Hi EVGA team,
My 2080ti xc ultra does not give any output.
 
Symptom:
When under load, the screen will just go black. This happens under both Ubuntu 18.04 & Windows 10
    Ubuntu: The screen goes black, but the program (which utilize GPU) still runs.
    Windows: The screen goes black, with a sound same as if you unplugged an usb device.
 
Description:
I begin to get this problem about a mouth ago. At first it seems random and only occasionally. I need to reboot multiple times to get the output back.
Today it happend again, where the screen goes black and comes back several times, and finally stays black. No matter what I tried, the output just doesn't come back. The card can be detected in the Ubuntu 18.04 because I remote signed into it and run nvidia-smi command, where it shows the card.
 
Already tried these methods:
1) Reboot
2) Reinstall GPU card (pretty sure it was not PCIE connect problem)
3) Check HDMI cable & Monitor with my laptop, both works fine
4) Tried Singe & Double power cable from PSU
 
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem(except a previous thread, where the poster said the problem was caused by faulty power cable)?

Hi Sajin,
We don't have DP cable or monitor, so I don't know.
The PSU is evga supernova 650W G3 Gold. Only 3 month old
I'm definitely sure PSU is not to blame, because I just tried running program on GPU in Ubuntu by remotely login, which works fine. Just no HDMI output.
 
My guess is "output unit" on the GPU, but could be completely wrong :)

All right, I found the problem, it was the HDMI cable.
It was very strange that it worked on my laptop, probably due to the fact that when connected to my laptop, it does not need to bend. But when connecting to desktop back panel, it needs to bend (about 30 degree), which probably cause
some contact problem inside the connector and no signal was transmitted.
 
Sorry for the confusion, and feel free to delete the thread if possible.
One praise for RMA processing (already canceled), which is hassle free and fast.

bad cables happen - Glad your Happy with your Card

Doubt the temp caused the issue.
