Man I really want the HC card.  Would be nice to know up front if the HC card will be an elite sale too.  Got to decide on pulling the trigger on the Hybrid without all of the information is going to be tough.  I doubt anyone else will make a full block for a card that will have such limited production.

Likely, HC will be elite only at first as well.

And looks like HC won't be until December sometime:

Well, at least that'll give me some time to get elite membership. Can't say I'm not disappointed though.

Hmmm no HC, only Hybrids...  that's a little surprising.  ..and a little sad.

I'm not too surprised.  But being as they supposedly had limited lead time with the GPU to design the KPE PCB around, there would be some lag on the KPE itself.  For hybrids, it isn't too far a jump manufacturing wise, they have pumps ready to go, rads aren't anything special.   But the design of the block would be lag more.  That's a new layout and manufacturing setup.  I don't think anyone is shipping EVGA specific blocks quite yet.  Optimus is supposedly in production, and similar with EK.

Atleast, I am not the only one thinking this.

I actually got an order through using the elite members link for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra when it dropped. Took me many many try's to check out but I did succeed. I ended up canceling it shortly after as the reviews came out. Figured if I am going to spend that kind of money, maybe I should wait on the KPE. Now I am at a cross road. I was able to get my hands on a 3090 Strix and it has been sitting in the box for a couple weeks staring at me. It won't fit with my current AIO/Case setup. Either a new case is needed as the Strix is quite long or go from a 360 to 240 AIO. Also a custom loop is not off the table.

My friend said he will take the Strix and has been asking me for it daily. As long as the price is not absurd, I will try get it.
I wish everyone luck and hope everyone in here that wants the Hybrid version, gets one. I am absolutely torn on HC VS Hybrid. Would be my first loop to boot.
I hope a block shows up later on either from EVGA or 3rd party.

Considering how long the run time is usually between a launch of a new GPU series versus the release of the KPE, I hope the limited time and quick release of this card, does not detract from its over all build quality. Same concerns with the waterblocks for the HC.

I doubt it.  Relatively small run card, seems like it'd wouldn't be cost effective to make one for the KPE.  But can't hurt to ask!  I'll hit them up on twitter.

That, and I believe TiN wasn't involved with this card either.  No idea on what his involvement has been in the past, or if he was more on the MB side vs GPU.  So will be interesting to see what the impact there is, if any.  And I don't think the HC blocks from EVGA have ever been top of the line, but they kept them cool enough and no one else makes KPE blocks.  Some people had problems with cracking on the 2080 Ti KPE blocks.

I'd go with a strix unless you really want to run a chiller, LN2, or overpay for the bling-factor of "kingpin". I think the best 3090 so far for daily-driver with ambient OC is Strix

Bykski will have one. They made them for 1080ti Kingpin and 2080ti Kingpin.

Anyone used a Bykski block?  Wasn't sure of their performance.  If I remember correctly, the 2080 Ti KPE block was sorta ugly.

Havven't owned and used one myself, but the reddit community seems to back them. Next to a EKWB or Heatkiller, likely not as quality, but would still do the trick as well as a stock preinstalled block.

I used a set of bykski blocks on my 2080ti kingpins and kept #2 spot in future mark hof till the 3000 series came out. They cooled great in my opinion. I also used the bykski gpu adapter to link them. Link below is my build.

What would be nice if the hybrid block has G 1/4 fittings on it but I'm sure they make it a sealed system.   Maybe I'll try for the Hybrid with a plan to get the bykski. However, looking at their site and everything being out of stock I don't have much hope for that.

The hybirds don't have a block in the traditional sense.  It's likely a Asetek pump + block combo mounted on the GPU with a copper plate extension to the RAM (backside RAM will likely have pads to the backplate).  So not a full cover block with fittings to speak of.

Likely no steps ups, but for the 2080 Ti they sold the HC block separately after the initial release (there was no official HC card).  So you could buy the block and slap it on the hybrid.  It's the same PCB, so completely compatible.

The 2080ti KPE only had hybrid 240 on the first 2 production runs.  The HC came as a standalone block as a limited run later.  I hope we have the HC standalone block option, but Jacob indicated there will be a complete GPU/HC SKU in Dec.  It's a wait and see situation since we may have another high-end nVidia GPU revision mid/late next year if competition steps up.

I mean, while we all know the answer, isn't this a universal forum problem in general.
