I'm hoping for more info from the podcast at 3pm pacific time. I may step-up anyway if the folding performance is good.

Wish we could all get an exact date or something...so we can at least be ready for it. I know, for sure, it will sell out pretty quick just like the 1080 launch. I waited a month-over a month to get one card, and another 1-2 weeks for the 2nd card.

This is every single release, every time. Even when they give dates, they still sell out instantly. Hopefully we will have more info at the next live stream they do. If not, maybe on the 10th.

Should be able to.. we will see.. I would love to see evga just go ahead and move the ports to the end, and remove the need for the power link.. ot would be way smarter than an accessory to accomplish it.

I find it interesting how they call it the 1080ti ftw3. I mean, it's a 1080ti not a 1080, why add the 3 at the end? In a weird way, that gives me hope for a step up from the FTW2 to the FTW3?

yeah they should just call it GTX 1080 Ti FTW iCX. We know it's the new design already.

No, the ftw block is not compatible with ICX cards. The gpu core and vram placement may be slightly different as well.

I wonder what the length of it is to hold 3 fans That is exactly what I was going to ask. When I see some of the Gigabit's 3 fan humongous coolers I'm always was wondering how many people actually get them and than complain about them sagging, hehehe. I would never get anything beyond 11" even thou I have STH10 case. I like stock, rear exhaust coolers but I'm sure there are some that wont mind

tke899 I doubt this will be offered as a step up unfortunately.
What then would be the purpose of the "step up" program if they don't let people upgrade what they have purchased in the last 90 days? This program was created for the enthusiast consumer.

I suggest reading the step up page. Www.evga.com/support/stepup Step up is typically reserved for reference cards. That is the point of it. The ftw has only been on the step up list once so far, and that for the 970 sli bridge error correction.
