No, it's not me not getting the card IMMEDIATELY, it's the fact that there's a good change my card will get returned to EVGA because I won't be there to receive the package

No, it's not me not getting the card IMMEDIATELY, it's the fact that there's a good change my card will get returned to EVGA because I won't be there to receive the package
Well best would be to call evga and let them know not to ship your card till such a date when you'll be home then. Cant call ups before they ship it.. there will be nothing in the system to correct. Prob easier to call sooner rather then after you get a tracking number.

I would either cancel it or have it shipped to a trusted source if you work it out with your shipment company.
That's a good point, you can call EVGA and change the shipping address. Have them ship it to a trusted friend/family member.
I tried that for a different reason & EVGA won't do it.

Looks like probably sorted then. Curious what the delay was. Maybe some stuff to be included in the box was MIA? But I’m sure they want to ship them as much as we want to get them. Hope it works out for you StreetGlide.

Haha.. doubt it..but its happend to me a few times this year! Always when your in a hurry for it.. when it's just a stupid cable or something not important it comes with lightning speed! Everytime.

Hey guys, an update here.
I am sorry to inform that there has been a shipping delay, and we are not able to ship today. We are monitoring this and will post an update on Monday as soon as we have an updated ETA.
Thank you for the update! Hopefully our pre-orders will get some sort of upgraded shipping to help compensate for the delay.

Jacob said they have to fulfill preorders first before anything else. By the time they hand out all the preorders and review samples they'll probably have a few cards to sell and you'll have to wait till general availability since they did say preorders are long past gone already.

I would like to note that if the purchase was made with PayPal, due to PayPal Buyer / Seller protection, PayPal requires us to send the product to the address that PayPal has on file when the purchase is made. This would not be something that we can change on our end. A signature for delivery would also be required in cases where the value of the item is over $750. -Jacob B

To follow up with this, for the most part it's a faux-pas in any industry to allow the shipping address (name on file, and physical address) to be different than the billing address as it'll flag in most systems as a fraudulent purchase. Even if it's done after the fact where somebody makes a note to switch it makes it easier to be reimbursed by credit card companies etc.

Most of the time its charged by the carrier. For example with Canada Post they charge x amount of dollars when something requires age verification (18-19+) products. Or when something has a principle value of >$1,000 CAD. This cost gets forwarded onto you.

i order things with different billing/shipping addresses all the time. Oh im in boston for a few days and i forgot some **** i need, amazon prime to the hotel. stuff like that. i mean, not sure id order a 1200$ graphics card to a place thats not mine, but the point is that its not that big of a deal. more important is that you enter the billing info correctly. shipping info is really not even checked by CC companies when you submit for payment authorization.

Ugh, when I ordered the card I selected not to require a signature, but ended up paying though PayPal so guess it sounds like it will be required anyway.

I paid via PayPal & if I remember correctly I had no option as far as signature goes. I was also not reimbursed the cost.

Lets hope they start shipping them tomorrow as I will be home to receive it since I lost my job on the 1st of Oct. due to them downsizing but I took the buyout after working there for over 20 years. But I have had many items I ordered in the past and had it dropped off at work as I am not at home to receive it. I just called them a day ahead of time and they would deliver it there but that is in the US though. As far as a signature I would recommend it but I have had more expensive computer hardware delivered from newegg and never paided extra for a signature at delivery even when they do have have that option to do so.
