Hey Nateman! Good to see you're still doing these! It's such a great board.

I bought the white delrin topped gun coated block from you a few years back. Decided to redo my whole system with hard tubing and the block looks to be leaking near the bottom capacitors after rebuilding =(. I've added some pictures here. Any advice? I've tightened the screws and the O-Ring seems ok. Any ideas what else it could possibly be? What was the O-Ring spec? I'll see if replacing it makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

I kid!  can you send it back?

and no, i haven't done these in years.  i think yours was the last batch.  These blocks are so much work.  This last batch I have been working on I think will be the last batch.  Even the SR2 seems to have went the way of the dinosaur.

I can look up the O-ring spec, but I got them from McMaster.  I have had folks try to replace, but working with a 1/16" O-ring seems to defeat folks.

Other than that, how has the block been?  Seems to have given you years of service

Haha yes, its been perfect till this rebuild. I can send it back but I'd like to try the o-ring first. Do you think the recent flush of the system with vinegar might have done anything?

I have one of these laying around.  Custom plexi/engraving version.  Customer seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth:

I've never posted before, I've been scouring the internet for a waterblock or fan for the x79 extreme 11 board. My fan I fear is on it's last legs and i will have to do something about it very soon. I was wondering if you sold all your waterblocks or if you still had one on hand. I will pay more than a fair price for one. I have to spin my fan after starting the computer so will be doing something about it soon. It's also become very noisy. Hopefully you're still an active member. also I can't send any pm's as I haven't posted in the forum even though I made the account 7 years ago. So hopefully you get this and we can figure something out because I'd really like to take those blocks off your hands seeing how it's impossible to find anywhere else.

looks like I am too late to the party to procure one of these awesome blocks?  Approaching my last resort of making a shroud to attach to a 120mm fan to blow air through the heatsink to alleviate the increasing scream from the tiny fan

Yeah, I tried a while ago figured maybe he’d sell the blue print to me at the least but nope. His response were they were too much work and he hadn’t done it in years. Good luck with your fan shroud/ fan solution.

Have had a couple of these boards.... generally found most of them don't like the pressure on the cpu block being too high, if you have mounted the cpu block on as hard as you can try releasing the screws/mounting pressure.  Also start with one stick of ram then progressively add sticks to the board once it is booting, if it gets that far.  Am sure I returned a perfectly working board in the past when I had forgotten to back off the mounting pressure.  Have sent you a PM, can be found at gmail
