So I have my code to buy the 3090 XC3 hybrid I was looking to actually get the FTW3 hybrid seems I don’t have the opportunity to wait for that notify que to be available while this code is ticking away.
how much extra head room dose the FTW3 actually have VS the XC3 ? In terms of stable overclocking and power draw I know the FTW3 has 3 8pins vs the 2 on the XC3
I was in the same boat. I wanted the FTW3 Hybrid but wasn't sure how long until it would be available so I got this XC3 instead. I didn't realize though that the FTW3 used 3 8 pins and the XC3 only uses 2. I thought all the 3090's used 3 8 pins, so yes now I'm wondering if I made the right choice. I could have bought the FTW3 non hybrid a few weeks ago as I got my link to it but I decided to wait for Hybrid as I like my 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid a lot. I tend not to OC my cards though as they are already factory OC and will run at the max turbo most of the time because of the water cooling.

This is good to know! How much slack did he have in the hose left? I'm worried because my card is vertically mounted. I believe the hybrid kit should fit as I measured the distance with a measuring tool and it looks like it should fit but you never know with these things, feedback?
Not a lot of slack. It is pretty tight. He had the hose connection to the rad at the floor. Didn't even try it the other way.
Can you please share photos? I'm a bit worried. Do you see any issues I might run into? My card is vertically mounted so it is about 1 inch closer at least to the side fans.
I believe the O11 Dynamic XL has more space in it. Really interested in how things turn out for you KingEngineRevUp
It definitely has more space and my card is vertically mounted so the tubes will not obstruct anything, my fear is the tubes won't be long enough for me to side mount the radiator with tubes down. I have a Plan B and Plan C though. I am doing a push-pull configuration.
Plan A, My original plan was to put the radiator inside of the case which you can do in the Lian Li. See attached photos.
Plan B, the push pull will have to be completely internal. I can't hide the radiator in the rear of the case, boo...
Plan C, I'll have to switch my AIOs, this will be a headache! The EVGA will have to be top mounted and the CPU one will have to be side mounted with tubes up...

Anyone with a Lian Li Dynamic XL, this is what I'm looking to achieve, hopefully the tubes are long enough. From from research I have done, they look like they will fit, but just barely!  bradsour

Yes I have a Phanteks vertical mounting bracket, it only takes up 5 slots so can be moved 2 slots up or down in the 7 slots of the Lian Li. I also have an XL case, not the non-XL which is a tighter fit. Here is an idea I have for you. So there is a built in vertical mount and it is only meant for 2 slot cards I believe that are water cooled because the card will be right up against the glass.  https://www.mcmaster.com/screws/thread-size~6-32/socket-head-screws/socket-head-profile~ultra-low/ Apply some electrical tape over the screws just to be safe.

Oh I see that could work with the XL case. But I don't have the XL case. I have the regular one. Which is about 25% smaller in that space between the glass and the PCIe slots.
IC, yeah I don't think you can fit anything behind your vertically mounted GPU in a non-xl :(

So I snagged an EVGA RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA HYBRID today and also purchased an EK water block to go with it (slightly miffed I couldn't get the STRIX as that was the card I REALLY wanted). Here's hoping this one will do the job though.
I'm assuming we wont be able to push this card as far as the ultras or the STRIX (overlocking) but so long as it gives me in the ball park (gaming perf) results I'll be relatively happy.

Admittedly, my buddy did not try to put both the rad and the pull fans in the back of his XL shroud. He only put the pull fans. I think your approach may be doable. But really tight. Please post pics when you get it set up!

When is the button going to be back for the 3080 FTW HC?
It likely won't relight until they are close to clearing the current queue (or until after they've cleared that queue) -- if the other Hybrid queues are precedents. So, that would mean sometime in (hopefully early) 2021 as the HCs have been delayed.

on the hybrids, when does the gpu fan kick in? i mean the actual fan on the gpu, not the rad fans. im having some system shutdown issues im trying to track down, and im wondering if my mems getting too hot and shutting down. i dont think ive seen that fan kick in yet.

I'm losing my mind with this shipping. Remember I asked why it said Anaheim for days? Well you guys were right it was simply traveling and arrived in Georgia on the 8th (I live in Florida) NOW!?? It is in OHIO!!?? WHY? It still says it arrives on the 10th! I don't see that happening. Why did it move almost 400 miles in the opposite direction!? I'm GPU less right now and it looks like I won't get it till next week maybe? I should have just bought the fast shipping this is a nightmare.
