er557 Hi @Sajin, sorry to necro this thread but it seems applicable still, Have two 6183 KR in SLI (1080 SC acx 3.0), on stock clocks and stock settings in XOC. The bioses are updated for the pwm temp fan fix and the nvidia display port fix. I used to run them overclocked but sometimes in games it would reboot so I have set back to stock. They also boost fine but get quite hot up to max temp target, as my ventilation is not top notch. Would I have any benefit from crossflashing to 11gpbs bios, or to say zotac amp extreme for less power envelope restrictions, or even the asus strix unlocked patched bios with no limits? I rather stay on the safe side, but have seen guides here that prove those can work. What about my fans and their control, will it be compatible. Maybe I should avoid adventures altogether?
Have you tried flashing the bios? I have a 6183 KR and interested in trying the SC2 bios.

You should proceed vary carefully here, those kinds of things can be unsafe for the card, I haven't yet done it. You may find more usefull info and proof of conecpts in the googling of gtx 1080 owner's club, there is a very lengthy thread elsewhere and it includes evga cards as well.

Just did and now it’s it’s in low res mode. When I run it it says adapter then another screen briefly comes up then disappears.

Hello everyone! I try to flash my 1080 FTW2 DT with this bios... the utility runs, emits two beeps and closed. After reboot gpu-z shows old BIOS version and memory clock is 1251. Any ideas?

Try again, but this time shutdown your pc and uplug the power from the wall for 5 minutes then replug the system back into the wall, and start it up. See if that helps.

In that case you should just use nvflash to try and update the card. Here is the salve vbios for your card... https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191610/191610 Note: You'll need to use the -6 command when flashing. You'll also need to have the slave vbios selected before flashing.

Update: I flashed this in GTX1080 FTW2 DT ICX 08G-P4-6684-KR and 11 gbps memory works. But i see that GPU fan dont stop in idle use 31ºC (0db feature). VRM/Memory fan stops normally. I try EVGA.GTX1080.8192.170405 from techpowerup with nvflash64_patched_5.541.0 -6 parameter and now 11 gbps memory and 0db feature works fine.

You could try loading the 08G-P4-6687-KR vbios to your card, but might make it unstable due to the higher core clock it provides... https://www.techpowerup.c...ga-gtx1080-8192-170405

It's interesting to know there is a BIOS update for the aging 1080 FTW2 and SC2 I hope EVGA releases a last and final optional BIOS update for the 1080 Ti FTW3 series.

It’s best to refer back to post 1. This BIOS is almost a full 3 years old now. This was done when the cards were still “relevant” and hadn’t gone EOL. It is unlikely that many manufacturers will update the bios’ that are available after such a long time.

Yes, I guess the recent post made me assume it was a new bios release. The 10 series cards are done with. I have the very last bios update from EVGA on both my 1080 Ti's FTW3. NVIDIA driver updates is all I can look forward to now.
