I just learned about the deadline and unable to make changes. Totally missed that part :(

You should email webmaster@evga.com to get it fixed, most got their notifies fixed, though you should let them know why you missed the window to make changes

Don't bother.  They won't do anything.  How do I know?  Here's what they told me:

Hello,

After 10/11/21 we are no longer able to change which notifies are active.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,
EVGA

This was very poorly implemented.  If you weren't paying attention to the EVGA forums, and you happened to have old cards queued, you're <removed> out of luck.

Why couldn't they (1) default you to your two cards with oldest queues (as they did), but (2) give you one opportunity to change your status one time without a deadline?  Can someone explain why that wouldn't have worked just as well without pissing off customers?

Or if they had to stick with their stupid deadline, why couldn't they default to (1) your oldest queue, and (2) your newest queue?  That way you're less likely to <removed> someone over who happens to be more interested in the latest card he or she queued for?

This just wasn't well thought out.

I generally like EVGA.  They make good cards and they have a good reputation for standing by their products.  But this deadline <removed> is just incredibly <removed> stupid.  I don't know if I'll ever purchase another EVGA product after this.

Let's watch the language here. Even trying to get around a profanity filter counts. You've been warned.

just looking at it,,, it does not look like more cards are going out but it seems like the reporting back on the Q is moving more in the time stamps.

Hey everyone, I have a question. So I didn't see the email telling me to pick 2 and it defaulted to my NEWEST 2 as active, not my oldest. Am I just out of luck getting my oldest? Is there any way to fix this?

So ,
1st, I understand we're all consumers here, I'm seeing if anyone else here has had this issue before I contact evga directly.
2nd, yes, It says I got a notification on one of my newer notifies. I never followed through on it because I prefer a 3080 over a 3090.
I know they won't change anything as they clearly state it on the main site, I just wanted to know if this was a common thing or a fringe case.

Edit* I realize I didn't say this in my original post, my apologies.

I get that you prefer a 3080 over a 3090, but this isn't a market with a lot of options right now. (And I assume you liked the 3090 enough to click the notify button)

Yeah, I did like it enough after waiting since October 13th of last year, I figured why not queue for a 3090 before they hike the price up. But that isn't the point of my post. Im coming here to ask a question, not to be chastised. If it's a "common" mistake it's fine, I'll just trade it for a 3080, but if not I'll pursue it further with evga.

To properly answer your question, you have a couple choices but they may not work.

First you can reach out to webmaster@evga.com and see if they'll change the active card(s) to your oldest notifies.

Or you can try to respond to the notify you received for the 3987, explain your situation and desire to purchase this card. They "might" send you another invite to purchase, maybe.

Best of luck!

Edit: if you don't have the invite to purchase email anymore here's the address, ordernotify@evga.com

I never received an email that things were reset and to re-register.

Is it even worth trying at this point?

How is this a better que system?
I have been skipped in line multiple times on my as good as day one 10G-P5-3897-KL 9/18/2020 12:51:19 AM PT No True notify
And i cant change my notify list so my day one 3080 Ti notifies stay active due to a bunch of old KR notifies that are EOL and a 3060 and 3070 notify i dont want.

How is this better?

I should have had a 3080 by now or, if i was able to delete entries, a 3080 ti because both day 1.. This is not better nor is it fair.

You are wrong with your assumption. Also in EU this card has been shipped to people.
Are you also skipping the other part?
Your judgement is tainted due to personal reasons.

It's not an assumption.

Based on the information available, it appears that card has shipped to people in Europe who queued 9/17/2020. You queued 9/18/2020 for that model, according to information you provided.

If your card is queued in the NA queue then contact webmaster@evga.com and explain your situation. They should take care of you. If you're queue in the EU queue hopefully your time will come sooner than later!

Best of luck!

Prior to the queue lock down, I removed all of my notifies except like 4 of them. I was undecided as to which cards I wanted, is why I didn't whittle my list all the way down to 2.

Just prior to the queue lock down, I received notifies for a 3060ti and 3080ti. I ordered because, well, the queue was getting locked down and I'd only be able to acquire 2 more (sorry to the folks who are still waiting, but I did pass on a lot of notifies too).

After the queue was locked down, none of my notifies are active.

FYI - I did also get a 3080 early on (gifted to my nephew), and a 3090 which I kept for myself (both back in 2020).

Did my notifies get deactivated because I already purchased some cards from EVGA, or was it the timing of the purchase of the 3060ti and 3080ti just prior to the queue lock?

I notice in the new queue rules there is a statement:
"Management team then took an extra step to prioritize those that have not received a card versus others who have been able to get multiple GPU’s."

But if you read the subsequent rules, there is nothing that states you will have all of your queue notifies deactivated if you purchased a card recently, or in sometime in the past. Just looking for some clarification.

Thanks,
Jason

My understanding is that after the queue lockdown you were allowed two more cards, regardless of previous purchases. That's my understanding not any sort of official statement.

EVGA will announce the date and time that the queues will open.  It generally is the date and time that NVIDIA has set for the authorized release of the GPU by AIBs and it will never be any earlier as NVIDIA does not allow that.  The first 24 hours are for elite members and afterwards for everyone else.

Just check this site and particularly the forums and you'll have all the information.

I think the issue is they shut down the queues and only allowed people to have 2 cards in a queue.  With we be able to have 3 or more when the new cards come out or will we still be limited to 2?  In other words will be have to delete our current queues to get in the new one?  I don't think any of that has been stated.

I think the issue is they shut down the queues and only allowed people to have 2 cards in a queue.  With we be able to have 3 or more when the new cards come out or will we still be limited to 2?  In other words will be have to delete our current queues to get in the new one?  I don't think any of that has been stated.

My hunch/guess/speculation is that we will have to remove one to queue for one and can not have more than two active.

Whatever EVGA decides to do, they will let us know in due course, so we might as well just sit back and wait.

DarkRayne
So since Nvidia has now officially announced new 30 series cards, how is that going to work?

Best way to keep up with when they are released and how it's going to work is fallow Jacob and EVGA on social media and check the forums.
