Nvidia seems to be very sure about the coming AMD-Products. Or they have something in petto, that will be even better as the 1080Ti is. Although ICX isn't so interesting for me, because I modificate all my graphic-cards with EKWB liquid cooling, one is sure: I must have it. Now I hope, that EVGA will offer a fair step-up from my 2 month old 1080 FTW. Otherwise I'll sell the modified FTW (2100 MHz at 43° C) at ebay. And pray, that Nvidia won't launch a better card in 4-6 month. This politics is close to an edge, it's to fast. 800 $ every half-year (OK..minus the money, you'll get for the old card) plus the 170 € for the liquid-cooling - aircooling can be as sophisticated as possible, it is never good enough - is borderline.

Last time I built a new rig in 2010 it was/is Danger Den doublewide acrylic all water cooled. GTX 480 SLI got too old and switched to air for the 980 tried EVGA SC SSC FTW and all 3 cards exhibited issues running at default clocks. At that time MSI and Gigabyte had better cooler designs so I went from 980 G1 Gaming then 980 TI G1 Gaming. Still running EVGA X58 SLI board with Xeon W3520 @ 4.3Ghz I wonder if there will be any compatibility issues with this newer gen Pascal based 1080 TI ? Sadly the only gaming seen on this 980 TI has been more benchmarks and about 1-2 hours of gaming since I bought it a couple weeks after release. I've been fortunate enough to be "too busy" with increased expansion of our company it affords me plenty of money but almost no time to enjoy it for now. Hello again to everyone.

Hey guys...silly question. The "Ti" means titan, correct? So...a single unit is more than 8gigs? If not then i think I'll stick with my dual gtx1080ftw atm....

Ti has always been an abbreviation for Titanium in Nvidia nomenclature; there were Ti cards long before Nvidia ever released a Titan lineup. And yeah it's an 11GB card

Thanks for the reply! I think I'll wait for the team to release voltra. Sorry if i spelt it wrong. I guess the waiting game for that should be atleast 2 years? :/ tackle70 Ti has always been an abbreviation for Titanium in Nvidia nomenclature; there were Ti cards long before Nvidia ever released a Titan lineup. tbh I slowly start to accept the fact that cards like kingpin are becoming a thing of the past. as the chips nm go lower and lower, and gpu boost gets the card to its max, OC'ing like crazy is just marketing right now...

I really need to know this as well. Are we look at the same time delay from the 980 ti to the 980 ti Hybrid. Hope not

I'm hoping the PCB is the same as the 1080 FTW so I don't have to buy a new EK block. also +1 to praying for this to be part of the stepup program.

Scarlet-Tech ........... Think of it (sic) like this. The 1080 has a v6 engine while the 1080ti has a V8. The rev limits are lower, but the power increase and performance is substantially higher.
More like the difference between a 350 small block and a 383.

Different amount of ram modules and a different size gpu core. They arent going to be the same. Ti layout : 1080 ftw. When the 1080ti ftw is planned out, the ram and core wont move, so your ram wouldnt be properly covered at all.

Now to try to survive the week of waiting. As I ship off my 1080 FTW2 today, I'm back down to using my backup 570 HD until I can snap up a Ti. I've still got a GTX 760, but I don't feel like grabbing it out of my brother's crammed case. (Gave it to him when I got the original FTW). Not that he actually uses it for anything or has any games installed with his Xbox One in the room. He doesn't even own a PC game. Maybe I need to re-evaluate this... LOL. Glad my iCX is going to a better home where it'll be used. :)

I have tried before the acx 2.0+ or 3.0(cant remember exactly) on my titan x maxwell sli and at 75% speed and above my pc case sounded like a drill machine! If this gpu cooler is as good as accelero iii i will buy asap, so let me know guys.
