I have to go to work too because I work in a hospital. I am a officer at my hospital. Here in Texas they haven't shut down the state where your travel is restricted, but the governor declared a state of emergency. The county I live in just declared a state of emergency 2 days ago in which I thought it was pretty odd they did because the whole state of Texas is in a emergency already. I wonder how long it will take before travel is restricted. Hopefully never.

They set different rules. California has a restriction set until March 31st and our city of Los Angeles is restricted until April 19th. Businesses which refuse to close and are not essential, will lose their license. They're sending out certain agencies to check on complaince.

I am wondering what it does for EVGA employees since the company is located in California. Hopefully they can have a lot of staff work from home.
Also hopefully people understand that a lot of technology companies are located out of California and are understanding that this is outside the control of the companies. Things like shipping and support might be slowed down because of it. Just try to be understanding since we are all dealing with this.

The fact that people Can be contagious (14 days ?) without outward symptoms .....
They think they are "In the Clear" ... all the while the are possibly harming others as they spread the Virus

This is NOT the flu, it is just transmitted the same way, this is new with no treatments or vaccine. The rate of hospitalization and severe cases is at a much higher percentage, and will overwhelm our hospitals, Leaving thousands upon thousands of people dead, young and old, if nothing is done to slow the progression.

NYC here.. frigging thing is spreading like wildfire. Pretty much on lock down here, only essential services supposed to be open. NY just passed 8,300 confirmed infected (5,100 right here in NYC), although I'm sure the real number is much higher. Expected as much though, considering the amount of people here and the crowded subways etc.. Unfortunately Mayor De Blasio and Gov Cuomo did nothing but bloviate on tv for far too long, and didn't act until the virus already had a solid foothold.
So weird sitting here with the window open and it's almost quiet; usually there's a near constant sound of cars beeping and sirens and people yelling etc., but it's been virtually silent the entire time I've been typing this post.. surreal. I'm telecommuting for at least the next few weeks - lucky I have that option, same with my Mrs.

Lets take the worst case from the 2019-2020 info there. 54,000,000 cases 59,000 deaths That's a .1% mortality rate Current info on coronavirus: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/272,285 cases 11,310 deaths 4.1% mortality rate Coronavirus is 40 times deadlier than the flu. Do you want a .1% chance to die, or a 4.1% chance?

What are you going to do when you've been notified it's above 70K? This is just now hitting the US, some states have not even broken 100 documented cases while some went from 0 to nearly 1000 in a week. They expect this to hit 70% to 80% of the population, this whole thing is to slow the progression, not to stop it.

I believe Covid-19 will infect about 40% of world population.
If virus reach 80% of population he will clean significant number of patients who are treated with other medications because different health problems.
That will be huge impact on pharmaceutical companies. Imagine if virus only kill 30% of people with hepatitis, tuberculosis, HIV, cancer, leukemia, people with diabetes are vulnerable as well. Imagine impact on pharmaceutical industry...

You just hit the nail on the head. While we should take precautions, it is still just a meager drop in the bucket compared to annual flu deaths. And the Corona affects people in various ways. I'm reading first hand reports of people self isolated that it feels like a bad cold, with a dry cough and a killer headache, and that's all. Some don't survive (like every other virus that visits us every year)
