NICROD All the humor is really helping cut through the tension and anxiety that is building up the closer we get. Thanks guys, good stuff.
Given the year that 2020 has been, I would prefer much prefer to be anxious about getting a GPU than any of the other crap that's gone on
Indeed, it's ridiculous what governments have done in response to this situation. There are so many people at home now and not going out for entertainment that these companies cannot produce hardware fast enough to satisfy demand. This combined with the results from the first lockdown has created a situation the industry has never seen before. Crazy man
Indeed, next pandemic, NVidia better have their shiff together.
You mean the next election year? I'm putting my money on aliens in 2024. Zombies are to vulgar these days, lol.

Is there going to be a 3090ti, or any other card that games/benchmarks better than a 3090, that will come out in 2021? If so will you make a KPE of that one too?
Rumor mill. 3080 TI launches in Jan/Feb to compete with the 6900XT price tag. Performance wise, it really doesn't fit in the stack at all, considering the 3090 is only 5-10% better in general. There have been zero announcements for any other Kpe editions

I would strongly prefer 2020, given that no one knows how much worse the first half of 2021 could be, you know, Rona-wise. Might be even harder to get a card next year if the government locks down even more businesses (like big warehouses full of shiny new GPUs, for example), or supply of those shiny new GPUs gets strained again further up the logistics chain. So yeah, I’ll take sooner rather than later!

I figure it'll land at $2,099-$2,199. Which I'm prepared to spend but would not spend anymore on it (exuding taxes and shipping etc)

I'd rather pay the $2,000 to $2,200 for a K|ngP|N rather than $2500 on ebay for a ftw3 or ROG STRIX. Last generation 2080ti: Nvidia's Price - $1,200 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid - $1,500 K|ngP|N - $1,800 or so I've heard This generation 3090: Nvidia's Price - $1,500 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid - $1,800 K|ngP|N - My guess is $2,100 if that trend follows, but probably somewhere between $2,000 and $2,200. Guess we'll find out Friday at 6am PT.

Honestly don't mind either way. Traditionally KPE was several months after launch.

To me, it seems like it shouldn't be that much more expensive, considering the size of the rad and block that you get with a standard KPE

I think that people learned that the 6900 will not be a 3090 replaced. AMD doesn’t have the ray tracing power to make it worth the cost.

I’ve been thinking about this. Putting the block on vs the partial block and a fan isn’t that different; labor wise. Both have to prepare the boards and then attach something. But the HC doesn’t get the rad nor 4 fans, 3 of which are RGB, I believe? There’s a little more copper maybe in the full block, but not a substantial amount nothing like the cost of those other mentioned parts... Am I missing something?

A news article from a month or two ago mentioned that the KP hybrid would be in both 360 and 240mm options, but I have a feeling that was incorrect as I haven't seen anything about a 240mm option. Has there been any mention of a 240mm option?

Kingpin is 360mm, FTW3 Ultra Hybrids are 240mm.
