I bought them on the egg, https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007611%20601396890%20601397864

I bought the non-RGB Black, they are sold out,.. but egg still has the black or silver RGB

I used the day saver shipping, received in two days.

Thanks!  Guess I didn't look very hard.  Thanks for the link.

Silver RGB on order, should get here Monday.

Just got my Dom Plat 6200 c36 kit today except my loop is torn apart due to a dead pump. Replacement should get here tomorrow and get 1101 installed and see where things go.

Also have a kit of the G.Skill 6000 C36. CPUZ wasn't providing the DRAM manufacturer, but I was under the impression G.Skill was Samsung. Are they also using Hynix on some of their kits?

Asus just made BIOS 1101 official so you will want to use the 01/28/2022 release version from support site vs the beta version. https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z690-apex-model/helpdesk_bios

Seems they made some adjustments prier to release, as my system would not boot into Windows, was hanging on error 55,.. needed to make adjustments to boot Windows. Than would fail memtest, Karu without more adjustments with beta 1101.

I loaded official 1101 this morning, booted Windows in XMP first try, haven't tested yet but voltages are different in Auto now with official version.

If your not planning on removing factory heat shields and water cooling, the stock Corsair Dominator kits are much better than the G.SKILL kits,..

G.SKILL went cheep with low voltage PMIC, no thermal pad on PMIC,.. they run warm in XMP 30c with light load @ 1.43V.

Thanks for the link.  I bought a set of EK Monarch heatspreaders to put on whatever kit OCs better on air.   Sounds like it may be worthwhile stripping the stock heatsinks to test both.  Eventually want to put them into the loop, but still looking for an EK X2 to include them in the loop.  Don't think they make the X2s anymore.

Will do rj,

igor'sLAB looks at Corsair Dominator DDR5 5600 CL36 2x16 kit, the PCB teardown shows the thermal pads on both sides of PMIC.
https://www.igorslab.de/en/colourful-dawn-of-a-new-era-corsair-dominator-platinum-rgb-ddr5-5600-cl36-2x-16-gb-kit-test-with-oc-and-teardown/

Corsair Dominator 6200 kit Tech Specs shows PMIC Type: Extreme OC PMIC.

G.SKILL 6400 kit heatshields removed shows no thermal pads on PMIC.

G.SKILL 6400 kit HWiNFO64 memory info shows PMIC Type: Small PMIC (Low Current), Memory Controller Voltage Level: 1.10 V

There is not much OC headroom on the G.SKILL 6400 kit if you want to run tight timings and CR1 due to voltages needed for stability,.. temps during testing exceed 50c vary quickly without active cooling.

I'm not thrilled about G.SKILL using small low current PMIC with no thermal pads, with MC voltage level of 1.10 V,.. seems they could have done better.

I haven't received my Corsair Dominator 6200 kit yet, but from what I'm seeing the Corsair Dominator kits look vary well built, most likely will OC with lower temps vs the G.SKILL kits.

Was it from Corsair directly? It’s been out of stock for days so it wasn’t going to process anyway. Must’ve had it in your cart for close to a week if you were even able to add it lol

Newegg has the Hynix Team Delta RGB modules which have a thermal pad on the PMIC now if anybody was up for spending a bit.

Nope, I can't order from Corsair due to living in Australia (unless I use a drop-ship agent). I have (in the last few minutes) managed to order a kit of Dominator 6200 for the same price and should have 'em here tomorrow.

My Corsair 6200 sticks left Taiwan and then sat in Japan for 5 days.. finally they've started moving again - now in Alaska. I wonder if that was some sort of Covid-related quarantine thing.

Maybe just the routing....as my previous Corsair Doms 5600 kit same thing...Taiwan - Japan - Anchorage Alaska - then all the way to US Eastern (think Virginia) then back to Vancouver Canada.....too bad they couldnt go straight from Anchorage to Van ;) FEDEX was good though, they actually arrived at my house a few days earlier than tracker had stated!

I have a feeling we were smart to grab this kit when they were available....could be a good score and availability maybe tough...although I see them on Newegg Canada site are available at about the same price...maybe a tad more.

We should get some decent feedback from Braegnok....the GSkill kits are a bit cheaper for sure, but these could prove a winner....I've always had great performance and no disappointments....reliability w Dominators.

The difficulty finding DDR5 for near MSRP is a big reason I am holding off upgrading for a bit. It kind of seems like the best bang for the buck is to put the extra markup cost of DDR5 into a better DDR4 based build right now. Of course this is based on availability that can change rapidly. I would recommend seeing what you can find in stock before deciding the upgrade path that you will be happiest with.

You can stop waiting.. see post from a few hours back:
Available right now on Corsair.com 2x16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 6200MHz C36 (link)
..still available right now (booked, so very soon).

I have this kit running perfectly at XMP on my ASUS z690 APEX. GET it!!

Hey there mate, erm, how exactly did You manage to run 6200 MHz CL36 Corsair on Apex? I have 1003, I was running 6000 MHz CL36 G.Skill just fine, also 5600 MHz CL36 Corsair just fine, I tested the 6200 MHz CL36 with "auto" settings, passed 4x, now I'm trying to XMP I. and XMP II. but to no avail, I have tons of errors on both.

I'm running 12900K in socket. What BiOS/UEFi do You use?

Memory training is really inconsistent in gear 2 (same on rocket lake).  Do you sometimes get runs without problems?  I just got a kit of the 6400c32 gskill but besides running XMP II in ff14 bench just fine I've not done much with them.  Generally don't stress test the mem unless I'm building a daily system so can't really say anything about that unfortunately.

Hey there buddy!

Thank You kindly for Your fast reaction! :) If I may, on another note. I'm running the test on VDD and VDDQ 1.4, this is a little high for my liking though temps are fine and I'm on hammering test [last one and the most demanding one] in MemTest and so far so good, 6200 MHz, CL36 and no errors.

Do You think it's okay to have VDD and VDDQ till Shamino fixes the UEFi/BiOS, or should I revert to my old memory for the time being?

//update: had to revert from XMP II. it didn't work after restart, was throwing errors at me, now I'm on XMP I. and VDD and VDDQ on 1.425v, is it too much? Temps go up to 40°C at hottest part of the testing [Hammering].

I know that SK Hynix has limit at 1.4v that's why I ask.

I've had my Dominator 6200MHz CL36 23GB kit running for about 36 hours now. I'm running them in a Hero Z690 with BIOS 1003 using XMP I at default voltages - successfully completed 4 passes of MemTest, Time Spy stress test, Port Royal and hasn't shown any issues so far.

I haven't received my Corsair Dominator 6200 kit yet, but from what I'm seeing the Corsair Dominator kits look vary well built, most likely will OC with lower temps vs the G.SKILL kits.

Did you get the corsair?

I'm undecided between corsair 6200 c36 and new gskill 6400 c32 and I would be very interested for temperatures results, for an aesthetic result I have no intention of putting  ram under liquid or  placing fan on them, gskill kit certainly has a better bin than corsair but I am interested for taking kit that remains at lower temperatures.

That is good to hear! My Dom 5600 c36 w samsung worked fine out of the box.....really hoping same or better from this Dom 6200 c36 w Hynix ;)

Still waiting, haven't received any shipping scan updates since Friday, February 4, 2022.

Last scan update was Memphis, TN @ 1:07 AM,.. I'm in Colorado, hoping to be delivered this week.

great, did you match on xmp profile without problems and without having to change anything? If so it's great, some users who are running gskill 6400 on apex can't start xmp. Have you already made long passes on memtest5 to see if it gives errors?

I'm in a similar spot.  Have the Corsair 6200 installed and have the G.SKILL 6400 sitting in a bag.  System's been torn apart to address some issues with the GPU block, but should have it up and running soon.  Will be interesting to see what results you get between the two.  I think the winner will be put under water to see what the thermal benefits are.

6400 XMP 1 Profile:                                                                                                                                                                          6400 Manually tuned:

I haven't had any issues with XMP 1 or Manually setting memory frequency with this system.

When switching from 2T to 1T,.. it's really important to clear cmos, power cycle, and train without fastboot. If it fails, press re-train.

You also need to power cycle when raising frequency.

Personally performance wise I see much better results with lower frequencies, tighter timings, command rate 1T. Running higher frequency 6600, 6800MHz with loose timings, command rate 2T does not gain me any performance.

Manually tuned 6000MHz CL28 1T up to 6400MHz CL32 1T seems to be the sweet spot for my system performance wise.
