Wow.. now I gota learn good stable gaming settings!

Just tried playing bf5 just to see how she was in a game and didnt get further then the menu system. Was shocked!

Figured it was the high voltage I had on it at the time of 1.1375v LL1 so lowered that to 1.10000v and tried again.. game drops pretty much right away so lowered the overclock to 2160mhz but stayed at 2145.

Nice.. temps stayed at 38-39c the whole time playing but I'm gona have to mess with it to get me back to 2190mhz like the ftw3.

First time attempting some rtx feature stuff so at first my heart sunk thinking it was bad. Hehe

Think I've found my card limits without overvolting.  I'm cpu limited based on my 4.6 clock.  PR settings are not stable in games, but TS and FS seems stable.  I'll need to re-confirm KP stability after I upgrade.  Ordered 9900k and z390 dark.  Should hold me over until Intel shrinks die.  My 5960 has served me well over the years.  I wish PX1 is improved with CT features.

Going to see how well the EK 360 with the Raystorm block holds out.  I've have pushed my 5960 to 4.9, but Prime temps were crazy.  At 4.6, they're in the 60-70s, depending on room temps.  This is temporary until something really really really good comes out.  I'm still looking for a better case and possibly the Koolance.

That'd be a nice clock ahowes. And that is zeddi for the info.

The gpu voltage is the top slider in the CT tool? I'll give it a whirl. I tried load line 0 and lost 4k points on timespy but didn't change anything along with it haha

My car hardly ever passes 370w as far as the.monitors read. I do understand it spikes well above this hence the extra power headroom for smooth performance

? Maybe you were hitting the power limit during the bench? Did you see power limit "1" at all during the bench and or your clocks down down during load?

What clock did you try for it?

Mine crashes at +100offset and above, at stock CT settings and In px1 144%/100mv.

Tomorrow I'm going to fudge around with loadline

9900k@5.1 and the KP (+1000mem) I'm at 15199 timespy right now. Dunno how that stacks up.

In game at 3440x1440/144 im getting 2030/2160 game dependent. The 2160 usually falls to 2115/2085 pretty quick, but then stays sable

How are you getting 39c in game?! What fan %? / Open bench?

At 55% (max OC profile fan) Corsair ml's, I'm getting like 45c ish. W/ a 20.55c ambient in a fractal s2 meshify.

After the 5th re read of xdevs, I think I'm starting to see a more illustrated picture of the KP fine tuning lol.

One item of note thus far, when compared to my 2080 ti black, I seem to be noticing a bit more artifact in game. Then again it's probly a driver related oddity

It's 99.9% because of the room temps and fans you're using, rgb doesn't equal performance. I'm using 2x a12x25 pwm along with the stock fans from original in push pull on an open bench

You really shouldn’t be seeing any artifacts in games at all if you’ve got good stability.

I got on the internet last night on this machine. My clean install was updated. 41,8xxx's went to 40,9xx-41,2xx's. Instead of restoring I thought I would play with DIMM settings. Running 4400-17 @1.147v for all my tests. I set the RAM to 4200 @1.375. Graphics score jumped to 41,8xx-9xxx's FS. Physics and combined did drop some. Am not hitting 31,xxx's anymore. I think it's the temp over here though. I called around to a few friends to see if they knew anybody with a restaurant with a walk in freezer I could use. They didn't understand.

Very good idea, myself i have a 18000btu window air conditioner in my house so i just moved my filing cabinet over, put my desktop on it and got that 50F degrees air blowing right in the pc case with the side off.  ( Don't judge me)

I knew there was some secret sauce to your bench. AC units definitely help. Very nice Port Royal scores by the way.

HaHaHa... Both of my sides are off, I have a 8000btu in the window, and the cards radiator isn't even mounted. I have it stretched away from the case on the KP box it came in.

Currently sort of an open bench as my KP rad is mounted with zip ties hanging in the case with 2 glass panels off so its gets air. Corsair sp120 hp fans in push pull max speed running from the mb.

Going to flash the ln2 bios in the OC bios switch position so I can get the card fan at 100%.. might even add another fan pointed at the top half to get the mem cooler.. or atleast try as they run hotter in the 40s.

Room temp as I enter during the day can get to 66f and after an hour or so will climb to 72 "if the heat turns on" which happens late at night.

now all you need is some ducting, duct tape and card board to channel all that cool air from the window directly to the Radiator

If that's all that's needed I can hit the store and get a huge flex duct and cut a hole in the furnace duct going right over my pc and mount the flex line over the rad fans. Though prob be another month before we need to start running the air conditioning. :/

Would freak the wife out if she ever came downstairs though. Obviously make it a temp deal where I could just remove it and replace the square panel when not needed. Hehe

now all you need is some ducting, duct tape and card board to channel all that cool air from the window directly to the Radiator

  Hmmmmm...I have these things...sounds like a good idea...I can build this...I am going to build this...I will soon be at the top damnit, of the 31,101 FS.

:/ dont have that game to test to see if I have the same issue.

Just got done flashing the Ln2 bios to the OC switch position and wow! Huge difference in fan speed for the card fan. Before on the OC switch I seen 2400rpm and now 3706rpm! I can hear her now lol.

Let's check those default temps in icx before and after.. default

Before/After

Mem1= 40c /35c
Mem2= 37c/32c
Mem3= 28c/23c
GPU1= 27c/23c
GPU2= 30c/27c
PWR1= 31-32C / 29C
PWR2= 27C / 24-25C
PWR3= 30-31C / 25C
PWR4= 32-31C / 26-27C
PWR5= 24C / 23C

Hold it all that info is going to be off as the new temps are from running the card at 1350mhz.. it wont boost to 2055 at default like prior. :/

Yeah had fun remembering why the power limit would not stick after upgrading from 425.31 drivers to the newest 430.64.

I'll mess with it some more.. prob have to have px1 use prior settings on load? That's prob it. As its boosting to 2055mhz on load.

So maybe the next boot I can edit this post to show some kinda idea of the difference of board temps with ln2 bios used flashed to the oc switch position.

Using newer drivers then 425.31? Thet will cause px1 to not be able to set max power. You have to run px1 in administer mode to get px1 to be able to use max power.

Strange.. only had a chance for one bench before my son came home and ran 2190 +140 8200mhz ram at 1.1325v I think it was and LL1. Locked up in firestrike extreme! I think the last test. I mean like really? Never ever happen prior. At that clock or voltage!

So I'm hoping that was a fluke! Only change was drivers and using the ln2 bios flashed to the oc switch. So that would just run the fans at 100%.
