cpk72 Any word on the hydro copper version of the kingpin card?
Nothing until December. Probably mid-December.
What's the expectation on price? Based on past Kingpins, is it going to be about the same ($1999) or should we expect it to be a few hundred more?

FTW3 HC is $50 more than the equivalent hybrid. Considering they don't need a special block with an OLED this time for the KPE card, I would imagine the block would cost them roughly the same as the FTW3 block, so I would expect the price delta to be similar. So I'd say probably $50 - $100 more.

fragility_V1 And as an FYI, heard back from Optimus, and yes, they do plan on making a block for the 3090 KPE. No ETA, just have to watch twitter.
Thats good. I had planned on getting my CPU block and Res from them anyway.
Just my 2 cents, I saw a review (just one) on their Res and they weren't too impressed with the quality. Their blocks are top notch, but the other components are not a focus and may just be more of a way to rounding out their watercooling products. They are probably good at doing their job of holding water and will match the blocks (if that's what you're going for). Just wanted to put that out there.
You have links? Ive heard the opposite.
Just one reddit review I saw: https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/jaunw4/optimus_pc_goodies_slightly_disappointed_do_i/ I have Heatkiller Reses (?) so I didn't really follow up on it. (Glass is quite nice, IMHO)
Those Heatkillers are beefy. Aquacomputer makes a nice glass one also, but lighter and not as visually appealing as the Heatkiller. Their D5Next pumps are slick though and fully controllable.

By chance does anyone know what the tube length was for the 2080Ti Kingpin? I should have measured before selling that sucker. Worried that I might have trouble mounting the 3090 Kingpin in the same spot.

Ive seen about 10 of them that look flawless and crystal clear. I dont see any pictures containing his complaints in them. If i was disappointed then i would have taken pictures of the scratches and discoloration to back my claims. One dude which im not really buying his story having issues isnt enough to swear the product off. The only thing holding me back is everything is out of stock since all focus is on shipping FTW3 backlog.

fragility_V1 And as an FYI, heard back from Optimus, and yes, they do plan on making a block for the 3090 KPE. No ETA, just have to watch twitter. Funny I emailed them too and same response "Definitely! Not sure ETA, we'll update more when we know :)" I wasn't sure about pulling the trigger on this but knowing there is a block coming I think I'll get it. I don't want to risk not getting on the HC KP list. I will have to figure out where to put the AIO rad, the hoses don't look that long. I currently have an O11 XL with two EK PE rads and the EK o11 distribution plate in the front. I can't fit a 3 rad on the side since the distro plate is thick and the pump is too close. I guess I could remove the lower rad which isn't ideal or just let the AIO rad hang outside the case ;)
The O11 Dynamic XL will fit a 360 AIO on the side with the distroplate, the inside screw slots are still accessible so you can use 120mm mounts but the 140mm mounts will be blocked by the distroplate. You'll just need to orient it less than optimally with the hoses at the top, and the only thing that might be a problem is if your tubing is a conflict. You can mount the radiator on the back side of the bracket with the fans on the outside of the rad as push intake fans (assuming they use a typically thin AIO radiator). I'm still debating this because I got on the auto-notify queue, but I'm most likely going to end up passing on it to get an KP HC. Hoping they announce something about them soon(tm).

Has anyone found any aftermarket company that might make a nicer looking backplate for the KP HC? I could care less about the OLED and would love something that has a cleaner look to it like the EKWB 3090 FE backplate.

Probably not for awhile, and the backplate i didnt think was that bad. The board being oddly shaped is going to make it probably not as desirable to make backplate waterblocks for. If optimus offers to make a block guessing they will make a backplate.

it Probably will depend on how many people request one. Back with the 1080 classified EKWB canceled the blocks/Backplates because of the low number of cards made and it being a different pcb then other cards. I know the local PC mod shop Here in Rochester will do custom backplates because they have their own CNC. I am sure many places have these services these days

Dual loop, both with Heatkiller 140 Reses and Aquacomputer D5 pumps. CPU loop is with a GTX 480 HWLabs rad, just updated with a Optimus Signature block. GPU loop is currently empty (pulled the previous gen and waiting for the KPE, eventually) and has two rads (a GTX 280 and a GTX 560 HWLabs rads)

Ditto. People just don't think. Why would you go to a thread where the vast majority of people are already an elite member in order to post your referral code. I thought the same thing with all the people spamming their referral codes on the tweet about the scheduled time and the auto-notify being offered to elite members only at first. Literally doesn't make any sense. nova496

This is what I figured as well. To be clear I don't think the KPE backplate is bad and I do kinda like the fibonacci spiral on it, however, its a little busy looking and I'd prefer something more like the EKWB 3080/3090 FE backplates. The NVLink being notched down to the PCIe bracket width is definitely going to make it less likely a 3rd party manufacturer will make a backplate for it, along with it being a relatively low volume card. Haven't really been a fan of all the plexi stuff from Optimus but if you happen to see a 3090 KPE metal backplate / heatsink I'd certainly appreciate a ping to check it out. Have a good night and GL getting on the auto-notify for the 3090 KP HC

PopinFRESH007 Has anyone found any aftermarket company that might make a nicer looking backplate for the KP HC? I could care less about the OLED and would love something that has a cleaner look to it like the EKWB 3090 FE backplate.
Optimus said they were going to make a waterblock for the kp. Not sure if they're gonna make a new backplate for it tho.
When did they say this? Do you have a link?
