ASUS ROG Strix GTX1060 not recognizing Asus VP28U 4 K monitor with display port

Motherboard Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero with I5-6600 processor, ROG Strix GTX1060, and Asus VP28U 4k monitor. When I plug in display port monitor doesnt recognize. Please help

    Yes no problem with HDMI other than my son said it seemed a little slower

    Does the issue occur over both the dp outputs? Are you using a vesa certified dp cable? If you're not using a vesa certified dp cable I would suggest you buy one to see if that might fix your issue.

    I used the one that came in the box with the monitor but I do have this coming tomorrow to verify.

    Check with the Nvidia Tool in this Thread: DP 1.3 / 1.4 monitor could blank screens on boot until the OS loads or Hang on Boot
