Dust covers.. yeah are they very fine dust covers? I say no to dust covers.. kill air flow.. unless there not that fine and I'm running a 360/480 rad and have plenty of airflow.

My cats will say otherwise, hah. Their furry goodness will get all up in my Kingpin’s business otherwise.

I’m gonna try some testing with the radiator outside of the case with the fans at high speed and see what happens. Hopefully good results.

I’ll be swapping the radiators back regardless.

Bummer on the cat hair. If ya see much day light there that fan filter then thats your problem.

Should test it without the filters to see if that's your answer. Just to know that it's the cause or part of the cause of your higher temp issue.

If you want to see a Solid 1.09 on the OLED then Run  62475
You may need to Reduce your Overclocking.

Running Cloud Gate reminds me how nicely muted the coil whine is on the kingpin, barely noticeable for me.  My Zotac 2080ti's, on the other hand, I can hear the coil whine through the whole apartment.

I see four kingpins listed on ebay now.
Note: One listing has two available.

Yep, super annoying. So much for the "One Per Household" messaging on the checkout page. EVGA should have, at the minimum, actually prevented buyers from adding more than 1 per checkout. Adding this hurdle would have forced these resellers to make a second purchase (and an additional hit on their credit card) in order to obtain a second one. This extra action may have helped prevent them from hitting Ebay at these absurd prices. It also would have freed up a few extra units for those of us who were unable to make their purchase within the first 8 hours of launch.

Sadly, my return window to Micro Center has now passed, so even if they release more, my purchase window is closed. Oh well...

Man I missed my window on the 11th as well to return my ftw3. I knew the power limit was everything. Last night I was testing my card some more trying to bench extreme without hitting the power limit..

Here I find out my card benching at 2145 is almost 500 points faster then 2190!

So their is proof how a power limit trashes your scores! 18700+ I scored at 2145/8450. 18300+ at 2190mhz. :/

I'm like thinking of boxing it up and storm the store and see if the manager will let me return it.. well call first.

That FTW3 has a better GPU on it than your KPE...

Dont mean squat though for benching cause my card will hit the power limit at times yo yoing "dancing I like to call it" the clocks up and down when its hit.

Can score higher at lower clocks then my max overclock as long as I stay under the power limit. So 2190/2205 overclock on a ftw3 is like a false prophet when 2145 under the power limit scores 300+ more points in benching. So a shunt mod would need to be done to raise the power limit or just pay up for a kingpin with a higher power limit and keep a real smooth high overclock for higher bench numbers.

If power limits weren't a thing on graphics cards I'd be sitting pretty and max memory clocks to boot of 8450.. trouble signs show up at 8500.

Gaming dont matter.. if your gaming ftw3 game on. If benching is your thing then kingpin.. both? Kingpin.

Yeah of course, but the GPU is still really important.  My KPE GPU's stability ends after 2130, and it's definitely a hindrance on benches.

Well temps will play a roll. Mine will rock well under 40c. Holds 38-39c durring games. Game at 2190mhz..After 40c that will drop to 2175 and hold.

So your clocks may go up under a good custom loop and tweaking.

My temps are very similar to yours, but once the card hits 2145 a crash is incoming. It's not a power thing either, increasing the power target doesn't really do anything.  Considering returning it and eating the loss just so it stops bothering me.

Yeah kinda didnt expect clocks that low with kingpin as there binned chips. In the video they claimed cards would be around the 2205mhz area.

The Kingpin binning mentioned was probably all accomplished under a strictly controlled environment on a test bench properly prepared and controlled.

And the mention was “all of the cards we have tested” not “every card will reach ####mhz”

No one can guarantee exact clocks will be the same on every system, which is kind of unfortunate but it is reality.

just playing with the Classy tool memory bus was @2075 and gpu still @2190

I should probably move on to another benchmark but I like to get to know a card with each. This is probably close to the best my build can do in its current configuration.
Idle temps on the KPE 29c
GT1,GT2 and combined load temps 39c
that CLC is a masterpiece or the card is lieing about temps. I prefer the first option

Hawk tested FF15 and Tombraider again... its very boring leaving a game on for an hour each. So same settings   +100/+1200  with ambient temp today at 24 I just decided to take some pics..     Anyone in the forum have a link on how to use Classified tool and is it stable for playing games or just to boast benchmark scores? thanks

Is there any quoted clocks with the kingpin? $1900 and subpar clocks under a chaperone $1200 ,card would sting.

Nope, only the specs on the webpage guaranteeing 1770mhz.

Either my card’s cooler is defective or there is some modification done to your case setup that allows for more airflow. Or there’s a difference in resolution or graphical settings. Which is unlikely. Difference in fan speeds could be it too. Having tried the radiator in the exhaust position in the Evolv X, I just don’t believe it. My card was literally puking hot air out the top of the case.

Im not sure either. I am using a z390 ROG Max Xl with 9900k @ 5mhz noAVX...that itself should be pretty hot but when I check the air being  blown at the KPE it's not bad at all as you can see the temps never go over 60. I'm not sure if game settings and res matter but I like gaming at 4k and as high of setting as possible. Why else have a 2080TI kingpin right. oh, all the fans in my case are ML120s except the back exhaust fans is stock 140.  I'm seeing a lot of love for Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM and i might get some to try

"Yeah, because it was suggested that the AIO pump may not have been running well with where the tubes were with the front mounted radiator position."
It was not that the Tubes or Radiator was in the Front of your case, it was more that the Tubes were below the pump.

The case is to small for this size of a Hybrid Graphics Card

The Evolv X interior is designed in such way that no space is lost, providing you with the ultimate flexibility to customize your desired configuration. Whether it’s a high-end watercooling show case, professional data storage system or even a dual-system PC, the Evolv X has got you covered while keeping a mid tower form-factor.
It is a nice case.

So think I figured it out. It seems to be that any fan curve that you apply in Precision X1 DOES NOT continue to stick unless you have PX1 in the background. This makes absolutely zero sense and is a MASSIVE flaw in the software but that's apparently what the deal is. I set the fans on my radiator to jump up to 85% when hitting 40 C and I watched my temperatures drop by 6-7 degrees Celsius all with a game running in the background. Ridiculous. Taking off the front of the case dropped temps by 1 C. Taking the dust filter off dropped temperatures by 1 C additionally . But even with those differences I don't have a drop in clocks if I put the front of the case back on. I only "lose" 15-30 Mhz or so off the top end and that isn't going to mean anything in games. I could put some industrial Noctuas on there but I don't care for that sort of noise level and it isn't going to make any difference in games. Any additional variance is probably just due to the individual GPU, thermal paste, etc. Also known as insignificant stuff I don't care about at this point in time.

At this point I don't even know if a full custom loop is worth it for 30 Mhz when gaming. I guess so?
I'll be buying a water block for my Kingpin regardless. If I don't end up using it, it'll be a nice shelf ornament at least. lmao

Edit: keep in mind this is after I swapped my Kingpin back to the front intake position.

They are without question the best radiator fans ever made, bar none. They aren't cheap but they are the best. Your ML120's are also really good fans, probably 2nd or 3rd to the Noctua's #1 spot, 2nd/3rd spot is a toss-up between GT/Vardar's and ML120's. Not sure if the difference would be worth the expenditure coming from ML120's unless you are looking for the absolute best in noise:perf, cost be damned (my ML120's had some mild PWM ticking when undervolting, otherwise I would've been quite satisfied keeping them).

Makes perfect sense and why we tell people to set a "static" fan speed in px1 and then close it if your going to use afterburner to overclock.

How can one expect software to control a fan if the software is closed? Its not like the card has a built in chip that's saving its last instructions to memory when you close it. Yeah for a static fan speed bit nothing is running the fan dynamically but the cards bios after you close px1.

Could hook the rad fans to a external fan controller and just crank it for games and down for normal crap.

See https://xdevs.com/guide/2080ti_kpe/#biost for the Bios
See https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/ the Flashing Tool
Type nvflash64 -6 2589L390.rom from inside the Folder you unzip the files in, and the CMD or Command Prompt must be Ran as Administrator.

I'm seeing a lot of love for Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM and i might get some to try

They are without question the best radiator fans ever made, bar none. They aren't cheap but they are the best. Your ML120's are also really good fans, probably 2nd or 3rd to the Noctua's #1 spot, 2nd/3rd spot is a toss-up between GT/Vardar's and ML120's. Not sure if the difference would be worth the expenditure coming from ML120's unless you are looking for the absolute best in noise:perf, cost be damned (my ML120's had some mild PWM ticking when undervolting, otherwise I would've been quite satisfied keeping them).

Don't forget the Gentle Typhoon's are also known as one of the best rad fans ever designed as well.
