obbadosa I bought gtx 980 ti hybrid. But I suffered from pump noise. Finally I sold the card. I hope you used different pump in gtx 1080 hybrid.
I have an EVGA GTX980Ti Hybrid (1st gen, before the redesign) in my secondary mini-ITX gaming rig and I can't hear any pump noise. Sorry that you got a lemon. There are others that also had this issue. Hopefully, EVGA has worked with Asutek to redesign the pump for less noise generation ;-)

I had a Gigabyte G1 980ti and it was loud and hot. Basically swapped it for a 980 ti hybrid and I doubt I will ever go back to a non hybrid card again. I ended up going hybrid sli but I'm just not a fan of sli. Sold one and have a solid offer for the other. Cards never went above 48c solo. In sli the top card went to 54c but thats Witcher 3 @ 4k/60+ fps, and zero noise. I swapped the stock fan out with gentle typhoons and put it in a push/pull config. Lovely cards.
I'm awaiting this 1080 hybrid.

Im with you there. After I got the Fury X in my pc and it showed the temps on idle and in my case I didnt want to get back to a non aio solution either. So its either 1080 hybrid,980ti hybrid or Fury X for me. I dont think I can get back to air gpu's either.

So, I have an H115i cooling my 6700k and I have the Corsair 760d case. I'm wondering where I should put the radiator for the 1080 hybrid (providing I'm lucky enough to snag one and don't go with the FTW or Classified). I have my h115i radiator up top and it's working great, but there isn't any room for another rad up there and I doubt the tubes would reach anyway. I don't know if they'll reach to the front either, which pretty much leaves me with the back exhaust fan and the base of the case which has a fan slot. I was thinking the back of the case wouldn't be too bad a of a deal; I could set it up as an exhaust and since I have liquid cooling for my CPU + two 140mm fans on the front my ambient temps in the case shouldn't get that hot. Thoughts?

I did the excact same setup with my fury X. to put the radiator for the gpu as rear. Im gonna do the same with the 1080 hybrid. But I do have plans on buying a 900d so I can put up the h100i + hybrid on top.

So you put the rad for the fury on the back of your case as an exhaust? It worked out alright temperature wise? EDIT: oops, I saw your edit after I posted mine. You said you put it on the back of your case. Did you do an extra fan for push/pull, or just the fan it came with on the rad? How were temps?

I think you should be fine putting it at the back. Your temps are not going to get that high in the case with your CPU and GPU liquid cooled. The two intake fans will be more than enough to keep the rest of the components cool.

No problem. Now all we need is for EVGA to give us our Hybrids.

I think I will not back on Air GPU as well. I would like if EVGA in future start to produce Classified with AIO Liquid Cooler. On beginning when CORSAIR and Antec show up with their AIO systems no one pay attention but it was obvious that AIO Liquid Coolers for CPU are future. For 70% of people that was stupid investment and Noctua or Megahalem were better. But H50 and H70 promised... They pushed hot air out of case and people had more space for easier installation other hardware, cleaning PC, cable management, Case interior look better and they change faster thermal paste. Same is with GPU and I think if not this than next year EVGA should present first Classified AIO cooler with PCB capable for installation and waterblocks or at least two version of Classified, Air and Hydro Classified. Than we will back on our place with advantages of AIO systems. Until than people who can't afford custom loop better to choose Hybrid. I can't even afford Predator, because he could mean difference between GTX1080 and GTX1080Ti and than I always choose better hardware but I would like Classified on Predator or Swiftech more than Hybrid same as Hydro Copper.

ye,the fan on the fury x rad was set as exhaust I think so it blew out. My case had very low temp overall. I had temps varying from 23-27 c in my case. even the fury X was around 23-25 c which is insane low at idle. under load i belive they were around 40-43c,maybe less. I also changed out the the default fans that was with the h100i with 2 pwm noiseblocker fans. none of my fans are push/pull I belive.

Hopefully they see exactly how many people want a hybrid and are making sure they have plenty of stock?
I hope so too. It would suck if they only had a handful of units on launch. The size of this thread should be a pretty good indication of how many people are interested in their product.

An important question I too would like answered. Even more would they also make a version for the Founder's Edition? I know right now you can frankenstein mod the HYBRID Water Cooler (All in One) for GTX 980 Ti (P/N: 400-HY-0996-B1) and it works extremely well as Gamers Nexus already proved this. Look up "Building a GTX 1080 Hybrid" on YouTube. Edit: I was actually able to snag a 1080 FE from one of the largest web shops here in northern Europe. 100's of GTX 1080 FE were sold in mere hours. Yesterday 100's of Zotac cards were sold in a few hours too. These sells faster than warm bread!

AIO info from EVGA Live Podcast at 3PM PDT 24 June https://www.twitch.tv/teamevga/v/74326020 At 13:55 of the EVGA Live Podcast (paraphrased) Chat Question: Will there be an AIO Kit for the 1080 FTW? Answer from Jacob: Actually, for our hybrid skus, which we call the AIO coolers, we will have both FTW (PCB Height: 5.064in - 128.631mm, Length: 10.5in - 266.7mm), and Founders edition sizes (PCB Height: 4.376in - 111.15mm, Length: 10.5in - 266.7mm), so you can choose whatever you like. At 30:25: 1080 Hybrid will be the same PCB as the FTW At 30:35: We'll be doing Hybrid kits for the reference PCBs as well on the Superclocked and ACX 3.0 and Founders Edition. Me: Unless I've misinterpreted, this shows that EVGA will be offering separate AIO cooler SKUs that will fit either the reference size PCB or the EVGA custom PCB.

Was there any news on an ETA for the actual Hybrid 1080? Early/mid July?

trilegdog Basically the same response when asking about info on the AIO add-on kits & compatibility. https://twitter.com/EVGA_...Hk%3D&refsrc=email It would be nice to know basic AIO compatibility info for choosing AIB or Basic (5180/6180) card on step-up.
Both should be able to work fine.
Hi, Jacob! Thanks for taking the time to answer! EVGA's customer service is the industry's best. I could have better phrased my previous question, so I'll try once more. Will EVGA be offering a separate AIO cooling set-up that is compatible with models that come with the ACX 3.0 cooler, or only with the HSF cooler models? Thanks
We plan to have 2 versions. One that will cover 1080 FE, SC, ACX and blower. Another version that will cover FTW
