N3TK1LLAI wish eVGA would make memory. That being said, I was able to secure DDR5 5600Mhz (non-rgb) ram from corsair directly. It's available right now too, not sure if it would go with your planned build or not. Ships out of Taiwan directly.
EmparusI wish Evga would start a queue for DDR5 to go with the z690 boards. The scalper pest has a firm grip on supplies.
Emparus Thank you I was looking at the trident Z5 and nothing was available. Which ones did you get?
N3TK1LLAEmparus Thank you I was looking at the trident Z5 and nothing was available. Which ones did you get?Ended up going with the Corsair Vengeance 5600Mhz C36 2x16GB kit x2 which might end up being a blessing in disguise. Low profile ram, no rgb (meaning no software to control it - first evga board so not sure if they're able to control the coloring on ram sticks with their software or not). Probably will end up selling the ram down the road when memory and better timings become available (if ever lol). Only concern now is the whole 4 dimms populated situation where I might have to tweak the ram overclock instead of using the default xmp profile.
rjbarker 4 DIMM Slots n 64G has required getting clock speeds well below XMP....SPD if your lucky, perhaps Classy will handle all slots populate but I doubt it will be any better than Apex / Extreme......Better off to wait until 2*32G are available if you must have 64G RAM.... Dominatar w Samsung kits (5600 c 36) or Dominator with Hynix (6200 c 36 / 6400 c38) have been the best kits for Z690 so far.....GSkill has been hit n miss....So far iuts looking like Hynix Memory being the best....followed by Samsung (not all).....for example some Samsung on GSkill not so grand....but Samsung on Dominator 5600 kit excellent.....Micron on Dominator (pre 5600 kits) not great.iCue wouldnt recognize my Dominator kit unless I tweaked a few settings in BIOS...granted Im on an Apex Board. If anyone can get there mitts on Dominator 5600 C36 (easily OC's to 6000 c36), 6200 c 36 or 6400 c38 (both the latter are Hynix), I would recomend those.
Emparus I got the same to get going. Looks like there isn't much difference in the moment in the 4800-6400 range in app tests anyway.

BraegnokI have been running benchmarks with DDR5-6000MHz CL36 vs DDR5-4800MHz CL30. DDR5-4800MHz CL30 @ 1.10V does vary well for daily usage, will overclock if you want to run higher MHz profiles DDR5 memory performance scaling with Alder Lake Core i9-12900K: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/ddr5-memory-performance-scaling/ PCMARK10 @ 4800MHz CL30: http://www.3dmark.com/pcm10b/1363247 Save your money, buy 4800MHz kit you will be fine for daily usage.

donta1979It's why I went with a MSI MPG Z690 Edge DDR4 board to go with my i9 12900KF. Even none scalper prices of DDR5's first gen are criminal, then the larger capacity with faster speeds are coming out later. But yeah the scalper prices are horrible adding insult to injury.
