1 more clarification. This only pertains to 30 series notify? I don't have to remove my 20 and 16 series ones?

So is my que from 2/26 going to be happening anytime soon?  I am hearing folks from January's que have already gotten theirs.
Mine is :

Then this would be my advice.  It's very unlikely you'll see more -KR cards of any type, including HC cards.  If you are willing to give up a notification option for a possibility that we will make a -KL HC card down the road, then we would switch people still in the -KR queue over to that one.  However, I can't guarantee that we will have more HC cards.  And therein lies the rub.

The far better option would be to use a notify on an ULTRA card and purchase a third-party block for it.  That would generally give you a much better chance for success.

I hope that can be of some use to you.

I really hope that could be applied also to folks from the EU as well at one point, as many reverted to -KR variants too, in the hopes of getting a card, as it seemed that it can “help” and it did, a lot of peeps got 3080s, 3070s and some 3060Tis (all -KR) during summer drops, judging from the reports. I did the same for the 3060Ti (12/10) to no avail. In any case and even if I get skipped and don’t get anything, Queue 2.0 seems more tuned in and just. Here’s to hoping EU queues get better soon! Thanks for the updates and clarification on how it will work from now, it helped a lot.

3.    The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.

Given that it's unlikely the current queues will be completely fulfilled within the next 2-3 months (which is around when the Super series is rumored to launch), would new queues start if and when Super cards are launched?
Or would Super cards be allocated just to fill the massive queues that already exist today? Similar as to how the non-LHR to LHR transition occurred..
I doubt anyone knows the answer to this yet, but would love to hear opinions or thoughts as to what would happen with Super cards potentially releasing soon, with respect to the queue system.

My apologies if this has already been answered, I have a 12-G-P5-3967-KR: RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming card in my queue, as the KR version was the only type available back then, and still appears to be the only version listed.
If this card becomes a KL version, I would have no problem with purchasing that version, as it is only for gaming use, I don't do mining, and I would accept either version.

So, is my original queue request for the RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming card still valid, regardless of which type becomes available?

Yes, the 3967-KR is still valid.  Due to an odd bit of timing the 3080 Tis retained the -KR designation but are, in fact, LHR. So there will not be a -KL version of the product number as the -KR is already LHR.

I thank you, for promptly answering my question!
That makes sense as well, I wondered why they were still being listed as KR, as the LHR version is what is being made now for most of the 30 series.

The link takes you to a login page. Upon logging in it just returns you to forums.evga.com and not a page to select two GPUs. What am I missing? Why is this such a never ending sh*tshow?

Re: Better Queue System, More Gamers to Get a Card! 2021/10/05 19:15:09 (permalink)
So let me get this straight. We have what, a dozen or so different card models?  Most are never going to ever be made again.  And a que system that penalizes for not searching the forum as an uber enthusiast seeking max advantage at getting a card?  We have a huge number of card models that appear to not have moved in 3 or 4 quarters.   Seems to be cards that are dead ends in the que and never going to be made again folks need to moved to products that will. Probably without loosing their time stamp. And condense down the model numbers and get rid of the illusion of choice. Giving priority to folks that have not gotten a card is a really good start.  But this is a mess.

Feeling a little burned that as I lived my life and signed up in a que that in fact, none of my part numbers seems to have moved. At all.  Meaning I wasted time thinking it was covered. I am, it appears, having my butt hanging in the breeze.  This is partly my fault. For putting to much faith in the que and EVGA.

So now we are suppose to dump part numbers voluntarily for dead products or be skipped?  Does this really make sense?  There ends up being little point signing up for a que if you choose poorly on a bloated product page with reduced supply and no intention of filling certain part numbers cause supply issues and poor planning/leadership/adapting to the reality of the market.  Que system was a great idea.  How its rolling seems to be turning into a mess for reasons I can only guess at.  But bottom line, I need to be more proactive and get a damned card from anyone and not rely on a broken que system with poor management. I am a gamer sure, but also 3d artist and need a freaking decent up to date ray tracing card.  UGH.. this is annoying.

So I'm currently stuck in another country around Asia, and every time I want to look at "My Notifies" in the "MY EVGA" tab it shows a prompt to log in (even though I was already logged in) and redirects me to the home page of EVGA Asia. Essentially there's nothing I can do to access my notifies to select my GPU preferences.

So I got a paperweight 3060 and that means I'm back of the line?
Shouldn't something like this be posted on the front page of evga.com or is it only those that don't work 10hr shifts and live on the forum that don't have to find these updates from facebook rants....

"Going forward, the queue system will only allow for two 30 Series notifies on the current lineup."

I have already received 2 cards from the "current line up" does this mean I'm screwed for getting my kingpin, or just limits me to 2 more cards. What about 20 series stock notifications, do those need to be removed?

You may purchase 2 more cards going forward.  It's irrelevant how many you've purchased before, unless you're trying to purchase the same part number again.  We still only allow one purchase per part number.

So for somebody like me, who still hasn't even got one, and only has one he's after,  somebody who's already obtained three cards from the queue could still possibly get two more cards before I get mine?  How is this even remotely fair or different to how it was before?

Everyone,

As we continue to monitor the queue to get cards to gamers sooner, we appreciate all the feedback to help us to improve the queue system.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the 30 Series Products, our first step was to close the notify queue until we can fulfill them. Management team then took an extra step to prioritize those that have not received a card versus others who have been able to get multiple GPU’s.

After reading the feedback, there were legitimate concerns about retroactively changing the queue function. We are sorry for any frustration this caused, this was not the company’s intention. Today we are going to make the following updates:

1.    The queue system will be rolled back to the previous rule.
  • Anyone who missed a card from Monday, October 4th, will be notified on the next release.
  • EVGA will continue to send notifies through October 8th.
2.    In order to get cards to gamers sooner, please go to the notify page at https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp and keep only the top two cards selected that you would like to purchase, and remove the others.
  • On October 11th, 2021, the system will only lookup and send notifies based on your two oldest entries.
  • Going forward, the queue system will only allow for two 30 Series notifies on the current lineup.
  • EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|N, HYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.
  • EVGA is also going to be adding SMS verification to the checkout process for all notifications to catch bot orders.
3.    The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.
4.    The checkout window is 20 hours from the time of notification released.

EVGA appreciates your feedback to continue improving the queue system to deliver 30 Series cards into as many gamers hands as possible.

Thanks
EVGA

Totally dumb and no different to how the system was before.

EVGATech_LeeM,

Thanks for posting such a detailed explanation on your recommendations going forward. I will be building my first gaming computer once I receive a gpu, so your advice was invaluable. It helped me narrow my notifies down to my top two.

All the best, K.

PS.. I am excited to be receiving my PSU tomorrow via UPS. I took advantage of EVGA’s recent sale. It will be my first EVGA product, but not my last! 😁

Patiently waiting for one of the following GPUs:

How will this affect our signing up for future SKU's?

Say I get two cards and the RTX 3090 TI/super comes out over 90 days after my second purchase, outside the Step-Up window. Am I disqualified for signing up for this hypothetical card? I understand you can neither confirm nor deny the existence of these cards, I'm just saying IF there are more SKU's.

In an effort to follow the instructions, I was trimming my list down to (2) desired video cards--but I misread the model numbers and removed the wrong one! Is there a way to reverse this?

~Thanks!

Accidentally did the same while removing some of my old KR auto-notifies that probably won't ever be fulfilled...

Is there a way to contact support to have it restored so I can stick with the correct 2 selections that I want?

I'm queued up for a 3080ti XC3 12G-P5-3953-KR. Do I have any chance of getting this in the next 14 years or are they not being made anymore?

I did not add any "ultra" skus because they were too expensive. I hope I'm not out of luck.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.  You'll find that the people getting a card or cards in the current shortage / crypto environment are those willing to spend a huge amount of time and effort pursuing all options over a period of months. There are many guides online as to what those are.  Some people may be willing to pay a higher price and understand the valuation of the cards.   If you can't compete with those people, you're going to come up empty.  Passively waiting in the queue may eventually get you card at a "fair" firesale price but will take a while and success is not guaranteed.

IF you have to have something today, the 3080 Ti FTW3 is $1750 on StockX, for a $350 premium over msrp, but still less than any other comparable AIB 3080 Ti at msrp.  People say the card can make about $150-200 a month mining which can be used to recoup some of the cost.

Good thing I'm actively and impatiently obsessed with where is my card. I suspect most people will have no idea any of this is going on. Just going about life waiting for that golden ticket email that may or may not ever come and if does it may only come for the card they really did not want the most.

I may be in the minority but I much more preferred serving people who have not gotten any 30 series card yet over the ones who have. I'm not going to look but I can imagine the butt hurt in those tweets or whatever from the mining riggers and other elitist.

All I know is I have the PC of my dreams sitting here in pieces just waiting for case fans coming tomorrow and a graphics card coming....??????
I will have to limp with a 5 year old GeForce 1070 while others succeed in tantrums to get their 2nd, 3rd...whatever 30 series.
Infuriating does not even begin to explain what I really want to say.
