Did you see this somewhere in the tweet replies? The tweet does seem to imply it'll only be Hybrids at launch. Months for a HC seems a bit excessive if they're trying to push out the first batch of HC on the 3090/3080s in December.

Got to decide on pulling the trigger on the Hybrid without all of the information is going to be tough. I doubt anyone else will make a full block for a card that will have such limited production.

I am happy with my FE, just the KPE is sexy.. heh. I don't plan on doing a custom loop and my temps on a OC with the FE are really nice which there is always room for improvement and making things cooler.

Yeah, I decided to keep the FE. I was set on the KPE just it took too long to come out and the FE got into my crosshairs in the F5 challenge of 2020. It's all good as stated above I could consider a custom loop for the FE since EK is making a block for the FE card (alongside other aftermarket manufacturers), I just don't want to go that route because of the added maintenances one will have to undertake after going open loop, Wouldn't have minded 2 AIO's (CPU/GPU)

If I recall correctly, when they did this for the 2080Ti KPE, it did not initially appear on the same page with the other 20-series cards. It had it's own dedicated page linked from the Elite page.

Yah, I think the only block option for the KPE will be coming from EVGA. For the 2080Ti the block was super expensive, probably because it had the OLED on it. For this round it sounds like they're trying to work around that by putting the OLED on the backplate. Would be nice if the KPE was the same PCB layout as the FTW3 (doubtful), then I could slap one of those giant Optimus blocks on it. A KPE with an Optimus block would be killer. Edit: Confirmed the KPE is a different PCB layout.
