Great videos thanks. I can see the advantage of having hybrid in sustained OC over time but FPS again is not significant. I think I will get the FTW edition and call it a day.

The picture showed two eight pin connectors if I'm not mistaken, but I may be remembering the Hydro pictured next to it.

Yeah, that at least suggests FTW PCB, would even more like Classified PCB though (srsly, who woulnd't) - but I'll guess it just will be FTW PCB... :(
 
Just glad that it isn't reference like the 970 Hybrid was.

I want to know how much the Hybrid gonna cost.

Worth every penny. Hopefully not more than $100 over reference. I know $100 is a lot of money, but it is SO worth it for the Hybrid cooler. Best GPU I've ever owned. I love the Gamers Nexus Franken-Hybrid 1080 project! Tempted to try it on my 980 Ti Hybrid kit, I don't care how ugly it looks haha. Impressed more and more with the 1080 the more I read about it vs the 980 Ti and may just grab one. I hate that I love technology so much.

Is the 1080 Hybrid PCB the same as the FTW?...my eyes seem to indicate this. Definitely not reference and definitely not Classified.

- Different pump design from the previous hybrids 
- Quick release for the tube, could be integrated into an expandable water cooling system

Agreed! EVGA teased their AIO cooler already with the new case and I am sure that you can add stuff to the loop.

I looked briefly at the MSI Seahawk but that has only 1 8 pin power connector, so that's out.

Are you sure that's a quick release? Looks more like a blue LED ring around the tubing to me.

deff looks like a quick release to me even saved the image to zoom in and you can see a shadow between the 2 pieces i might buy one if they are going this route making the systems expandable

Are you sure that's a quick release? Looks more like a blue LED ring around the tubing to me.




and why the hell would you have only 1 LED ring and not two and why is it also so big in comparison vs other tube? If thats not a quick release, its a stupid design idea
