Good thing I'm actively and impatiently obsessed with where is my card. I suspect most people will have no idea any of this is going on. Just going about life waiting for that golden ticket email that may or may not ever come and if does it may only come for the card they really did not want the most.

I may be in the minority but I much more preferred serving people who have not gotten any 30 series card yet over the ones who have. I'm not going to look but I can imagine the butt hurt in those tweets or whatever from the mining riggers and other elitist.

All I know is I have the PC of my dreams sitting here in pieces just waiting for case fans coming tomorrow and a graphics card coming....??????
I will have to limp with a 5 year old GeForce 1070 while others succeed in tantrums to get their 2nd, 3rd...whatever 30 series.
Infuriating does not even begin to explain what I really want to say.

Very sorry to hear about your troubles, at least the revised system will still give you an improved chance vs. the old way.  I'd recommend taking a hard look at where you sit in the queues and where the tracking graphs put you, then deciding if you need to take a more active approach with other options per my other post above.

Why are scammers allowed to buy more than one card before everyone else can get at least one? It's a little ridiculous.

Well this seems a bit promising. But when it says "the oldest entries" that still means any of the two I pick, right? IE: The 3797 and 3755? (I'm closer in que for the 3797). Thanks for any clarification.

Edit: I'll go for the 3070ti's.

Feeling a little burned that as I lived my life and signed up in a que that in fact, none of my part numbers seems to have moved. At all.  Meaning I wasted time thinking it was covered. I am, it appears, having my butt hanging in the breeze.  This is partly my fault. For putting to much faith in the que and EVGA.

This market situation isn't EVGA's fault. The market is insane right now, the only way to get a card for MSRP is to spend literally days and weeks learning the ins and outs of each outlet, practice getting in on drops, sign up for Discord notifications, etc etc. Many people have burned multiple days of vacation, get up early regularly to get into queues, have been signing up for the Newegg shuffle for a year, the list goes on. You can't just waltz in nearly a year into this going *claps hands* "Okay, I'm ready to build a PC!" And expect to snag a card in a few months. All of the scalpers and bots got in with their multiple addresses at the same time the rest of us did, so if you signed up 3-6 months later there's literally no way in hell that the initial change (nor this one) would help regardless.

TLDR: If you're too busy 'living your life' to fight against bots and scalpers for a year like everyone else has been, your best options are an overpriced AMD card on Newegg, an RTX card from a Scalper, camp out at Microcenter/Best Buy, or just buy a gaming laptop.

I’m so glad you are extending the time frame of when you can purchase the cards after being notified.

I am a single dad with 8 children to support and I was Notified one day before payday. I didn’t know I was going to receive my notification, and when I finally Saw it, I only had one hour left to purchase the card. Unfortunately for me, it was late and I had no way of purchasing the card.

If I ever have the opportunity again, that would be really nice.

Maybe you can also send a Text message to show that our spot is ready in the que?

I work Construction and never check my emails during the day.

Scammers don't actually buy any cards. I think you mean scalpers. The two types are not interchangeable.
  • Scalpers sell the real deal for a high price. This is legal.
  • Scammers sell you a fake, often for a price that's too good to be true. This is fraud.

I'm queued up for a 3080ti XC3 12G-P5-3953-KR. Do I have any chance of getting this in the next 14 years or are they not being made anymore?

I did not add any "ultra" skus because they were too expensive. I hope I'm not out of luck.

kinda in the same situation as you, but with the 3070ti. not sure whether or not to drop the 3070ti xc3 (3783-KL).... there's activity in the last 30 days apparently according but just barely as the last reported movement was 1 second only, so it's not looking so good :/

That's a very valid question and I'd like to know that as well. Usually the placeholder in the form field is a clue of the format to be used (e.g: +12 345 678 9000 or 345 678 9000 directly) but from what I can see there is none. I think I'll set mine with country code for the time being and change it back if needed. Better to have more details than too few I guess.

Since we're still working on adding this, I can ask our programming team to check on this.  However, this would be more likely to impact people purchasing on our EU store.

That would be great actually as I am in the EU so this is quite relevant. I presume getting the phone number right ahead of time would very much also mean less support calls to you guys as otherwise there might be plenty of people with an email and no SMS code due to local variations in phone number formatting (I've seen all of these: (+99 099 999 9999), (099 999 999), (099.999.9999), (99 999 999) and while some things like missing the leading 0 when not putting the country code are fine, others like not putting the country code or using dots may throw a monkey wrench in the gears). As someone who's had to make a little thingy to process form submissions in order to automate delivery of a few hundred packages (ain't nobody got time to do that manually) I can vouch that user error on data entry is a major pain in the read end.

How does this work for people who originally had early queues for the lower tier cards (i.e. the XC Black) versions, but only signed up for the queues for the upper tier models much later when they noticed that the lower tier queues were not moving? Will you be offering those people a chance to purchase the upper tier cards on their queues too?

Hey Jacob, what if we got selected for a queue on a higher priced model that we didn't want for ourselves but family members were interested in so we purchased that SKU for them (they paid us back) and we are still hoping to land the more affordable SKU. Will we still be eligible to be chosen?

I like the changes, I cleared my queue of every card but 1 at the beginning of September, and "unfortunately" it is the base model RTX 3070 Ti XC3 which I'm supposed to be less than a minute out on, but I will probably still be waiting throughout the rest of the year if not longer, so lets see what the rumored SUPER refresh and Intel GPU launch looks like.

Thank you for your response and yes but if only the two oldest entries are going to count going forward, we need to have better visibility into the probability of getting them to be able to make an informed decision.

For example, there is a big difference between "do not expect many" and "if at all". Some people might want to keep one of their two entries in the -KR queue if there is still some chance, otherwise it just does not make sense to waste the entry. Different -KR queues might have different chances too.

Please consider sharing some information to help us pick the entries to keep. It was not an issue before, but with the new rules it would be really helpful to have at least some insight on how realistic staying in a given -KR queue is if we are to pick only two entries.

Respectfully, we've pretty much already given this guidance.  Under most circumstances, we probably wouldn't say anything due to giving internal information.  Telling people which SKUs we will likely have available informs our competition, as well.  Also, up to a certain level, we cannot control what we chips we have available to make and other material shortages may force decisions about which products we make down the road.  I would suggest that any guidance we're giving here should be taken literally, and that if you choose a different part number or type of card, you do so with the understanding that we cannot guarantee that there will be more.

To reiterate the advice we've given publicly -

LHR vs. Non-LHR - With the exception of the GeForce RTX 3090 cards (which are non-LHR only), we do not expect to fill many orders for non-LHR cards at this point.  We cannot give much guidance past that.  I would only consider staying in a non-LHR (-KR) queue for the RTX 3080, 3070, 3060 Ti cards if you only want a card for mining and have no interest in a card for any other purpose.

HYBRID, HYDRO COPPER, K|NGP|N - These are impacted queues.  If your goal at this point is to get at least one 30 Series card, I would choose at least one or both XC3 ULTRA GAMING OR FTW3 ULTRA GAMING card as one of your 2 notifications.  If your goal is to try to get two 30 Series cards, then I would suggest removing the HYBRID, HYDRO COPPER, and K|NGP|N cards from your notification list.  If you only want a HYBRID, HC, or KPE card, and you are willing to risk not getting a(nother) 30 Series card, then feel free to keep these cards in your notification queue.

XC3 GAMING, XC3 BLACK GAMING, FTW3 GAMING - Note the lack of ULTRA in these names.  Jacob noted that the XC3 ULTRA GAMING and FTW3 ULTRA GAMING cards are the ones that will have most availability.  Some of you have noticed in the queue summaries that some of these part numbers have moved very slowly since launch.  I would not expect them to suddenly surge forward at this point.  If you have the choice between XC3/XC3 BLACK and XC3 ULTRA, or FTW3 and FTW3 ULTRA, we strongly suggest you keep the ULTRA cards in your notification queue.

I understand that everyone would love to have perfect knowledge when making their decisions here, but the subtext on these is pretty clear.  If the guidance was less black and white about what we think will be available, then we wouldn't offer it in the first place.

Just give it to me straight, 9/17/2020 9am 3881-KL even worth keeping? Support always tells me that they send them out every week.

I received my e-mail notify yesterday at 17:25 CEST.
When I clicked on the provided link it opened my shopping cart with the graphics card in it. I did not have enough money on my account to purchase it so I went to the bank to fix that asap.
When I got home later that night, my shopping card had the card in it but the quantity was changed to 0 and I couldn't purchase it anymore.

"Notification sent" is set to "Yes" which means I missed my card and can't get it anymore?

My first 2 entries are 3080 (non Ti) versions and as far as I can see the list hasn't moved for a long long time. Next up are hybrid versions of the cards which are recommended to remove since they wont be manufactured any time soon if even ever.
My last 2 cards are this one which I can't buy and 12G-P5-3967-KR which I was late for almost a whole day.

Is there any way to get atleast this 3070Ti which I received my notify yesterday or can I forget getting any card any time soon?

Well, all I want is an iCX3 3080 card, of which there are only two, and one is -KR, the other I got automatically bumped to a -KL, (I miss the old days of -AX/-AR) so... I guess its just one card I am waiting on now? I do have notifies for both.

Reply to the email that was sent to you to purchase the card and let them know what happened and EVGA may fix this for you.

Is there any way to get at least this 3070Ti which I received my notify yesterday or can I forget getting any card any time soon?

Someone should take note of every single hilarious situation the queue is causing to the people and write a book or make memes to make the watch bearable.

S.D: Why EVGA doesn't remove from the web page those SKUs that most likely they won't manufacture more? Or remove the pending notifications to these SKUs? That would clear doubts about what SKU's worth waiting for.

If that sounds unfair, then change automatically the notification to the next SKU in the same line that is more likely to be manufactured. Somehow like it was done with KR and KL versions.

If someone is not interested in the proposed model, then pass on the next in the queue. In the end, the result would be the same. but at least there's a chance to buy something. By the time you get notified, maybe grabbing a different model is not that bad after all. Compared with getting nothing.

Of course, moving to the next SKU automatically moves you back to the SKU's queue. But this is anything different from waiting for something that will never happen.

Re: Better Queue System, More Gamers to Get a Card! 2021/10/06 05:36:45 (permalink)
Jacob please add to the post:
  • How 16## card notifies signed up for impact this?
  • What happens to any notifies over 2, is it going to delete anything that isn't the oldest 2, and is it relative to launch? I signed up for several 3070 models but am much closer on the unofficial queue position list for a 3070ti, will I lose my place in line for the 3070ti if I keep a third notify for a 3060ti? Being blind on when something might be available means might lose out, if there's 5 products someone would buy, but only need one and you're out of all of the queues after, you lose 3 opportunities.
  • What happens with future releases, with enough knowledge of the existence of a Super launch, would we have to trade one of current notifies to get onto one of those lists?
I know some people already said these topics, but adding my voice hoping they get addressed.
