In the grand scheme of things, this is a very minor annoyance..  But an annoyance nonetheless..

I have an ASUS TUF B365m plus MB with a RTX 3060ti and a dual monitor setup..  The Primary Display is a 27" ACER with DB15 and HDMI ports.  the Secondary Display is a 24" Dell  with DB15 and DVI hookups..

I have the ACER hooked to the RTX with an HDMI cord and the Dell is hooked to the RTX with a DVI<->DisplayPort Adapter..

At boot up, the TUF graphic and (when accessed) the BIOS is displayed on the Secondary Display..

I have tried swapping the hook-ups around but the BOOT/BIOS is always displayed on the Secondary Display..

I probably could simply turn off the Dell Monitor if I want to do BIOS work, but I was hoping there is a way to fix this..

Any assistance would be most appreciated..

My Asrock mobo has a "press TAB to switch screen" as part of the POST screen control options in the bottom right. Maybe see if yours has a similar control?

I'm pretty sure their is nothing you can do cause it will always default to hdmi first if their is a connection. It's like hardwired that way in the video card bios.

Intel i9 9900K @ 5.2Ghz Single HUGE Custom Water Loop.

DP has priority on evga 30 series cards. To correct the issue you need a converter that would allow you to connect your hdmi input on your primary monitor to the dp output on your gpu. Output priority on the evga 30 series cards is as follows...

Other possible solutions: Use another aib partners vbios on your card that gives hdmi priority over dp, see if evga can give you a vbios that changes the priority around to hdmi instead of dp, buy a new monitor that has dp inputs, or buy a different video card that gives hdmi priority first over dp.

Thanx to both for your answers..

Yea, the PRIMARY display only has HDMI...

So, in theory, I could use a HDMI <-> DP adapter and plug that into slot #1..

That might work... I'll check it and get back to ya'all..

Thanx again...

Nope.. Didn't work..

I have the PRIMARY display plugged into #1 and the SECONDARY into #2 and then #3...

Each time the BOOT display was on the SECONDARY monitor....

I tried the PRIMARY display cord in each of the slots..  #1, #2 and #3...  Each time, the BOOT displayed on the SECONDARY monitor..

I even shut off power to the SECONDARY monitor...  Then there was NO display until I turned it back on..

I am guessing it's something that I just have to live with.. If that's the worse thing that happens to me today, I guess I'll be in good shape..  :D
