It is THE most complicated.  It is soooo many processess switching bits, and rotating and such.  There is this process called "lean 6 sigma" where you try and streamline processes, but this is not the case.

Going from 3/8 end mills, to 1/4, 1/16, profiling, extruding, drilling (3 different bits there) and doing all kinds of stuff.  I will be happy to be done with this batch.  Much smaller batches next time.  Bit off WAY more then I could chew.  Took a few weeks to design and prototype this alone.

& lol @ milord :P

Very nice.  To bad you're not in production of a set because I'd be interested for my own AsRock Mobo.  If I am not mistaken, Koolance, EK, and others haven't made a block yet for the Extreme 11...  I don't think they ever will...

I am making a batch at the moment.  It has taken some months.  Plagued with machine issues, hurricanes and stuff.

Thats ANOTHER $35.00 down the drain.  The spindle stopped spinning while I wasn't sitting in front of it.  I am quite upset because now I have more troubleshooting and I have to order another bit.

Wow that sucks.  I bet you can't wait to get your new machine online and working.  Then you can have it turn out 6 of these at once.

Thanks guys.  This block has been a killer, but I think I finally have it.  I didn't pretty this on up, but its straight off the machine to a test fit:

After multiple fit testings, I got the right number that allows for the video cards to fit.  I had to shave four THOUSANDTHS of an inch off the top to get it to fit just right.  Now I have to do that to all of them, and begin the finishing up processes.  My humblest apologies for this block taking so long, but the tolerances are most challenging for my machine.  Thank goodness my second CNC is on the horizon...

I'm amazed.. simply..

I'll be following the progress on this one, as I'm planning to watercool my entire X79 Extreme11 setup during this year. So far only the lack of waterblocks for the motherboard itself has been holding me back a bit, since watercooling CPU and GPUs makes little sense without watercooling the chipsets and VRs aswell. Getting a quiet air cooling for everything except the SB fan is quite easy, but since the SB fan makes more noise than everything else together, it's all a waste. And to get a proper OC of the CPU, the VRs need proper cooling aswell.

Hence, so far my air cooling has been sufficient enough.. but with the chance of a complete waterblock setup for the entire motherboard, it suddenly makes a lot of sense to move forward to H2O again

Hi Nateman! I sent an email last night - but just to make sure that you received it, I thought I would post as well. I have not posted on this forum 10 times, so I could not pm you. Sorry. Please contact me with pricing/availability of this waterblock. I was getting ready to buy another block when I came across this awesome post! Thanks!

Edit: Nate, when we're we going to see your first longblock for that 70' Mustang I bought ya with my Monopoly money?

I'll take ya up on my next system build, at least on the Quadro GPU full block.
Nvidia or developers are dragging their feet on Maya and iRay/MentalRay for cuda Dev.

By the time I need something for renders, I might just dual Xeon server, don't think I've seen full water "Render Box" Xeon server build.
