Is that information on eu site correct, that the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 has 2 times RGB lightning?

http://de.evga.com/articles/01092/evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti/

It is rgb for the GPM temp sensors only, the rest of the card is white light.

Thats actually incorrect. The cooler LED is also RGB on the SC2, not white. Its mind boggling how EVGA hasnt come forward and definitively answered this question so we can put it to rest.

You would have to follow EVGA pretty close to understand. They have been incredibly hard to follow with the updates. If you want to see an example, go look at all the different lengths of the FTW3. The SC2 Rgb Is a new update.

In a lot of ways, this "Elite" program pushes me out of favour already - though I like EVGA's product line and intend to get a card, I haven't bought a new desktop in quite a while, and have only been on their forums a few months.

I think a better option would have been to make the FTW3 with a removeable fan shroud; thereby offering the other 5 shrouds in the box with instructions on how to swap it out.  That way, anybody could do it with their card if they wanted.

Let's play the game, get our 100 posts, and get a choice?

I agree with this, but not only because I find my situation mirrors @Hyncharas above.
I think it's good business sense to offer a way for users to change the color of the card (shroud and backplate) to enhance the visual aspect of their system(s). After all, EVGA puts RGB lighting in some of the cards, don't they? Why not offer both?!

My graphics card is going out. If you could rush out the Evga FTW3 ICX, I would be happy.

Looks pretty good, but in some pictures the card looks more black, sometimes more like aluminium. Hard to tell...

So what your saying is that the specs "might" be a mistake? How can a big company like EVGA not get the specs right of there own product..clearly 1 out of 2 people think its either White or RGB and there has been ZERO attempt to definitively address that question ..nvm no worries..late enough to the party, dont need late surprises. The RGB for the cooler was a deal breaker. I already picked up the Asus Strix which should be arriving Wednesday, and im just going to cancel the EVGA pre-order. Thanks again!

All icx technology products seem to have rgb in the shroud as well as the gpm lights. Products with just the heatsink have white Leds for the shroud. At least for products currently announced.
Looks like the FTW3 length confusion was due the cooler extending past the PCB. They updated the info to take this into account. Though this repetitive spec update thing is starting to get old.

No, they have now verified that the SC2 will definitely have RGB. I am saying that as the product vets closer to release, they change info without saying they have. They just update the little thumbnail, and the specs and then users find it as the updates happen so it is really hard to follow.

Let us know how you like the asus card. I am actually interested in how it does.

Can anyone from EVGA confirm how the preorders work? Will we have the opportunity to cancel the sale?

Reason Im asking is, from the AU website, further information about pricing is vague. There is no mention if the price already includes tax (as is custom in our country), if it includes shipping, or when delivery date will be.

Can EVGA clarify?
Thank you.

I second this query.

Also I have not yet heard word regarding an estimated ship date for AU purchased FTWs.

Hey,

I have a question.

I see that the GTX 1080 Ti FTW 3 is available for order on Amazon in the US.  When will it become available for order on Amazon in the EU (de, fr, co.uk, ...) ?

Thanks in advance for the info.

so I'm just curious,   why is it taking so long for EVGA to get cards onto the market?   Asus and such have had cards on the market for a little while now.    And why do amazon and newegg seem to get new pre orders of the cards every 45 minutes?

Weird because the Newegg pre orders are still saying the 9th.     Some clarification here would be nice.

First round of preorders from EVGA start shipping May 1. Second round of preorders from EVGA are expected to ship May 7. So preorders get filled first and then cards get shipped to retailers. Just like the preorders for the SC2 were set 1 week apart for mid april.

There are different dates for the SC2 as well,  mine form the first day says April 17, I thin the newegg one are a week later.

Re: Announcing EVGA 1080 Ti with iCX - Coming Soon 2017/04/11 09:59:29 (permalink)
The confusion folks, is almost definitely due to the fact that cards are shipping on first-come, first-serve basis.

Those who got into the pre-order on the first round got the earliest ship date (April 17th for the SC2, for instance). The second round was approximately a week later. Further rounds would presumably be after that.

Then you also have the cards being distributed to third parties, such as NewEgg. They all appear to be receiving their stock of cards AFTER the EVGA first round pre-orders, but not necessarily after later rounds. So if you managed to pick up the earliest ship date from EVGA's preorder, you're best off keeping that pre-order. As an aside, EVGA appears to offer the ability to cancel your pre-order before shipment, so if you do manage to pick up a pre-order elsewhere with a guaranteed earlier shipment date you may consider swapping there. I would only recommend doing that if you have a GUARANTEED shipment date however. Many stores are selling them based on estimates and those can slip by weeks or even a month.
