Knew I should not have bothered but got on EVGA chat with "Benny M" just now and told him that EVGA has had my $1366.26 for a 2080 ti FTW3 card since September 8. His response was "we have no ETA at this time" and "sorry." Have been buying EVGA cards for many years, but after requiring full payment up front there should be some better response than "don't know" and "sorry."

They're quick to take your money, announce a bunch of new products. But when it comes to fulfilling preorders they're like "idk lol"

hundreds or thousands of orders

For example, one large store in Germany sold so far (preorders and stock) under 50 cards, both 2080Ti and 2080. All manufacturers. In comparison, only one model of a 1060 outsold this by double in the same store.

I feel so lucky... my current 980 Ti is kaput, but my EVGA RTX 2080 Ti OC Gaming is in transit to me. "Just" an OC Gaming, but I don't want to be without a PC so another 2 months.

I wonder if they're holding any stock to distribute to resellers like Newegg and such.  Or if the pre-orders here get top priority until filled.    Of course pre-orders should get filled here first......but I'm curious if that's what they're doing and why it's taking so long to allocate these orders.   Seems oddly slow assuming they got their stock in.....or if they got partial stock in.

Assuming our pre-orders are #1 priority, I'd just like to know what's causing the delay.   Not enough stock (got shorted)?  Not enough staff to fill the orders in a timely manner? Issue with the cards themselves and each has to be retested / fixed / updated?  The reason is probably simple, but also sounds like EVGA doesn't want us to know why because the reason is a bit more serious than some bad forum PR.

We preorders get to feel "special" having our stuff be delayed with minimum info from the company itself. You guys should be lucky to be in part of all this! /s

Haha...I'm in a suburb of Memphis.  THE fedex hub.  However this time, the MOBO shipped out of CA on Monday.  Props to Newegg getting it shipped so fast...but now it waits.

Seems like some Rumors are true. NVIDIA want to forbid BIOS flashing and partners must change the BIOS like for the FE. And this takes time.

Of course it is, and I'm pretty sure you have multiple zeroes too many on that number. Cards are being sold in hundreds. Period. Not hundreds of thousands.

All I want is beeing kept up to date about the status of my order. Yeah it sucks that it's late, but that can happen. But not giving us information is kinda disappointing. Maybe be a bit more transparent?

Well, to be fair, the last update given in the other 2080ti thread was less than 24 hours ago. An update a day is about as much as one should expect. EVGA isn't newegg or Amazon and packing, taping, labeling and shipping takes time. If they only have a few staff members getting these moved out and hundreds or thousands of orders to send... I could see a backlog developing. Can't imagine any other reason as we've seen people get tracking info each day for two days in a row now.

I am from EU so the last update I was given was the supposed shippingdate of the 10th. Got the mail on the 5th. Now it's the end of the 11th here in germany and no single word since the 5th. I wrote a message to the support now and asked them to please keep us europeans up to date...

You say "multiple zeroes too many". The word "multiple" means "two or more" therefore your statement is self-contradictory. I'm guessing... hoping... that English isn't your first language? 500 has two zeroes, 2,000 has three zeroes. In order for me to be "multiple zeroes too many" that would mean EVGA is selling no more than 99 rtx series cards as that is the highest number minus two zeros that fits the words I used. :)

I really wanted to say exactly that. Unfortunately, what I considered a preposterous number, was a terrible failure on my part! :D
See? There was my error! I've read "hundreds OF thousands" not "OR". Silly me!! :D

Oh, I just hope they start shipping those darn things.

P.S. "darn" is intentional. ;)

The original outlandish date of Oct. 23rd originally quoted by B&H is looking more and more a best case scenario.  That's okay...I am in CPU limbo aswell.

what is going on at EVGA?  I remain loyal, but it's crazy how far you have to scroll down this list to see the last time ANY EVGA 2080ti card was available from an online retailer...
