Card has been running great this past week. Temps would hover around 70c-75c while gaming. Then today I got the OK screen of death. First time was the picture you see here and the second time was while watching videos on YouTube. Once this happens the computer will not boot to windows unless I wait 5-10 minutes. Right now I'm able to type this post but the PC may lock up at any moment. **I can no longer boot to windows. Cancelled my cross shipment and placed an order for the more expensive version so I can get it overnighted. Kinda bummed over this I’ve been enjoying gaming again for the first time in a while. I was going ham in BFV!! Time to Shampoo the carpets in the computer room 😆 ***Added another pic.

bummer pull the plug & do a full power down, reboot Which Nvidia driver ? What adjustments in Nvidia Control Panel ? long shot, wondering if it is a BFV issue does it run without issue a benchmark like Fire Strike ?

Latest driver .22. No adjustments made in NVCP. Using a Gsync monitor. Second time it happened at the desktop while watching Youtube videos in Microsoft Edge. The issue lasted for about 90 minutes. In that time frame I setup an RMA with a cross shipment. EVGA wouldn't cover the overnight so I went with ground. I then cancelled the cross shipment and changed it to a refund, and then ordered the XC2 with next day delivery so I wouldn't be without a computer for a week. I should have just paid for overnight on the cross shipping but I felt salty since I just paid for overnight shipping. Of course now the card is working fine. It just passed a Time Spy extreme benchmark and I played BFV with no issues. I feel like I just wasted some more money and some of EVGA's time but the card did freeze up a couple times and then I couldn't get it to boot to windows(UEFI would load but after that the monitor would get no signal). When I initially could get the desktop to load I kept hearing beeps through my audio that I've never heard before, and there was a window of sorts in the bottom left. I'm assuming this is the beginning of the card dying. **Ty EVGA phone reps for helping me out. They rocked.

Hello Remidian, HAve you done any windows or driver updates lately? Are you also on the current Nvidia Driver? There's something's we can still discuss if you would like to speak with us over the phone please contact EVGA Customer Support Line 1 (888) 880-3842. Edit* Looks like I got to this a little too late but thank you for the update.

Ya know what I did have to reboot for a windows update earlier. I updated to 1809 the other day so I’m not sure what today’s update was for. Wow... watch that be the cause of this issue. I should have waited a day to see if the issue would persist but once I couldn’t get to windows for 30 minutes I figured it was dead for sure and I wanted to beat the shipping deadline. Brutal. **I beat my old Timespy score after all this mess. Of course...

Window update to 1809 - like any big update - can cause the PC to look "stuck" while Windows does its thing Windows usually does not like it if you pull the power while it is adjusting you OS If possible you could try a clean reinstall I you format your drive and do a full install you will loose everything on that drive I thought there was a thread where a member mentioned 1809 was pull by MS again ?

When I say stuck I mean frozen with artifacts like the picture I displayed. That along with the PC not being able to boot to windows makes me think that the GPU is the culprit but at the same time I'm gaming on it right now.

Thanks, bud. Sadly though it just froze up again with the “OK” artifacts and now there’s a rainbow of sorts along with it. At least I’ll have a replacement here tomorrow. I’ll update the thread if the same issue continues tomorrow with the replacement.

New GPU seems to be working fine. The XC2 I ordered as a replacement sits around 1900mhz while my XC hovered around 1920mhz while gaming. No big deal, silicone lottery. BFV runs poorly now. Screen tearing, micro stutter, sluggish gameplay. It's as if GSYNC no longer works. However BFV just released an update so it's probably that. Scrolling while browsing in EDGE also has a tear in the middle of the screen. This is with a fresh OS install and multiple drivers including 417.35. Destiny 2 and Doom run smooth as butter so far. ***Reinstalled windows 1809. Installed latest NVIDIA driver. I'm noticing screen tearing in the middle of the screen while I scroll in any window while on the desktop. Including windows settings menus. Any ideas? I doubt a defective GPU would cause this but I have no clue. I'm thinking it's either the Windows or Nvidia update.

See none of those issues here.

Lower score compared to my XC. Bummer. I know the score difference means very little it's just disheartening to see that. Did another fresh OS install beforehand just in case. Will do some gaming after dinner. Spaghetti :) https://www.3dmark.com/co...y/5359618/spy/5378646#

What should VRM temps be? With my fans at 70% - 100% the VRAM is hitting 88c in a well ventilated case. Room temp is 70F, CPU temp is 40c-47c. Destiny 2 has a stutter as well after a while. I'm concerned there is something wrong with this card as well. *Just hit 90c on two memory banks with fans at 70% using MSI Kombuster, and now there's a delay when I am typing this edit. It's showing GPU load at 80%. Power target fluctuates in between 75%-100% it usually stays at 96%.

Ty, bud. As always you rock. Sadly my VRAM just hit 93c. I'm gonna sit on this issue for a day or two and see what's up. I'd hate to RMA another card. With it not even being able to stay at 100% power I'm beginning to think something is wrong.

After using Futuremark, MSI Kombuster and the latest Precision X1 all of my games are stuck at 80-100FPS while the GPU is stuck at 50%-80% usage. I used the OC scanner and applied the results. The problem continued after going back to default. I'm gonna use DDU and reinstall 317.45 again. I'm having one unlucky week! Brutal. After using DDU and reinstalling, it didn't work. I'll have to call EVGA tomorrow and see if they have any ideas. Another fresh OS install fixed the problem. BFV is working fine in DX11 with FFR enabled. Nothing more to report unless I have further issues. Ty :)
