Just a heads up.. Make sure you get ek backplate rev 2 , the normal ek 780 backplate will not work with the Kingpin, but the blocks do...

I think Jacob said the first batch was ready to go out once ordered. Thereafter it will be "built to order".

It isn't build to order. Whoever told you that is full of crap. It is produced on an assembly line just like any other card.

The BTO is after the initial stock sells out, so as of an hour ago it was <30 left at EVGA.com

I will be using it on air (at least initially, until I get the courage to put water in my case haha) I'll let you know how it goes

Hence the choice for BTO after the first batch is out. IMO majority of the buyers will be those who bench an those who just "want" it because it's the latest and greatest. Also, the release is so close to the rumored Titan BE and 790. I want it, but I also have x2 780 classifieds I should sell first.

I'll just throw this in the air, but OOS by the end of the month is what I'm thinking considering the limited stock.

I believe they had over 100 plus at launch this morning, last time I checked was 2 hours ago with less then 30 left before the 4 per household limit was implemented.

I wonder if the new ACX cooler is better. my Ti classified is pretty much maxed out with air. 85 degrees @ 1345Mhz. I can go higher still but the temperatures get too hard and the card throttles. (firestrike extreme score is 6001)
