If that's the case they might have just fulfilled the rest of 9/7's preorder. It's going to take forever for them to fulfill everyones preorder at this rate

When I ordered I put special instructions to have the package held at UPS . I have yet to receive any correspondence about them not being able to honor this request. I would think they would try to contact me before it shipped to address it.

You should contact customer service directly and verify with them. Maybe they can make an exception if you accept responsibility or something? I didn't push the issue.
 
Maybe that's already just set up for you since you requested when you placed the order? No way to know except by you contacting them.

How many rounds of pre-orders were there for north america? I know one on 9/7 and 9/9. Is ther 9/8 or 9/10 something else?

I don't mind delays, but can we get scheduled updates? If you tell me you'll give updates daily at 4pm PST that'd go a long way to extinguish all the pitchforks around here.

Also, is there a way to change my shipment speed?

Pre-ordered 9/9. Still nothing :(

I know a random update email would sure be appreciated. We shouldn't have to hound them for information IMO.

theres no way to do anything, no way for them to know when their stock will arrive, no idea when they can get us our cards, no way to change shipping speed, no way for me to have package held at UPS for pickup.
 
i was just told in chat they have NO ETA, NO IDEA WHEN INBOUND SHIPMENTS arrive, and that they are doing their best. They said thats all they know, and all they can tell me.   To my shock, They also said they would be happy to cancel my order, without any hesitation.

They literally don't know anything it's sad. I don't understand how EVGA has been considered "One of the Best Customer Service" if this situation is happening and we literally have to plead on one person's twitter page for some info and updates that is given once a day. I don't mind the waiting but the frustration of people like me being left in the dark and having a customer support that can't do anything and know anything makes me lose any trust in the company.

Your order is still processing but unfortunately we do not have an ETA on when the 2080Ti FTW3 pre-orders will be shipped. We are processing as quickly as possible and I do apologize for the inconvenience.

When the pre-orders were initially available there never was an exact date on when they might ship, we only had an estimate of about 3-4 weeks. At the moment, there has been a shipping delay from our factory overseas and we are processing orders as quickly as we can as soon as we receive the cards.

We do not know how long it will take for the shipments from overseas to arrive. I do not have the full details of the delay but from my understanding it is not something we have complete control over.

I am sorry but I do not have an ETA available. I am being completely transparent with you with the information i have.
I understand your frustration, I honestly do. At this point the only information I have is that we are processing the orders as quickly as possible.
Believe me I am a gamer and enthusiast too. We all are and we strive to process everything as quickly and with the highest quality we can. Sometimes with logistics not everything works out perfectly and I am truly sorry if you are frustrated.

That's pretty much what Adam told me earlier today.  I still hope we get an update from Jacob today as he said yesterday he would continue to update us.  In all actuality he updated the other thread and said more cards would ship today and that he was trying to get an updated ETA on the remaining.  Has anyone gotten notified that their card shipped today?

Mine is still in pre-order and i ordered 9/7 around 5:52 PM. So hopefully that means mine is shipping soon.

I don't mind waiting.  But what I do mind is Evga taking my money up front, and make no mistake these are overpriced cards, then offering little to no idea when they will ship.  Poor customer service.  It's the principal of it.

Guys, I know it’s frustrating but there has been a lot out of both Nvidia’s and EVGA's control on this one. I saw a post somewhere that said there are over 1,600 parts on each Ti card and likely more on the FTW3 since it has extra power phases.

They have to have all the parts to make the boards and two huge typhoons went through the orient just when everyone would be starting up production. There were hundreds killed and one went right into Hong Kong with the onshore side hitting a major manufacturing area.

I was on this train back when the 10 series started shipping and communication was much better but I’d bet it was because there were unbroken supply lines and predictable production schedules. Just based on the communication last time, I would bet that EVGA is trying to get as much information out of China as you are out of EVGA. Again, based on communication during the 10 launch, I’d say if they had the information they would be sharing it. Adam only said their factory is overseas, but even if it wasn’t directly affected by the typhoon, there is no doubt some of the parts needed to build the cards were.

I have no ties to EVGA but it pains to see people so upset over a video card. These kinds of things happen and no doubt will continue to happen with future releases. It just isn't possible to build enough cards up front to meet all demand. You can stock up before you start sales but now you have a huge investment and finance costs, and those who put in the effort to be ready when preorders opened end up having to wait for those who were for whatever reason valid or not, slow to order.

Most who are buying one of these has another computer or video card that can hold them over until these arrive. Had EVGA waited to start selling these until they had stock for all, you wouldn’t even be waiting to see if you got a tracking number tonight. To cover all the demand, they would have to build, warehouse, and pay interest on all cards until November or even December. Maybe even longer.

Can people just settle down and understand the yield is lower on these chips, they can’t produce them as fast as the Pascal. There were two typhoons that really made a mess in the orient at least where components in the cards are made, if not the boards themselves. And EVGA does communicate. I’d rather have Jacob working to expedite production and parts than meeting an e-mail or tweet schedule.
