I love how people use factless claims and think its fact.  The US is debt from helping other countries.  LOLOLOLOLOL.  That is some warped stuff.  Completely lacks reality.  Next thing we know, Aliens landed in Roswell.  Maybe Elvis is still alive.  JFK Jr is living in Atlantis.  C'mon Man!

And here I thought this was a conversation about Crypto-Butcoin.  Now its all about no facts and no reality.

No facts and no reality claims, right?

Do you even know what $28 Trillion is? The small amounts here are rounding errors on this. Try again. Who owns the treasury bills that make up that $28 Trillion? The American people.

What about $600 Billion in defense spending that is given to the socialist defense contractors? What about the $1 Trillion socialist tax cut given the the wealthy? I am sure those have nothing to do with the high debt levels. But hey, stopping COVID and sending a few million to Central America is a bridge too far. Got it.

Next thing your going to tell me is that people are not working because they got an extra $300 a week in unemployment compensation. Nice.

Guess the debt clock is off right and you believe that for sure, you wanted facts I give the so called facts to you, again do some reading, unless of course you believe what you want to believe in your perfect world, who is the chicken little now?

Price of a home is out of reach, not because of the monetary system, but because of 50 years of stagnant wages. We only care about what something costs, but never consider what it takes to live. That evil $15 wage at McDonalds. Hamburgers are going to priced sooo much higher. Yeah $0.17. Whoa. Who can afford that burger now! This entire conversation is devolved to buzz words and misinformation. Sounds like it’s right on the subject, just like this cryptoscourge.

The private industry creates the GDP not the government.
The government spends 1.5 to 2 trillion more than it takes in every year over year.
The government is in debt, ok 28,000,000,000,000.00$ and will be 32T if they pass another 4T spending plan.
How long can you keep spending more than you make before you go bankrupt?
Government only makes 3.5T and it spends 5+T You can't keep doing that. GDP is not the Governments income

I also remember when a Mom could stay home with the kids. A family could do well with one income.
No more, two people have all they can do to make ends meet today. Spending, debt, inflation, sinking dollar.
Debt for the government is really bad.
Interest rates have to go up so people can make some interest on their savings.
It is ruining our quality of life.

I posted the debt clock link. What are you smoking? I hope I never smoke something that makes me totally devoid of reality.

Dude I read your stuff months ago. It’s nothing. Keep on believing what you do. I present a conflicting opinion and you respond with this and I am the one not based on facts.

Do you think be used it’s posted on the internet it’s true?

Maybe that’s the problem.

The Asian countries population is higher than the US, and you care to tell me they spend less than the US? electricity, food and such?

China population:  1,444,216,107
Japan population:   126,147,280
US population:       332,444,430

Compare the population of China with US.  Count food as $1 expense per head who should be in debt then?

Where does it say you cannot do that? This is not your budget at home or a business. It’s a government and society. I had asked for one historical fact where a country imploded and its monetary system imploded based on debt. Please provide that. Everything you say here is anecdotal.

You cannot see this is a wage issue. Until wages change it will continue to get worse. But the debt will not sunk us, the disparity between the haves and the have nots will.

Price of a home is not cause by stagnant wages, it is cause by inflation.
Wages have gone way up over the years.
10$ an hour in 1980 was really good money when an apartment was 200$ a month rent.
A shopping cart of food overflowing was under 50$.

You realize government is not a business. Debt is a fallacy to government. They continue to print more dollars, issue more treasury notes. Rinse and repeat. You see this as bad, but that is how government and monetary works. As long as there is confidence, it continues. A bunch of guys on EVGA forum is not going to shake that confidence. Sorry,

Wrong. Dead wrong. If prices go up and the people who make the product get the smallest share, you have what we have now. The landlord increased his asking price for his unit getting more than the worker. Not a hard concept. Research the subject. There are a boatload of studies on this. A 1.5% raise when prices are rising at 2% is not good. It’s simple math.

Do you not see who gets these things. Do you think all these others folks from industrialized nations are clamoring to get here. Now that’s funny. The old, “Well there will always be rich and poor people.” This conversation is not reflective of my status. Even though, I understand that we cannot have the .01% that gained over a $Trillion in wealth while the rest went backward. That is something that cannot continue. If you think it can, you are in for a rude awakening. There will be revolt. History shows us that. Over and over again.

Do that by getting an education. Or get into a trade union. Go to trade school.

It can because it is a government. That is what you do not understand. That is not causing inflation. Capitalism causes inflation. More revenue, more income, more efficiency. No the tax cuts should not go there. Trickledown economics has failed. It is a disaster. A higher tax rate on the wealthy does not stop growth. It is shown it’s about the same. There are comparisons of the US growth against other countries who tax the wealthy more. Same growth. The difference is when they get the tax cuts they keep it for themselves. How many companies who got tax breaks did not buy back shares with the money? Zero. They all did. So the personal tax cut got the the .01% and so did the corporate tax cut. They collected twice.

You need people who can make a living wage without an education. Education is way too costly. Future generations will not get the value that we have. It costs too much. People who decide not to get an education have to afford life without working three jobs. If all we care about is price, this is what we get. A valueless society where you either make it or you don’t. The ones that make it are less 1% though. It will get hard to hold that 99% back.

So now I care too much about others. My what a disease that is. When did we get so callous that we no longer care? What a sad state of affairs. I don’t worry about others, but I do understand the intricacies of this. It’s a cause-effect relationship. Must be nice to just rationalize this away with, “Do the best you can, work hard and live within your means.” Too bad many cannot live with the means they have. This is not a question of whether someone has one BMW or two in their garage. This is about being able to feed yourself based on your income. Your statement is deaf to that. You need something called perspective.

Or you will be doomed to work several jobs or long hours.
Im sorry but it is life. The 1% 99% nonsense is so 2014. Let it go
The middle class is shrinking. Where is it going, going to the upper class.
The poor class is shrinking albeit slowly. It has shrunk 2% over the year spending trillions to end poverty

People seem to think the rich have the money under their pillow and don't share it.
It is how the banks work, the ones you love. They invest in banks, business and donate trillions to charity.
it is just 0s and 1s on a computer screen. (Sound like bitcoin in a way?)

Corporations have lifted more people out of poverty then the government ever has.

No corporation ever did that. Capitalism did that. There was a time corporations cared for workers. That day is long gone. I think you fail to realize that government has seeded most of the businesses and industries. You act like government is not necessary. I do not want to live in that world. If you think corporations will look out for you, I have some of the Brooklyn Bridge for you to buy.

Wrong.

That's because they're exchanging the financial risks of running a business for the sure thing of a paycheck.
The owners of a company are the ones absorbing the financial risks.
They're also the very last ones paid.
If you think this is somehow unfair to the worker, start your own work collective.
Then you can see why such things generally run like a bad HOA.
Everyone wants the BENEFITS.  But nobody wants to pay for them or take the financial risks.

And you're forgetting the business is eating the cost of those cost of doing business increases, in addition to the additional tax burden they bring.

Sorry, but "Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch".

Never was, never will be.

The neat thing about capitalism is that the entire system (outside of taxes) is entirely VOLUNTARY.
Don't like the conditions of employment?  The pay?  Whatever?
You aren't being forced to work there.
And, if you want, you can leave and become a direct competitor.

If you do not et an education then you have to learn a trade or some other skill.
Or you will be doomed to work several jobs or long hours.
Im sorry but it is life. The 1% 99% nonsense is so 2014. Let it go
The middle class is shrinking. Where is it going, going to the upper class.

Reality is that not everyone needs an education or a trade. The problem is that you think it’s all 1’s and 0’s, black or white. The world is infinite shades of gray. Why can a person who is waitress or cook not make a living wage? What should a janitor need a second job to make a living wage? Your perspective is way off. Seems the only tool in your tradesman belt is a hammer, because every problem you identify as a nail.

How many businesses have you run? How many have you started? If the answer is zero, then you need to not make these comments. Seems in our society taxes are voluntary for the ones who have the most.

What financial risk? Why do those that have money deserve what the masses assist in producing? Just because you take a risk does not mean you get to not pay those who are helping you produce it.

Stop worrying about other people and what they have and what you don't.
You think all those rich people are happy? I doubt it. Money will not make you happy
Life is not equal and never will be. Life is not fair, it is not and never will be.
Do the best you can, work hard and live within your means.

I have been to thousands of homes and business over the 33 years I did repair service.
I have worked in the projects, in many section 8 housing apartments.
Almost every apartment had big screen TVs, fridge with food, indoor plumbing, A/C and heat.
Saw a lot of cars on the parking lot nice than a car I could of afforded.
The average recipient get over 60k a year in rent, food, child care, health insurance.
All paid by the tax payer.
Most poor people in the US live better and longer and healthier than kings and queens did just 150 years ago.
Yes there are homeless and tent cities, most of them have mental health issue and do not want help.
There is help available for them.
We close the mental institutions and can't force people to take meds if they do not want to.
So they end up in the street.
Wish I could fix it but I can't. It is out of my control

My perspective, I been broke, had a family to support as a teenager. Worked 2 or 3 jobs.
1.25$ my first job. then made 5, went up to 9 then 12 15...... I learned a trade.
Worked ever second of over time. Came home ate dinner and went back to work for someone else.
Worked and learned and worked my way up tp lead tech.

Don't give me that bull pal. I been there. Could not even affrod to have cable. was like 30 a month back then
Poor people problems are not the rich mans fault.

Three.  One of them is still a going, multi-million dollar a year concern today.
I forewent extracting ANY money from the company for a decade and a half because one of my main concerns was keeping as many people as possible employed and that our freelancers would ALWAYS be paid.
And please stop thinking you have ANY say over who does and doesn't get to make comments on this subject.
Being malicious and ignorant will get you nowhere.

I have run companies for 30 years. There has never been a company that was successful just because of me. It was a group effort. To think otherwise is ignorant. Money does not define you. Material things are not the scorecard. If they are for you, I feel sorry for the you. Every organization I have been in was better after I arrived than before I got there. I am not so egotistical that I think it was because of me. It’s because if what the people did, the workers. I gave them a system that helped them. They are still going well after I left. That is what I do. I do not care about your bragging about “millions.” Good for you. Too bad you have learned very little about how society work though. Maybe next time. Keep trying.

But running a business is so easy. Payroll taxes, health insurance, liability insurance, unemployment insurance
disability insurance, payroll, electric, rent, fuel costs, work van loan.
Get a job do a job customer does not want to pay. Eat the cost of material and labor.
Joe calls in sick have to do his job too. And Joe wanted a raise. lol

Yes I had a business for a while. Long hours and not making money cause everyone had a sob story.
And my boss was too nice and gave me too many days off.
So I fired myself and Joe, went back to work for some one else and let them have the headaches.
