Anyone have tips on snagging one of these before they are gone within 20 min? Just watch non-stop on their site? Newsletter email sign up? Anything?!

If you have time left for the step up window, and your part number ends in Kr, and you are in a supported region (the most limiting part), yes.

Currently you can go up to a 1080 founders, 1080 evga blower, and a 1080 acx. If you have a few weeks left, you may be able to get in the step up queue for the 1080ti, once nvidia allows board partners to sell it and evga adds it to the step up.

So far we know there will be an FTW. not sure about a K|ngp|n as of yet, but it would be the perfect card for Vince and T|n to build.

Sorry for spamming but may I know if EVGA store has previously offered pre-orders for graphics cards as well, i.e. pre-order it prior the stock itself comes avaible.

I think a lot of us are waiting for Fridays reviews.      ;)

The reviews are actually going live March 9th :) Sales are starting on Friday though..

I was lucky enough to snag a preorder last week from Nvidias site !! Can't wait to get it. chose priority shipping of course :P

But I really do love the look of this EVGA TI... I never intended on keeping this founder's edition 1080Ti but I am impatient and wanted to have one right away to play with... In a few weeks when the stock starts becoming more manageable I will definitely switch out the founder's edition for a 3rd party 1080Ti ! (Unless of course EVGA releases the LONG anticipated damn Hybrid kits for the titan XP/1080Ti Then I might actually just keep the Founder's and go with a hybrid kit)

For anyone thinking about going with SLI Ti's if I can do anything to change your mind I'd feel like I did you a service :) I personally have run SLI for around 4 years... My setups were as follows... 780Ti SLI, GTX 980 SLI, titanX Hybrid SLI, GTX 1080 SLI.... and I fully regret the 1080 SLI. All other setups I was actually very fond of dual card. 2015 especially was an incredible year for SLI. we had around 90% AAA SLI game support and it was beautiful.. then 2016 came and things slowly started to drop off, until finally the 10 series cards released and Nvidia officially did away with xx60 SLI support by shipping them without SLI fingers at all, and completely dropping support for anything above 2 cards. That was literally the beginning of the end in my eyes. In the months following, SLI support on AAA games pretty much completely evaporated. We're talking maybe 20-30% of games in 2016 ended up with SLI support. 2017 unfortunately has not started off with any sort of possible good news, with pretty much the same trend continuing. Weirdly enough, it seems to be Ubisoft of all companies who are continuing multi-gpu support, albeit not great support.. but still very odd.

Anyway, what Im trying to get at with that above paragraph is, if you are buying your GPU(s) for gaming, please for the love of God do not waste money on that second card. Its really hard for me to say that because ive been such a supporter of it for years. But I had to come to terms with the fact that even though it looks incredible in your system, and is total E-peen material, its just not worth it.. Not only is the support virtually non-existent but in a lot of cases it actually will cause problems in game and end up giving you NEGATIVE scaling. meaning you get less performance with a second card present in some games..

I know it looks amazing, but unless you have some other use for your GPU's than gaming... Just say no to that second card lol.

I have the founders edition pre-ordered from the Nvidia store.

Wondering what I should do here.

Will this FTW version be available on the 10th from Amazon or Newegg?
Or is this launching direct from the EVGA store?
Or is this thing not launching on the 10th at all?

I'm guessing it will also carrying about $100 premium over the reference card.

Never used the step up program, so I would imagine there is no stepping up from a reference card to this FTW or other future edition.

I know in reality the reference cards are only a few frames slower after overclocking, but I'm trying to figure out what the best option is.

I'm pretty certain this will be the card I'm buying!     Already sold both my GTX 1080s in preparation of getting a 1080Ti!

Had been running SLI for years now since the GTX 460 but this gen SLI seems to be crap.    Very few games are supporting multi-gpu it seems and the ones that do seem to do it very poorly.    So decided to go back to a single GPU setup.

Here's one thing I haven't noticed has been asked:

When EVGA does release products, does anyone know if they tend to do it at a particular time when there's a known release day?  Some places do midnight, some 6am, etc.  If times have been all over the place, oh well, otherwise it could narrow the time window for when people can expect to start spamming F5. :)

I can confirm all of this. Had 780 SLI, then 780 Ti SLI, now Titan X (Maxwell) SLI and I cannot wait to be done with it. The past year and a half has been abysmal for SLI support and scaling and all signs point to things being much much worse with the ongoing adoption of DX12. Cannot wait to dump my SLI setup for a single 1080 Ti.

SLI is amazing from a tech and a benchmarking perspective but for general gaming it's just not worth it anymore unless you're doing something utterly crazy like 5k gaming or multiple 4k displays.
