AHowes Not to brag but my 9900k at 5.2ghz I do AVX set to 0. 5.2ghz 100% of the time. Never down clocks. Temps in the 70s at max avx load.
Still playing with it as it's new and would love to push for more but it's going to take a whole lot more voltage.
Maybe I should use a avx setting.. using realbench to test but it uses avx. Cinebench I use first.
Wow lucky, I have a 8086K that does 5.2ghz(1.34V stable, delid ofc) without offset with my current 360mm AIO (custom loop by the end of year) at max of 82C during stuff like prime95, 72C average in AVX workload, but with max gaming load I was able to throw at it resulted in 60C (90% usage). I had a 9900K as well, wanted 2 extra cores and 4 threads for some extra perf in benchmarks and some games but it wouldn't go past 4.9ghz(1.33V), only with voltages over 1.35V which resulted in house fire- I mean 90-100C with throttling even with my 360mm AIO at full speed, didn't keep it because while yeah got 2 extra cores and some extra perf over my 8086K in benchmarks, my games suffered around ~12fps drop in mmos I play often where it mattered a lot since I play on high refresh rate. So don't think I will have great scores (combined and all) in benchmarks when I finally get my hands on the KINGPIN (EVGA please bring it to EU already, thanks). edit: My 8086K can do 5.3ghz @1.38V in realbench for 24hours no crash, stable in games, rendering and many other apps that i tried, no errors but if I want to use prime95 I have to go to 1.395V for stable and at that point temps are in 90s which is a big no. Aida64 stress test tho doesn't go above 88C and works with 1.38V without crash for 12h+.

@9900kers Offtopic a bit but. AVX offset and vdroop + thermals seem to be the factors with the 9900K. If I want to run 0 AVX @5.2 I need about ~1.375v vs no AVX @ 1.335v. As we know LLC at extreme is bad and even high/turbo ect.. on many motherboards due to core vmax spikes when load is removed I call this corev-rebound... I think that is what causing the crashes in games like apex and BF5 which use AVX. This behavior is observed on my build IDK about everyone else. the LLC vmax spikes are definitely a thing #PURESPECULATION Bout to start my weekend of tweaking the 2080ti KPE on a fresh Bench OS!

Wow that was a turd of a 9900k! I thought basically all 9900k's could do 5ghz all cores as long as you could bare the heat. My 8700k did 5.2ghz as well. Wanted to do 5.3ghz but was not willing to without more voltage then I wanted to go.. basically the same with the 9900k. Though I'll try again! Haha. Trying to decide on a new case as I cant figure out how to mod my current thermaltake tower 900 to fit more rads. Close to just pulling to trigger on the core P7 and mod that for 4 rads. 480x2 and 360x2. Want to order another 2 480s but at this point, I've already doubled my original budget and the 360s are just sitting there.. so instead of selling them for cheap, I'll just add them. The 9900k is delid and direct die cooling. I would not suggest doing the direct die cooling as there is known issues with getting good pressure (pin contact). Basically I should be removing it and figure out how to add thin sheets of copper squares around the die and lap it all flat so I get even pressure to the CPU so it sits right. And lap the CPU cooler as well. Easier would be to just buy a copper top and forgot about the direct cooling. Wifes all stressed over all this.. crazy as shes effected by my pc problems. So the sooner the kingpin hits the better for this house. Get this build done.. back to normal. Spring is here and a ton of work to get to outside! Grass is long and begging to be cut the first time but the rain wont go away so I can! Haha Wife wants to totally pull all old bushes and plant all new this year.. get a crew and pay them! No thanks! Yeah I hesitated a few mins checking for that or the block. No matter I'm back in the game. Thank you EVGA! God I hope I never need to spend that much for a GPU ever again lol.. once! Basicly 2k after tax and code and shipping. Now to tell the wife.. :) I'll get yelled at even though she pushed me to buy it!

Congrats! The best of the best! I can't even think of anything more exciting then overclocking and benching a new graphics card! I'm a giddy as a 4 year old on Christmas morning rooting my card on to finish that bench at high overclocks!

EVGA_JacobF There will not be an HC model, but there will be an HC aftermarket block.
Bummer but thank you for this update.
When is the hydro copper block supposed to be available?

wwxww I got all shaky after I saw "back in stock" entering my card numbers. I was just in here to learn some more about 3D and scoring. Just in time. Holy shart...I said I wasn't going to but damn I feel really good.
Congrats! The best of the best!
I can't even think of anything more exciting then overclocking and benching a new graphics card!
I'm a giddy as a 4 year old on Christmas morning rooting my card on to finish that bench at high overclocks!
Congrats Sir!!! This is kinda crazy for me too. I always wanted one of the special edition Cards I see others with. The 1080 I have always served me well. The no HC made it easy to just do it already. I was on auto alert. It would have been a week before I saw my mail. lol SWEET!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4UqMyldS7Q

Whats your Ring Ratio @ 5.3 should beat me until tomorrow night that is. Wify doesn't know it yet but im benching all weekend
On 9900k and z390 Dark I run 5.2 @ 1.315v -25% vdroop Ring 47 avx 3 pwm freq 800 everyday. For 3dmark I run 5.3 @ 1.36v -25% vdroop Ring 48 avx 3 pwm freq 800. Struck gold from a off the shelf purchase from newegg on the 9900k. I am going to try a few more fan configs this weekend to see if I get lower temps on the Kingpin, duct tape is my current best friend from sealing up leaks with 12x140mm and 4x120mm fans in my Thermaltake Wp100 case.

I got serial # 00074 and #00100 from the first release. I'm curious how many they are going to produce total.

Do many people get two? Is it something worth getting two of and selling one if only using one of them?
