Made my pre-orders today for Asus Maximus XI Hero and 9900k.  I already got the tracking number for the MOBO...now let's see what I get first, the 2080ti FTW3 or 9900k.

Ha, cool beans. I chose the exact same motherboard and cpu and GPU preorder for my build.

Well that's not nearly as bad as the other guy saying "not anytime soon"
Crossing fingers the date doesn't slip further.
Keep the updates coming.

2080 Ti FTW3:
Today's update, it is looking like we may be able to start shipping 2080 Ti FTW3 on 10/9 or 10/10. Will update again tomorrow.

2080 FTW3:
For 2080 FTW3 we will start shipping tomorrow.

Thanks for the update again Jacob. All my fingers and toes are crossed while wishing to all the gods of every religion while chanting good fortune and carrying 4-leaf clovers also holding onto my lucky rabbits foot in hopes to have those 2080Ti ship tomorrow for all these lucky people that preordered.

I had no idea they would have those up for order already. I picked up a X Formula last week and preordered an i9 today. Not to take away from the GPU discussion...

I’m getting jealous of all of these water cooled builds lol. I’ve been building PCs for over 25 years and have always been scared to go with water cooling outside of an AIO. Something is just unsettling getting liquid close to expensive parts. Have u ever ruined parts with water?

Hmm looks good Tahoe! I'm still torn on whether or not I want to dish out the 1400 for a 2080 Ti FTW3... time will tell.

I got sick of the AIO too... restrictions like short hoses and smaller rads kept irritating me so I went back to custom but I went hard this time...

Never have ruined any hardware yet but on my first liquid cooled build like 12 years ago... I had a lose fitting leak all over my GPU and MB while the PC was powered on! It was 100% my fault because I didn't know what I was doing back then. Dried off the card and MB and it fired right up like nothing happened.

Now days I leak test my loops for an hour or so while the system is powered off and the pump is jumped to a spare Power supply. I also put paper towel under the fittings just in case... and it's a good thing because one of my cuts on the hard line didn't seal in the fitting just right and it had the drip drip drip real slow but I caught it instantly and paper towel made sure the drips got caught. Fixed the bad cut and all has been well for 6 months no leeks!

Anyways, one of the best things you can do is.. after its all together double check that the inside of the fitting is tightened down all the way not just the outside collar... The inside of the fitting likes to come lose sometimes when its been worked on.

I can never go back to AIO's now... the customization of the hard loop is just to sexy and it can add some serious uniqueness/character to your build. With the AIO's no matter how hard I tried my build always looked like the next guys AIO system.

Good luck with your hard line build!  I'll be looking for those finished pics when you get it all together!

While you learned your lesson and got very lucky, the consensus is to do a 24 hour leak test so you can get those slow drips or a soon to be leak that doesn't get going right away as I have experienced.  I always recommend 24 hours and if that's too much for some, 12 hours at the least.

Bahaha. I really can't get over this... the odds. You and I chose the same GPU and CPU (no big surprise there considering the product launches and the forum we're on) but you also chose the exact same motherboard out of a wide range of choices AND this is your first-time watercooled build... mine as well (I've been building PC's over a decade but have always done air up till now). AND you chose the same pump/res kit and mounting bracket. :D I however did go with EKWB's rubber tubing (25 feet of it) since I'm actually running two PC's in the loop with 2x 480mm and 2x 560mm rads mounted externally on a rack (I'm hoping that much external rad surface will be sufficient to go 100% fanless). My setup should cool well but it won't win any awards for appearance. Props on your clean, slick case build

Now all we need are those 2080ti FTW waterblocks....

While much more ugly, soft tubing is so much easier to make safe, since it compresses much better. Haven't yet had nerves to risk a $10k system to a hard tube choice.

I fully agree...but still could not resist this time :D Went with 2 (well + 2 small one) real glas tubes in the front. One of them is not yet installed but will be Parallel to the other coming one day hopefully from an vertically mounted and water cooled 2080ti ftw :)

Around, and around, and around she goes. If they ship, nobody knows... yet. ;-)

Fingers crossed! Thanks for all the efforts, EVGA! Looking forward to trying one out!

So like hopefully they can sell some of these asap, but do you think these cards will have the fan clicking noise on start up like the lower models? I assume the fans are the same here, or did they fix the issue hence the delay?

My 2080 FTW3 is now under "order shipped" but I don't see a tracking number. It also is listed in "COMPLETED".

Usually you'll get a tracking number a little later in the day if memory serves me from last purchase here

The tracking number takes awhile to show up. Congrats on the card! I'm waiting for the 2080 Ti FTW3's to be available for order/preorder again.

If my 2080 TI FTW3 gets shipped today... send me a picture of the person who ships it wearing a name tag. I will name my first child [regardless if it's a girl or a boy] after that person
Thanks.

Edit: Just realized this thread is for 2080ti only and doesn't mention 2080. Just saw a ftw3 in stock and decided to post.

Funny how the 2080 FTW3 preorders came AFTER the 2080Ti FTW3s and it's getting shipped first.

Day 1, 9/7 preorder here... delivery in 3-4 weeks is missed. PC is sad. I is sad. Now the slowest shipping option I chose because of that timeframe makes me sad knowing I'll see it 5, nearly 6 weeks after my order at the earliest... so sad... ;)

But seriously, upgrade my shipping speed just a little bit, pretty please??
