Not yet. That will be another thread more than likely.

comrade Ok..., so I've got 13 days left to initiate a 'step-up' on my two Classifieds. Nothing has been announced about upgrading them to the ICX model. So, even if the 'step-up' time runs out on my cards, if and when they do the ICX upgrade and I finally receive them, I then have another 90 days to do a 'step-up' to the 1080Ti?
Curious about the same question, I bought my GTX 1080 Classified in last August after tax is like $800. The price already dropped for like $100 on Microcenter, and not seeing the iCX upgrade.
Hi, I actually had the same question and took the liberty of contacting EVGA by phone. To answer your question, once your ICX upgrade has been approved and shipped, you will receive 90 days step-up from the moment that your product has been shipped. Now whilest that sounds great that does not mean you can immediatly step-up to the 1080Ti. I was told that it will be approximatly two weeks from now on before shipments of the ICX products start to get on track, at this moment only 25 upgrades a day are shipped out where in two weeks that number should be quadrippled to 100 a day. The issue with the 1080Ti's will be the supplyline from Nvidia to EVGA. Before EVGA will add the 1080Ti's to the step-up programm there has to be more than enough stock to supply sales first. (Yes, as nice as the step-up sounds, sales goes before existing customers.) So keep this in mind, refference models will be sold first ofcourse, than the aftermarket models will be shipped to the supplyers and retailers and finally when there is enough stock they will look into adding the 1080Ti's to the step-up. Chances are big that if, and when the 1080ti will be added to the step-up your only possebillity will be the refference model, that until there is sufficient stock off aftermarket coolers (Or if they decide to not add those to the upgrade.) Hope this helps!
So you're saying that EVGA support confirmed to you that they would in fact not only be adding the TI to the step-up program, but there is a chance they would also be including their custom models as well?
Hi,
I fear that I may have worded it wrongly. During the conversation I was told repeatingly that at this moment of time EVGA can not make any guarantees at this moment of time because the decissions have not yet been made, or atleast not have been made official. In theorie it could be possible that aftermarket coolers will be added to the step-up, that said I do not know if any FTW models with higher clockspeeds will be added (I don't expect them to). Once more, don't expect the 1080Ti to be on the step-up anytime soon. I secretly hope that the 90 days step-up from the ICX upgrade programm were intended to give everyone the possebillity to step up to a 1080Ti, but time will have to show us.
From its history, only reference GPUs were given in return. If they gave the custom models, that'd be the first, dependent if there's lots of stock left, which never happens for the custom line, they might add it but that's all smoke and mirrors me thinks. Once they get the step up program which I'm sure some will miss the deadline by the time it happens, they'll allow the switch only to a reference 1080 Ti like they've always have in the past. Don't forget for those that might feel like bashing EVGA for missing their deadlines, EVGA doesn't have to do this as this is just a promotion by them and can stop it at any moments notice. It's just a bonus coming from them that we'll happily take.
I would gladly take the reference 1080ti as a step-up from my Classified cards!

Innovator_ Not sure if that has been posted yet, but saw this on another forum. We shouldn't expect a release until Early May.
I really don't understand the thought process behind this. I, and I'm sure thousands of others, will not wait until May. Asus have confirmed their 1080 Ti will be coming "mid March". If Asus can do it, why can't EVGA? Every GPU I've ever had has been EVGA but I'm not going to wait until bloody May for it. Please don't force me to get an Asus Strix, EVGA.

Nobody is Entitled to really have a 1080Ti!! That is just an EVGA Promotion that goes along with certain Step-up Program they have. The Step-up program can be cancelled at any time.

My thoughts exactly. I'm pure EVGA, but the TI is too good to wait any longer than I gotta.

That FTW3 is nice! I am so ready with funds for these new Ti cards as soon as they launch. I was actually able to sell my briefly-cherished 1080 FTW2 iCX today for an excellent price, so I'm ready to pounce on this or an SC the day they drop. Much as I was thrilled to have a Step Up option, and I'd have been fine with a reference board, I don't think I could be that patient. LOL! It'll be driving my triple 1200p monitor setup til I grab a 4K later in the year.

Quite true. But EVGA's amazing customer service programs like Step-Up, good extended warranties, and warranties that allow for watercooling are the biggest reason a lot of people, including me, buy EVGA. We would be SOL, but they would start hemorrhaging loyal customers of their highest end cards. They make quality products but for the most part a 1080ti is a 1080ti regardless of the name. That being said, I'm hoping that they do what they did for the icx upgrades, soon as it comes out you can reserve the step-up but it may be a few months before the supply evens out enough for you to get yours. That's how the terms read for the program, it's just a matter of when they add it to the program list. Initial supply shouldn't affect who can get it, just how long it takes.

Hey I have a few questions. So I just built a brand new PC about a week ago with the 1080 FTW. Tomorrow is pretty much the last day I can return it and I am highly leaning on doing that and just waiting on the Ti. The reason for this is and not sure exactly why, it said I could do a step-up with the FTW but now it has disappeared and it now says it is not eligible. Also, then I can choose which aftermarket card I want instead of having to step-up top the basic one and we have no idea when the step-up will be available. What do you guys think? Also, any news on the dimensions of this one/release date? Trying to figure out which aftermarket one to get and if this is early may then I may have to look at MSI or Asus. Also trying to find one that will fit my in my stand. I have about 294mm with the HDD slots in and over 400 with them out I believe. What is your guess on pricing of these as well?

Ugh, growing in the wrong directions. They need to lop off the card after the second fan for an 8"/203mm long card and reduce the height toward the reference full height spec. Also, is it so hard to recess the Mini-Fit Jr. connectors? There usually isn't much circuitry on the PCB below them (granted it would get a bit tighter with a shorter board), but it is either memory and PLL VRMs, choke, and circuitry on long cards or graphics memory on short cards below them, neither taking up the full height of the card.

I have been waiting for a 3 fan version. Many years ago I put a 3 fan attachment over a card. Can't remember the brand at that time. My card stayed cooler, and I did like the looks of it too. I'M all for it. They don't have to make every card with 3 fans. So those that still want the 2 fan cards can be happy too.

Step up is for reference boards. It is extremely unlikepy to see the FTW3 on the list. Founders, ACX/iCX, and evga blower models will likely be the only 3.

ipkha A,worthy upgrade to my 1080 FTW / FTW2 once my iCX upgrade gets in. I hope they offer a step-up option on this one. My EVGA bucks are ready.
Yeah, I just got my FTW2 iCX today and runs it great so far, but they better have an upgrade program for the 1080ti FTW3 after that thermal pad bs where I had to do their job for them, not to mention that with shipping and taxes included I have now paid about $836 (without shipping and taxes its still $780 or a bit more) for this 1080 FTW2 iCX. It better not cost me any more than the shipping to get the FTW2 back to them. If they don't do this right, next generation I'm probably just buying a f'n Titan direct from NVidia as soon as they are announced for pre-order.

Your post has been edited. Do not break the terms of service by abbreviating foul language all over your post. The icx card and ftw2 is an upgrade program, so your wish has already been granted. They have also stated numerous times that the cost of the ftw2's msrp before the price drop today is going to be put toward the cost of the step up program, so it may cost a few dollars but not much. Before you curse up a storm and make threats, take a few seconds to read through the posts and you will find that everything you said was already answered. Also, be careful buying from nvidia. Warranties dont transfer under their terms of service, so that affects resale value.
