Has anyone found any aftermarket company that might make a nicer looking backplate for the KP HC? I could care less about the OLED and would love something that has a cleaner look to it like the EKWB 3090 FE backplate.

Optimus said they were going to make a waterblock for the kp.  Not sure if they're gonna make a new backplate for it tho.

When did they say this? Do you have a link?

When asked about his score being beat, Vince (Kingpin) said during the livestream that he has been OCing the same 2 cards and now that he has retail samples on hand, he can start working through those cards. My interpretation is that Vince needs to test our cards and cherry pick the best ones so he post record scores on Port Royal.

When asked about GPU quality, he said that all Ampere chips are pretty much the same, but there is the occasional freak. My interpretation os that once he collects those freaks for his personal use, he will give the rest over to packaging and shipping.

"Freak" -- that is a perfect expression.  I deleted the prior post because it wasn't clear to me whether Jacob's tweet referred to this week or next (I had originally taken it as meaning the week after Thanksgiving, but since he posted it over the weekend...I am not sure. Out of an abundance of caution, I would continue to check in-boxes through Wednesday night.

Hes not testing every single Kingpin card and putting the golden chips to the side. That would defeat the whole purpose. He prolly got random ones off the assembly line and hes now QCing them. Like i said he said the cards he gets dont go out to customers. 

Again, he said he’s been testing the same 2 pre-production cards this whole time and now that he has access to retail boards, he can start going through them. He’s not QCing them. Rather, he is looking for the good ones he can set records with. I’ll find the time stamp after work.

The 2 pre-production cards (now one, since he broke his record breaking card) were never intended to go to customers.

I have both an FTW3 Hybrid and HydroCopper reserved.  Couldn't sign up for KPE because I'm not 1337 status yet. Willing to swap if you or anyone else is interested.  Haha.

Unfortunately can't do that since the email has to match the EVGA account where the purchase will take place. I got on the auto-notify list at 6:00:14, however, I will most likely pass on the purchase and try to get a KPE HC. If I could I'd fwd you my purchase link but sadly not possible. On a positive note, this limitation is also why EVGA is currently the only ones who are doing a half decent job at mitigating the botting so its worth it :)
 
Are you planning on doing an open loop? which HC do you have on auto-notify?

You are the one who seems hellbent on spinning a narrative that Vince is sifting through every card in order to find the best ones just so he can be at the top of HOF. It's not my fault that your words reek of envy. I personally think its great that he gets to do something he loves doing professionally and that he has built a successful brand based on his skill, experience, and knowledge. I could not care any less about being the top of a 3DMark HOF. I just want a great card with top of the line performance for the PC games I enjoy.
