Made a little open source tool since theres been a few update.exe for RTX30XX cards and you dont know what your getting since they are all named the same.

Updated so you can patch in any rom you want into it so no messing around with command line using nvflash.
And all current EVGA 3080 and 3090 bioses are stored with in bios folder.

Editing is not an issue. Signing is. Maxwell and later cards require signed BIOSes to work.

Another tool to go alone with it.
When you flash a bios of another vender such as KFA2 390W bios then PX1 wont control your RGB anymore since it doesnt trigger EVGA = true when loading up since your device id isnt in the database.
You can fix this by adding that bios device id to the GpuInfo.bin database for the card you want PX1 to identify it as.

Yeah but you didn't mention the library.dll issue.  Sure, you can somehow crack that and include a copy, but what about next week when EVGA comes out with a new PX1 version?  Wouldn't that require a new hacked library.dll as well?  And then there's the 100lb guerrilla in the room..  what if this new PX1 version updates firmware?  Would being on a KFA2 bios, hacked to show it is an EVGA, trigger the auto-update?  And if so, would that mesh well with a KFA2 bios without bricking the card?

Library.dll only changes with each gen.
Current versions time stamp is sep 2020 and version before that is time stamped sep 2018, So we can expect next version will be with 4XXX series cards.
Firmware is completely independent of bios. It works with a unmodded PX1 on a bios thats not detected as EVGA anyway since PX1 connects to the MCU chip on connection.
Then it checks C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1\Library\Firmware\ folder to see if there is a newer version of the firmware then what the connection requests reported.
If there is it runs C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1\Library\FirmwareUpdate.exe

Thank you. So, what was introduced in Pascal is still a lingering issue. All good, thought I should check to see if there has been progress since. I used to enjoy customizing my BIOS back in Maxwell days.
