i can get both sides. it would be cool if evga would have said hey, all you guys on this thread. let us DM you a special code to pre order before it goes live for all. and hey, let us throw in a HB bridge for people ordering 2, since we charged a ridiculous amount for shipping. but thats just wishful thinking. im sure they are not as put together as they seem from the outside. who knows, they could all be running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to get these into stores and peoples hands. like my grandma use to say, dont cry over spilled AIO coolant. stuff happens, we missed out. im sure we all have high end systems to begin with. we will be ok. i have to sit back and think thats its dumb that i am mad that i couldn't buy $1500 in graphics cards.

Iluv2raceit What exactly is EVGA supposed to do? Ordering a 1080 period is all about luck and nothing more. Supply is so scarce no thanks to the horrible efficiency of the TSMC in Taiwan combined with not so nice weather in the Pacific region, there just aren't enough 1080 cards being produced. It's really not the fault of EVGA. Those who were lucky enough to grab one before they sold out were just plain lucky. With several hundred (or more) people logged into the website when the pre-orders went live, it was a matter of who could click fast enough. Most people were getting script errors because the stock had probably ran out before the checkout to cart could be completed. This has happened not only with EVGA, but with the Amazon and Newegg websites as well. I remember fighting this same exact battle last year when the GTX980Ti SC+ cards showed up in stock on EVGA's website. The checkout process was glitchy I admit, but I managed to snag two cards before they sold out. This time around, it was a different issue regarding the checkout script itself. I was able to figure it out quickly and still probably had some luck involved with just that issue alone, but was able to snag a GTX1080 FTW Hybrid card for pre-order.
Shortages is a different issue entirely. This is not my first rodeo either with participating in the mob of trying to get new cards, I know exactly how they work. In the past, I have never seen this error on EVGA, you get the out of stock page or the page does not load at all, this was not the case this time. Similar for newegg and amazon which is different entirely. All I'm saying is they should at least address it, apologize, say they're aware of it, looking into it, fixing it, SOMETHING, to prevent this from happening to anyone else. if the site was just overloaded and they can confirm this caused the error, then I want to hear it from EVGA themselves, not from outside speculation.

This. I highly doubt they were out of stock when I received this error. I received the notification email and instantly pressed the preorder button and information. I had the time to do it about 10 times, on multiple browser, before it changed from ''pre-order'' back to ''auto-notify'', and constantly received the same error every time. I understand that many things can go wrong, I'd just like to know if they'll fix this for next time they get some stock. After waiting such a long time for them to get some stocks, it's quite a downer to be stopped from ordering because of such a stupid web problem on their part. It actually chilled me a bit in my enthusiasm... might decide to wait for the 1080ti and look at the competition, if this is the kind of thing we can expect from EVGA. It sucks because I usually really like their customer service. If at least they would explain what happened...

Not sure how it went for everyone else, but I wonder if because I wasn't logged in, if I avoided the error.
I hit refresh, saw pre-order, clicked > Check Out > Log in screen > shipping address (check box if same as billing, had yes) > next screen was agreement, automatic sign charge, shipping options > confirm billing address > credit card info > done.
The process was pretty smooth. If me not being signed it avoided the error, glad I was on my work PC not at home.

Apparently the 10 Series' FTW Hybrids light up with RGB, but it's unclear in what areas as there isn't a single screenshot/video that features this. Could someone add at least a photograph to their product pages?

Am I mis-understanding... or are the TWO versions of 10 series hybrid cards? There is the 1080 hybrid on EVGA Product page, are you saying there is going to be a FTW Hybrid as well?

According to the US site, there are two FTW Hybrid cards independent of the "1080 Gaming" card (which has no radiator), both presumably with RGB lighting.

Update about my personal experience of first-build: I waited so long to get an Hybrid that I spent 2 month without a gpu (so without gaming as it is intended). Finally I chose to end the wait and went with a Zotac Amp Extreme, actually now I can say to be very happy for this choice: Hybrid is not in-stock yet and air cooling is not that bad (under load gpu temps are always under 75 Celsius degrees). Hope you guys can get the card you really hope to spend your money on. For now, goodbye Evga! I hope to be able to get a card from your store in future, when your supplies hopefully will get up to demand.
(PS. Sorry for bad englando)

The Hybrid is built on the FTW board. Later there is supposed to be a Hybrid with the quick disconnect (but same card otherwise). Neither of these should be confused with the kit for the reference PCB.

Andzx Will the EVGA $119 HYBRID Water Cooler (All in One) for GTX 1080 and 1070 work on all 1080 FE's? How difficult is the install? It just says supports all current blower style cards...
All FE's are exactly the same as far as hardware. They are just boxed by the respective company and the only difference is then the support and warranty. Not hard to install. I did it on my Titan. 30 minutes if you take your time. was well worth it.

You will not regret, other coolers can't keep card so cool as Hybrid. I don't know what you wait.

Not a hard install just be sure to have the proper tool to remove those nuts on the PCB under the backplate. Nobody warned me and I had to use a wrench on my $800 GPU. Took me like two hours to install the kit. You'll want something like this: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/hex-socket-4mm

I tried to preorder on the EU site when logged out and was shown the same error message (error 17) as others have reported previously. When logged in I just get thrown back to the shopping cart when trying to confirm billing address.

Just white that im aware of. As for temps on really hot humid 29c day max 56c. This morning cool at was at around 50c will be even cooler when summer over. This is with 2050 oc core voltage +100 and clocks are stable due to keeping temps down. On stock cooler stock speed i was hitting around 81c with fan 80% and my computer was a space heater with 2 of these. Great for winter not so much in summer. silix so for ppl who are not going to oc which u think are better the class or hybrid? or atleast not going to oc for now mb in future
Both have same specs in terms of boost the hybrid is much better option IMO. Its quite and card will run much cooler.

Pre-order attempt still goes back to the basket after confirming shipping address. Can't even get through to payment, what's going on? I've even got one pre-ordered on overclockers (at a pre-brexit price too, £689) but I'll pay the £30 extra if EVGA can get it to me before 2017... Why can't there even be a generous ETA? Even if they said something ridiculous like october (which is my personal estimate for when I'll actually have one) I'd sleep a bit easier.

GTX1080 with Hybrid kits are nicer than Founders Edition. Only I don't like that SLI Bridge... Personally for me is ROG SLI Bridge nicest. Classic and clean. It would be nicer without logo... But NVIDIA is terrible.

I wait first to see Radeon performance... cards will not escape. Hybrid is not even available in Europe. There are 10-20% chance to AMD launch 20% stronger Vega than GTX1080 for around 800euro. Than we will see how NVIDIA will react, I hope they will not win only in most expensive segment for 1200$. That would be bad if NVIDIA win in most expensive segment and AMD offer better performance for same price as GTX1080.

Seriously though, can we get a comment by an EVGA representative? The presale went through in EU and people still got the same error....
I think I'll wait for the 1080ti Hybrid now, after this fiasco. But I'd still like to know what's up and if I can expect to be facing the same error when the time comes to preorder a 1080ti Hybrid, a while from now. Sadly, I'll just have to look elsewhere if they can't bother to give us an explanation...

i'm pretty positive that's not supposed to be happening. i would get in contact with an EVGA tech ASAP and get things situated. it looks like they have the Hybrid kits in stock, so sending u a new unit shouldn't be a problem.
