All you need to do is open up Geforce Experience installer, do a custom installation of game ready driver 471.96, and check the "clean installation" box. Should work. If not install the studio driver. 

This 450W bios update keeps telling me I dont have this card.  I do.  Ive tried both the OC version and the regular 450w update and both fail.  Yes I have downloaded the 3080version twice.  “no display adapters were found that are compatible.” Ive disabled both fastboot and CSM in the BIOS as well with an enhanced command prompt and nothing is running in the background.  I have an 850w PSU.  What else can I do?  Some other dude had the same issue then he just stopped posting without any follow-up and one dude on Redditt is in my boat looking for help...
 
Its been two weeks shy of a full year since my step up and after nine months waiting for this card its been nothing but a let down in nearly every respect since.  I could have wadded up $400 and threw it away and been better off in hindsight (at this point in time anyway).  It runs Assetto Corsa Comp in VR worse than my 2070super, lol. Nobody can tell me why.  DCS run horrid on it but I think that is DCS code, lol.  IL2 on the other hand runs great in VR with this card.   Now just when I think I may have a solution to my ACC nightmare I cant apply it, lol.

I hadnt realized that a hardware switch existed.  Once I switched it from Normal to OC and applied the LHR version of the 450w BIOS it went fine.  ACC still runs horribly in VR.

Sounds like you don't know much about gpu overclocking so you really shouldn't be using xoc bios.


Reason you're not using full power in warzone is because your gpu doesn't need to, you're CPU bound. Check your gpu utilisation when playing.

With regards to your second point you've put your memory clock too high which means the vram is error correcting hence the lower fps

Youre wrong about warzone being cpu bound its deff gpu bound i also have a 5900x

Sooo, was there any official word from EVGA reg. low power draw on #3 8-pin? I've red all threads and also saw they were RMAing 3090s with same issue but still found nothing reg. 3080 ftw3s. Id love to thermal throttle that sucker with 450w heat but all I can do is 400.

I have been looking for the same info for my ftw3 3080. My Port Royal benchmarks with power limit OC bios 118% won’t draw more than 405W total at +140 core +1000 mem.

The #3 8-pin won’t get above 78W draw. So my max total board draw is stuck at 405W.
