Is it possible for me to buy a couple of these living in the uk?

It was possible about an hour ago (13:13 GMT) when I was refreshing the page, but they only remained in stock for around 5 minutes before being completely sold out.

This is the most dollar hungry marketing ploy from Evga Ive ever seen.
 
$700+ for a video card=disappointing to say the least.

Grats RJ, they should really push teh fold forward :) Although, even oc'd they wont beat a 580SC and a 560 Ti together, and as esentially they use a x16 lane, then youd ont really save a lane (or atleast I wouldnt on my rampage 3) as you'd need to leave the slot below open. Granted f@h doesnt use x16 but surely you'll do atleast a tiny bit of gaming on them at some point? ;)

I think that everyone here needs to take a little break from their love-fest and look at the data.
 
Unless EVGA is marketing overclocked versions of the GTX 590, the card in it's stock form, on air has no better performance than two GTX 570s in SLi.
I would consider that pretty weak sauce for 1700 dollars, even if you do get a fancied up box.
Please consider that there are much better alternatives out already for much lower prices and better performance.

It's sad when the star of the video is the box and the swag......
85 FPS in the watered down console port Crysis 2.....the XBox 360 can do that.
 
This is just not worth the money, I wish it wasn't so, but this product just doesn't live up to the hype.

Actually my 3x 580SCs would go to mainly folding and backup for gaming, they just take up too much room and create a lot of heat for the main rig. The 590s will be my main rig and gaming with folding only on special occasions.

Congratz RJ.  I'm getting really tempted here to use my tax return right back into these bad boys...but I have an extra back plate and high flow bracket for another 580...DAMN you EVGA, you're giving me too many choices...  BTW, where's that twin fan card that they showed off at CES?  The three fan was the 460 2WIN...

Two cards with two cores in SLI = Quad SLI.  Sorry, no 6-way SLI.

It is a Dual GPU Card... therefore 2 cards linked together would give you Quad SLI.

Omg! This reveal makes up for the lack of a EVGA P67 release. I want this video card more than a new rig. Must have it badly. Also this would force me to buy a new PSU if I had the cash to get the 590.

The reviews I have read do not include the 590 overclocked, I did quickly glance at Anandtech's review and they had OCd the 590, but it was still beaten down by a variety of other cards/combos.

If you are looking for performance, stock card versus stock card, 580 SLi has the 590 beat hands down, but costs nearly 300 dollars more.  Overclocked, the 590 may be close?
In stock form the 590 compares more to 570 GTX in SLi.
In most reviews, the AMD 6990 wacks the 590 pretty good, costs the same or less and has a much lower power window. Plus it also is over-clockable.
 
It all comes down to cost, brand loyalty, and motherboard room.
 
I'm sticking with my 580 GTX in SLi, this card has nothing special in it for me.

Okay,  I don't normally like to use military terminology when not talking about the military but, this is the purest definition of SHOCK and AWE!  Everything down to the packaging is spectacular.  With what the reviews are saying about the fan noise and power usage, and Evga's propensity for providing utilities and headroom for OC'ing.  I have no doubt that once you CRANK THAT $H1T UP it will be the single card king in most to all benches. 
To top off this amazing offering we get a water cooled version!?!  Since I have 2 580 HC's I know the fit and finish as well as the cooling capabilities, this option should allow for finding the max oc without reaching thermal issues.

I'm drooling over these cards...but the price wipes up my drool and wipes my mouth clean cuz damn.  I got one 580 HC and would love to step up to the 590HC if they would put it on the step up lis that would be AWESOME!!!  or atleast lower the price for the 580 HC.....because I'm about one click from getting another 580 HC...i miss overclocking my system!!!  PUT IT ON THE STEP UP LIST!!! I want the new s***!!!!
