REALLY REALLY hoping for more movement on the 3898. Just upsetting how other skews will move several minutes to hours and this one is moving barely seconds

exactly. its been 4 weeks since my last post in this thread asking how long will it take. I'm pretty sure EVGA dose not have a proper plan to move 3888 forward like the rest of the skews. so anyone registered for 3888 might even get impacted by this new price hike as well. cos i have read or heard somewhere EVGA will honor the original prices only up to April. looking at the way 3888 standing still i guess i will need to pay the new price. so I'm wondering is that really worth it?

I received my EVGA email notification this afternoon to buy the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING, 24G-P5-3988-KR.  Never spent this much money on a single component for my PC, ever! Still, I'm looking forward to it. Most likely will replace the hybrid water cooler with a full GPU block once there are good blocks available at retail.

guess you made the wrong selection like i did. if only we both wanted useless lights in our water blocks....
The fancier looking hybrid model also has an additional power plug raising max power limit of the card from around 350 or so to 500 watts, meaning more performance possible

Sorry about that. It was a bit chaotic. I do think that it legitimately moved about 50 seconds (give or take five seconds or so). But, there is sufficient squishiness in that number that I am not going to remove the note until we get new confirmations of a drop to that queue. It is not dropping today, from which I draw the conclusion that they are still digging out from the mess of yesterday's excess email distribution.

No need to apologize, I get that things can be a bit of a mess. Great news that, at worst, we're probably not going to be far off the initial observation. Just need another 30-35 seconds and I'll be getting my email.

My 3090 showed up yesterday! Is it the card I wanted? no, but it's the card I could buy. Is it going to get chocked out by my 6700K? Yes, yes it does. Will it be pushing my 850 watt power supply? probably, but with the 6700K, there isn't much point in over clocking the thing.  The image is rotated so the front of the computer is the bottom of the picture, but this why I wanted a hybrid card. There is barely any space between the GPU and the PSU. Also had to use the noctua slim fans because of the ram, but they have done a decent job of keeping the GPU in the 50C range under full load. Again, no plans on overclocking since my CPU wouldn't be able to keep up. What's missing is a additional exhaust fan in the back of the case that I have just barely spinning, and you can just barely see the third 120 intake at the bottom. The radiator at the front has the pump in the rad, so the tubes up are fine.
