Here's my question, are these going to be built in a limited run, for example so many thousands or only produced until a set date? Its bad that we have guys here like myself that check the site every date to catch just one of these but other people whom got first runs of them threw them on ebay for a $1000 premium over the already high cost.

hey guys I have a issue with my OLED display, I installed latest PX1 and it asked me to do a firmware update, that it failed (even if I tried several times it didn't finished) after I canceled it - there are 2 options (retry / cancel) I noticed that my OLED went dark, when I try to set it as default from PX1 it crush is (without doing anything).

I tried on different bios('es) - is the same behavior.

Is there any solution to fix this ?

In PX1 under setup it is mention that is not the latest version - but I cannot force it from there as it give an error

1. version px1 info.PNG

2. Message when I try to update : (PX1.png)

3. Error 1 : 16 bit

4. error 2 : contact your admin

So I have had my card nearly two weeks! and finally got around to setting it up.
I have been playing the division 2 lately so I loaded it up, and it's at 1440P with
default settings in game since it's a new install. (OS and all).
Out of the box card was boosting to 2050 I set the curve for 2280 at 1.062 so it's
dropped a little from temps.

@rodarkone
Just turn off check for updates
DO NOT Set PX1 to Start With the OS.
Power Off your Computer and Turn Off Your Power Supply for a few minutes.
Uninstall LED Sync
Uninstall PX1
Delete C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1
C:\Program Files (x86)\EVGA
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\EVGA_Co.,_Ltd
Restart you computer.
Exit All other Apps you have running like Corsair Link and MSI Whatever and ASUS Software Suite then install PX1 As an administrator AND Install Only PX1 NOT LED Sync and Keep the Default Settings, Do Not Change the Default Install Location that is.
DO NOT Start PX1, Exit the Install and then Restart your Computer
Exit All other Apps you have running like Corsair Link and MSI Whatever and ASUS Software Suite then Start PX1
This is what My Card Shows. 2B.FA.37

That's correct - the firmware is screwed up. I think there is a incorrectly written (I guess different version of 2080Ti .. considering is not reading the specific sensors, but reading the CPU temp)

I already performed the above steps :) clean up all the junk, running as admin, etc including reg cleanup but seems is still an issue somewhere

Will try to do the cleanup again in safemode and as last resort I will try the board in a different system and install the PX1 there to see if it's kicks off with the new firmware update.

PS: i didn;t even installed Led Sync as is not needed :) in my opinion :)

Are your Chipset Drivers up to date as well as your Motherboard Bios?
Maybe install PX1 and Clean up as posted above and then Uninstall ALL the NVIDIA Drivers and Software and then Run DDU in Safe Mode to Clean up.
Then install only the Graphics Driver and PhysX Drivers and the USB Stuff.

I still don't get how this whole curve business works. My card's max is around 2130-2150. Doesn't push much higher than that or it becomes unstable. The variability between cards is interesting.

I'm using afterburner if it matters 4.6.1 beta 2.  PX1 does not give me OSD in division 2 I'm just dragging the 1.062 point up to 2280 set 120% power. and fans/pump 75%. and apply. So far max power I see used is 295W.
GPUZ not showing any any perfcaps besides idle.

Using after burner with 2 2080 ti kingpins, I dknt seem to be able to figure out how to lock the voltage. I get the first steps done but when I add the OC it brings the voltage down.

Unlink cards. set first one, apply, save profile (like position one)
set second card, apply, save to different profile, (position 2)
to bring back after reboot, whatever, select card one apply profile 1, select card 2 apply profile 2
there is some way to keep cards linked and make it work, like copy the "VEN_" file to another directory, rename it changing a digit. and copy it back, but I cant find the source post on it any more. and forgot how to do it.

I'm pulling the 2080ti FTW3 Ultra now. Running DDU and then putting the Evga 1080Ti FTW3 elite and that will get me by "Stock cooler" till I can grab a Kingpin. :)

Hopefully when its time to retire that card i'll remove the cooler and hang it on the wall! That's a sexy bare card! Total art piece.

Hope I don't regret all the work of removing the loop and putting the stock block back on.. Man the next person that gets this card better seriously appreciate it and know how to overclock it! This card should not lay low at stock clocks.

Oh, my best Firestrike Extreme score is 18666. 2160/8475. Pulled that off this evening. Downclocked to not hit the power limit much.

Can't wait for fresh bench OS. I blew up my bench last night messing with truncate mem/max mem in Windows 10 Pro. BCDEDIT refuses to remove the /set removememory value I added in a failed attempt to torture my B-Die

What are everyone's stable clocks in games? I don't notice much difference at all once I go past +95 or so on the core, so I've left mine at 90 for daily driving.

In games my clocks stay at 2100 Mhz at all times. Not sure if this is on par or not.

Pretty similar then. My memory clocks with some of the games I play (well, one in particular really) are really finicky and I'll get inexplicable driver crashes sometimes. I backed off the memory to +900 as a result. I'm not convinced it really makes much difference anyway. Not much difference in benchmarked gameplay between the two so I've concluded that it's insignificant.

Same here on the Memory +1000 seems my best for Gaming or Crunching/Folding.

Re: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN is HERE! 2019/04/23 04:13:14 (permalink)
Has anyone disassembled their Kingpin at all yet? I really want to make the foray into custom loop cooling with this card but taking a card apart for the first time is giving me severe anxiety lmao. The thing that worries me the most is the delicate OLED screen.

With how mine runs with the AIO I cant help but imagine how it will run with two big radiators in a custom loop.

Seems they are pretty easily disassembled based on the couple videos I've seen. The OLED screen should be simple just have to be careful removing the ribbon connection similar to a cell phone repair job.

Take a look:

I've had my Kingpin for almost two weeks. Extremely solid overclocks. Extremely solid built card. Lots of benchmarking and game playing (Battlefield V, 4K Maxed).
During game play the core (overclock +145) is running a rock solid 2145(48C core temp, 85% fan speed) and memory at +1400(16,800 Effective speed). No fluctuations with the clocks!
Water pump is silent. The OLED is very convenient, mine is setup the monitor Core speed, GPU Temp and Card Power draw(Watts). Nice to see this info real time.
Yes, this card is expensive, but don't judge until you have watched the video's describing the technology/engineering that went into this design. Nothing else compares.

Interesting choice with the hybrid. I’m sure that this question has been asked before - my apologies beforehand... wouldn’t it have made more sense to sell with a base air cooler? Given the intent of the card itself - it seems geared toward custom loop or LN2.

Air is an easy teardown and refit.

No?

I used to mine. Now I compute.

The hybrid is just as easy for tear down and LN2, and allows the bencher to test their card with lower temps overall, so the hybrid would actually be better and the split memory and VRM plates can assist so that the VRM plate doesn’t need to be removed when slamming voltage through them to the core.
