you keep the safeguards in place but gain the full fan speed capabilities as well.

Weird requirements I must say.

I have noticed the ryzen cpu's are really kickin it in the time spy extreme cpu scores but none of them are showing up in the time spy extreme overall scores in the top 100, strange.

Yeah i knew there was a few i just meant in comparison to how many are in the cpu score only vs the complete overall score, kinda of lopsided there.

Any idea why memory bank on the left side is hotter than the rest? There's like 10c difference between hottest and coldest memory banks.
 
The cooling plate is connected to the AIO itself, so the temp difference shouldn't be that big here either.

By logic mem2 (in the front) should be coldest while mem1 (top) and mem3 (bottom) should have roughly same. I don't think losing 1 IC chip cuts power output that drastically where it can be upwards of 10c difference?
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
I also tried overclocking the core. I'm on stock voltage, the maximum boost seems to be 2115MHz (+75 on core), the core voltage is jumping from 1.042-1.07 and power consumption is 290w average (hwinfo).
 
 
The gpu is sitting 40-41c, I thought I should be able to get more (around 2200 core at least) given it's a highly binned card?

I hate to break it to you but my Founders perform better than my KINGPIN cards, you pay a price premium for the name, shunt mod, BIOS, power delivery on PCB and warranty service with EVGA.

If you're not putting these on LN2 I'd be inclined to tell you that you're wasting your money, I've seen alot of people not even managing stable 2145MHz and being stuck at 2130MHz, the cards VRAM itself uses higher latency than your other Ti cards hence the ability to clock them higher (doesn't actually mean it performs better). But yes it's a nice card if you need a warranty allowed LN2 card without much effort, plug and play I guess.

These cards aren't much more binned than your average card, NVIDIA keeps the best chips to themselves, GALAX OC LABS is the only true top tier card for XOC, Kingpin is secondary.

Your founders hold that high clock? Would guess the smaller power regulation would equal dancing clocks at best.

The higher power limit is the main reason I bought the kingpin.

I'm looking to see if I did anything wrong. My XC Ultra under waterblock (~42c) managed 2100MHz flat and +1300 on memory. Though this is using the 380w GALAX bios which supposedly have looser timings.
 
Surely the Kingpin card can do better?
 
I've not read that Kingpin uses nonstandard memory timings, how did you find out?

FE VRM should be fine until 450w with decent cooling.

Quite interesting. I had 2 2080 Ti FTW3s (first was RMAd due to atrocious coil whine that the replacement didn't have). First card couldn't clock mem over 500 and core over 2100 peak. Second did 900 mem and 2115 core with hybrid kit, possibly 2130 on water and below 40C. MY KP below 40C (mid 30s) does 2190 peak and +1400 mem (tested recently in winter, was stable for 6 hours of stress tests). But my daily driver that has 44C max during RTX heavy load is 2175 peak and +1000 mem (can do 1400 mem OC at that temp too). So I think these are binned but not always that highly. I have seen peoples 2080 Tis get 2115 and less on average. It could also mean that I am just quite unlucky lol since I had to buy bykski block because the original EVGA one doesn't fit even after quite a few RMAs.
 
I also have to add, my KP @2115 core and +900 mem performed a bit better than my FTW3 @2115mhz and 900mem. Think it was 4% difference which was weird. 
I probably would have bought a founders edition to begin with because of availability but no retailer sells those here and NVIDIA doesn't sell in my country for some arcane reason, so can't really judge FEs.

Most of the kingpins in general with the OC bios were able to get around 2175 to 2190 on the core and memory around 8200 without using the classy tool. If using the classy tool the memory in general would get to around 8500 and the core to about 2205 and a very few a little higher than that. This was with the stock AIO cooler, once you get to a custom loop you can get just a bit more but not much.

I was only able to get 2100 @45c stable (75 offset), I can't get 2115/2130 (90 offset) stable without dropping temps to 40-41c which requies 100% fanspeed.
 
Result is kinda disappointing tbh.

Are you sure raising core voltage actually helps on ambient cooling?
 
I know memory is fine with raising voltage a little, but I always thought core doesn't scale voltage if not subambient cooling?

Probably me being stupid and not as smart as the EVGA people but why do i have to use LN2 to get full fan speed?
Why can't I get it whenever I want it ?
Is fan speed so important for EVGA to take away control from people that have spent so much ?

Weirdly enough, this is my KINGPIN SLI vs FE runs, KP didn't touch above 40c at 2175MHz with higher memory clocks than FE, FE is at +1100MHz mem w/65c max temp. https://www.3dmark.com/compare/pr/199596/pr/88702

Hi all

On my first kingpin I had disappointing frequencies +70 with the OC bios for the core (2115-2100) and the memory could go up to 1300 but not steady in all my games at 1000 was good.

Luckily, my card had a big bug of freeze at startup and I changed it with an RMA. After trying the card works a little better 104 with the OC bios for the core (2145-2130) and 1580 for the fixed memory in bench and games for now. For the core is the max even with the stock memory I can not climb higher what I find curious because I think it can do better.

I precise I reinstall my OS put the frequencies stock of the processor and the memory and that changes nothing.

Many on the forum have frequencies which go up to 2175-2190-2205 on the core.

My power supply is an HX1000 Watts is what this has an impact. The card never goes up to 520 watts more in 380-400 and with the rest of my configuration my power never reaches its limit.

If you can tell me what you think about it, if it's normal or not its would be nice.

520w is when pushing it with different bios like XOC, my card if I dont use classified never goes above 340w at 2190mhz/8000mhz. Honestly I don't think I'd recommend anyone buy a kingpin, they're not all created equal.

My Ftw3 I sold the night before my KPE arrived in firestrike out scored the KPE by 2900 points, FTW3 @2115/8300 VS KPE@2175/8000. In timespy my KPE is about 200 points off my FTW3. Using classified tool memory dosen't even hit 1200 stable in Timespy/port royal. Can hit 1300mhz no classified in firestrike.
