Don't run it unless you have a hybrid conversion or excellent temps. Won't hurt to try just monitor your temps. .

Anyone have a link for automatic installation of old rtx 3090 ultra bios?
Normal and oc would be welcome.
Because I can't manually go back to the old bios since I installed the vbios 500w RB.
The nvflash utility gives me this error when I want to flash: "nvflash.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program or a command file."
Or is there another way to force the flashing of "old" bios manually, otherwise?
 
 

Use nvflash, techpower up has the old bios.

She made a tool that allows you to embed your own bios into the evga flashing exe.

So I've been holding off on submitting a request to the replacement program to see how it would turn out. I'm leaning more toward going in on it, but the other issue is that I water blocked my card and need to reinstall the air cooler. I saved the stock pads and they came off in good order. I'm assuming they are still fine in storage but won't know till I look. That said for the life of me I can't remember which parts had putty on them, and which ones had pads. Firstly does anyone have a reassembly guide anywhere? Also are there any recommendations for replacement pads and putty for these cards?

Buy 1mm thermal pads, that's what I did on my XC3. 
IMO the putty is a waste of time, get good pads like Thermal Right.

There is no variant. Open GPU-z and confirm the features like shaders, cores, etc. You can easily look up what the rumored 250 feature set for the 3080ti was going to be. Let's put a little logic on this.  Why would EVGA spend their profit margin on a hardware swap program only to open themselves up to bait and switch lawsuits? They wouldn't. Read up on the 0, 1, and 2 levels of binning nVidia does at the manufacturing level to further understand that they aren't hand picking dies at the AIB level to just screw over the customers.

I'm not talking about the die, I'm talking about the power draw. The Ultra is capable of pulling more than ~470 W. 
I realize that this limit might be set by the cards thermals, and I will know this for sure when I get my water block next week.

I have a 3090oc RMA card, came brand new in box with the 500W Bios preinstalled.  I ran a dedicated gpu loop through iced water using an Optimus block and could not break 465W but could hold a modest 190/1100 offset (peak of 2250mhz) in PR.  Way better than my returned day one 3090FTW from back in Sept.   I have since moved on to the KP520W Bios and laughed.  

And what is your new overclock on the KP520W BIOS? 

Well I decided to throw the KP520 bios on and it looks like it more consistently holds 500W now. 
Peaked at 520W, all power and thermals within spec, so good on that front. 
Drawing about ~20W more power, ~5 from PCIe and ~15 from 3rd 8 pin. Within the PCIe spec.
I can sustain a higher OC now. 
 
With custom fan curve I have setup I don't exceed 80 Celsius.
Having said this, thermals are definitely holding this card back from sustaining higher clocks, my water block can't come soon enough.

It's near the bottom. So long as you have a normal BIOS on one of the switches you're good. I am running the KP520w now.

I keep getting a precisionx1 firmware update. Restart required message after flashing the KP520W It’s an endless loop.

I did safe mode and removed and reinstalled and it’s still persisting.

I had to reboot in safe mode, uninstall and reflash to the old 500w beta bios to get it to act normal again.

On a positive note it ran great at 500W+ !!! Just need to understand the weird precisionx1 hangup....

Any ideas?

My first card, supposed to be a 3090oc program card, has just returned to the rma(sic) department.
Indeed this one always displayed 80w on pciexpress 16x and not exceeding 430w on the BIOS oc 500w(re sic) :(
Of course I had to pay the shipping costs again, even though I am not responsible for sending a corrupted card! What a shame....
I asked them if they are sure this time to deliver me a working card that is really part of the oc3090 program?
No answer from them... So I'm back for a lottery round... I hope this will be the last time because I can't imagine sending the card back a 3rd time and paying the high shipping costs again (over 100euros each time for me).
The nightmare continues... Thank you evga I won't forget it....on that you can be sure.. 

Is there any way to downgrade firmware installed by precision x1? Having an issue want to go back to test

Because Px1 is awful, it's a terrible program. Use MSI Afterburner, best OC application out there. 
Additionally I had to flash that BIOS 2 times.
When I initially flashed it it was artifacting in my desktop. Immediately I flashed back the FTW3 XOC vbios. 
Then I reflashed the KP520 vbios. Now it's not artifacting anymore. 
I noticed that with these cards, something gets corrupted using nvflash and you may need to try a couple times to get it in there properly. 
I've tried several bios rom now and that seems to be the case for my card. 
Thank god for that BIOS switch. 
Note I use nvflash for flashing. 
 
This is has been my experience with flashing this card, your mileage may vary.

uninstall precision x1 and use MSI afterburner, x1 not work wrong bios...

This, precision x1 is utter dog poo. I only use it for changing LED colours. 
I actually was using it before but it was crashing my games, I kid you not.
I had an OC on it and at first I though it was the OC.
But when I moved to MSI AB that same OC ran like gold, and I was even able to push a higher OC.
