I got the email to purchase the 3090 hybrid. What I really want is to put a waterblock on the GPU which would mean getting the hybrid and putting an EKWB waterblock on, or waiting for the 3080/3090 hydrocool to finally become available. If I did get the 3090 hybrid, would there be a market for me to sell the hybrid cooler? Or would that be unwise since I would likely want to keep the hybrid cooler in case I ever had to send in the 3090 for warranty support.

So I have my code to buy the 3090 XC3 hybrid I was looking to actually get the FTW3 hybrid seems I don’t have the opportunity to wait for that notify que to be available while this code is ticking away. how much extra head room dose the FTW3 actually have VS the XC3 ? In terms of stable overclocking and power draw I know the FTW3 has 3 8pins vs the 2 on the XC3

I'm thinking more about the warranty angle. If I had to send the card back I think I'd need the original cooler back on it. I'd love to get a hydrocool but it sounds like they're fixing some issue with those.

I got my auto-notify email as well. I was not expecting that at all. I figured that I would have to wait at least until the second drop, but I guess that this card hasn't attracted a lot of attention. Anyone know how far the tubes can be bent before they get a kink in them? Installed a 3090 FTW3 Hybrid in an O11 Dynamic and the tubes smash up against the glass side panel.
I have an O11 dynamic myself, this is concerning to me. With how wide the case is, you'd think it shouldn't have any issues like that. Argh! Hope it turns out well for you.

I helped my buddy install his in o11 XL. If you are "front" (i.e., side) mounting the rad, the hoses will touch the glass, but the bend doesn't look too bad. It is the reach to the front/side that looks a little tight. But it is doable. He did a push/pull with the extra space behind the shell. Looks good. Best of luck!

Been scouring a few threads for a bit and I haven’t seen anyone mention a 3888 notification. However Jacob said their were 3888s going out today. My guess is just a small number, but idk.

Nope, I'm holding out for the hydro copper. I'm hearing now that the delay won't be a long one, so I am going to pass on the 3978. I don't mind waiting another month or two for a 3080HC or 3090HC, whatever I can get first. I am kind of bummed in a way because I don't want to hold up the queue. I had auto-notifies for other cards, but I canceled them before the emails went out because I didn't want to make someone wait an extra day to get their card. I didn't have time to cancel this one. But, based on this success, I feel pretty good about my chances of getting a HC as long as the auto-notify is announced in advance.

It definitely has more space and my card is vertically mounted so the tubes will not obstruct anything, my fear is the tubes won't be long enough for me to side mount the radiator with tubes down. I have a Plan B and Plan C though. I am doing a push-pull configuration. Plan A, My original plan was to put the radiator inside of the case which you can do in the Lian Li. See attached photos. Plan B, the push pull will have to be completely internal. I can't hide the radiator in the rear of the case, boo... Plan C, I'll have to switch my AIOs, this will be a headache! The EVGA will have to be top mounted and the CPU one will have to be side mounted with tubes up...

I sent the photos in a PM. You may need to do the push-pull (and lose the fans on the floor)...but I doubt it. That would be worse case scenario. I hope the photos help. Please don't share them as I didn't get permission from him and give him context...I am on a work call and just demanded shots.

Would the 3090 XC3 Ultra radiator fit to the front of a Phanteks P500A case? I don't have the case yet but really want that one. I'd be glad if the 240mm rad fits inside it.

Do you know if there is space to put another PCIe card (Nu Audio Card) behind the GPU? I have an audio card as well and that has completely taken a vertical mount off the table for me. But maybe I'm just not fully in the know when it comes to the vertical mount.

I was in the same boat. I wanted the FTW3 Ultra Hybrid but wasn't sure how long until it would be available so I got this XC3 instead. I didn't realize though that the FTW3 used 3 8 pins and the XC3 only uses 2. I thought all the 3090's used 3 8 pins, so yes now I'm wondering if I made the right choice. I could have bought the FTW3 non hybrid a few weeks ago as I got my link to it but I decided to wait for Hybrid as I like my 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid a lot. I tend not to OC my cards though as they are already factory OC and will run at the max turbo most of the time because of the water cooling.
