I owned a few gens of kingpins. The only time I recall it being marketed as binned as that near useless price based on asic. Do I personally believe they are all binned, absolutely not. I don't think any aib bins their cards.  I am more inclined to believe the HOFs are binned due to their limited nature globablly. 

There is an argument to be made about the price, at least compared to the last generation. This could explain the overwhelming interest in the 3090 KPE compared to the 2080ti KPE, which did not sell out immediately.

2080ti FE was $1200 and KPE was $1900.

3090 FE is $1500 and KPE is $2000.

The 3090 thread on OCN is nothing but people complaining about their power limits and begging others to shunt their cards for them. If you are already paying $17-1800 for a 3090, might as well get a Kingpin.

Jacob listed 520w for the LN2 bios.
 
Remember you see a XOC bios from https://xdevs.com/ in the past for the high power limit 

Thanks, so if we want to use a higher power limit we need to either use the LN2 BIOS or flash the card? What if I just want a higher power limit without removing the temperature protection? I guess I would have imagined that the KPE offered such capability out of the box. Of course this will be my first KPE which is why I’m curious.

I would say if the card had no warranty then yes it would all be unlocked from factory. That said They have the evga Classified tool for voltage control, Load Line and Over current protection that should be out for the users that have a KINGPIN card. and Normally a XOC bios with the power limit removed. For the temp limit it could be a simple command line to set will have to see if that works.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking the classified tool might be the way to do it. I actually don’t want everything unlocked, just a higher power limit with temperature protection still in place so that I don’t fry the card, so that I can see how much overclock room there is under stock water cooling without doing permanent damage. We shall all know soon I guess!
