Leyaena ...wait On Friday they officially announced they'd be releasing the blocks this morning, but now it's suddenly 2 more weeks? If the block needed 2 more weeks before being ready for release, wouldn't they have already known that last week anyway? It seems incredibly silly to me that they would make a public statement saying the blocks will be ready today a couple of days ago, to now suddenly ask for 2 more full weeks. I've got a build that's literally dead in the water until I get 2 of these blocks in. All of the hardware has arrived, all it's waiting for is the waterblocks to arrive... I'm doing acrylic tubing, so without these blocks I can't even start prepping the rest of the build already. I'm really getting very frustrated :(
The message above is from February 3rd...
... talking as if we could order that block today... Sorry but that reliability got lost over the past three months and trust has to be earned. We will see although I doubt that block will appear in the shop today. All I can do is point at my post earlier today in this thread -> "clear and faithful words and no more vague statements". All I can see here is another vague defensive statement without any faithful content on WHEN or even WHY (exactly). Hint: you just missed the chance on releasing a lot of customers wasting their time by killing their "F5" key. (It's called marketing as long as they F5 a single page they won't have the time to spend more money elsewhere for other products on your web shop)
Someone with some sense. The delays are one thing, not a good thing, but lying isn't going to help anyone. Or being so non-transparent. Some of us are wasting our time F5ing to try to get one when we were told it would be available. An actual honest statement would have been appreciated. A lot of time wasted just to place an order... and so much for it arriving by Friday!

Some other 980 brand blocks were sold out for some time, if this is as popular as those brands.

EK knows how popular the classified cards are and will produce accordingly. If I don't snag a block today I'm putting mine on dice and saying the hell with it

They've got three more hours PST to remain true to their word. Shady, sure. Certainly not doing their customers or themselves any favors here. The bp pre-order is looking more tempting.

If you email Bitspower, they offer a pre-order for the 980 classy water block coming out at the end of this month. They offered me a bare copper version if I pre-ordered, for anyone interested.

When they do actually show up............where are you going to buy them? I checked PPC (and Sidewinder pfffft) for Ek CPU blocks and they are out of stock for pretty much any block I was interested in............well that I know of because IMO their website is pretty much frustrating and worthless to navigate. So assuming they get them..........from what I can see from the small sample of people who want them here (understanding that some are outside the US) Unless PPC gets a boat load of the blocks you better be fast on the keys to order any. The next GPU form factor will be out by the time most of us receive the option to purchase any!!

Ek_Luc, Please see if they will start including these with the EK PLexi blocks. The Plexi terminal would be a much better fit with the plexi block rather than an acetal terminal. Maybe charge an extra $5 on top, and just include it in the package? Other than that, I love the new block and like that the VRM at the "bottom" of the card FINALLY has something contacting it for heat dissipation, unlike the 780 Classy blocks.

GTX980Ti not exist, GM204 is full unlocked present as GTX980. NVIDIA will launch GM200 as Titan successor and same chip later with less memory maybe for lower price. GTX780 was not full chip, almost 600 CUDA was locked, because of that GTX780Ti show up. I'm curious for price of Titan X. I prepared money for X99, only Rampage 5 Black to show up, but EK Monoblock maybe even force me to choose normal version. For processor I will try to find 5960X for half price or 5820K. I could find for 600e now, sealed but that's too much for me because I don't need that processor, but if show up for 500-550e than really no matter how OC and I will choose that and later only stay graphic to change.

People are impatient. Block is finished, you saw pictures, few days more or less never mind. I don't know why they look every single day and count how many days pass.

For me, it's because I've been looking forward to doing this build for quite a while now, and these blocks are the last thing I need in order to be able to start on it. I'm doing acrylic tubing, so I need everything in its final place before I'm able to get definitive measurements on the bends I need. There's GPU-only blocks on my Classy's now, but if possible I'd rather not have to put them in like this and end up having to redo the tubing when the blocks finally arrive...

That's flaw of all custom cards, water blocks are never ready on time. For reference board soon after launched most manufacturer are ready.
