...and the bidding starts at $699 US. If they sell like hotcakes price will increase by $40. Ever since the Ultras it's the same ole song and dance. And i'll probably be in line :P

WOW! That is way cool! Now we know that officially the gtx480 will have 1.5 gig of memory, is that new info? Just what I needed, another reason to be impatient for the Mar. 26 launch date. :)

dakon Is there seriously some reason nvidia is not releasing any details? Yes there is. Companies don't just keep secrets like little girls at sleepovers, they are in business to make money and always run the risk of competition taking advantages (in otherwords us potential customers aren't the only ones paying close attention to any [leaked] details.) Especially since AMD has a major foothold, the last thing nVidia needs is more distance.

this is the reason why i wasn't tempted with ATI even if they released those 5000 series a few months ago. nvidia really delivers satisfaction with me as a consumer. wish i could have funds to buy at launch date but i'm afraid it won't come in so i'd be better be waiting for a few months before i could finally have one.

That's quite cool... After all, EVGA is one of those "favorite" candidates for the new Fermi cards, and it's no surprise that I think they are going to be the first to release such kinds of these cards...

Hmm nice box arts also very professional looks no over fancied arts like MSI or ASUS would do, the 480 is nice with the blue line in it, I wonder how the Red Editions would look like if they'd come hehe.

Many of you seem to be a bit confused about the box backgrounds. Both the 470 and 480 backgrounds are the same. The camera flash reflected more on the 470 than the 480 box when photographed. The boxes look to be designed with a glossy clear varnish plate to show those radial sander highlights.
