Just found my folding client (again) sitting on 0.00% and status of "ready". Hopefully it wasn't like that for long. I hit the "stop folding > stop now" button, then hit "start folding" and it picked up a new WU. Annoying. Also it seems to be going slower on this new work unit...

I have a question. When I view my F@H stats, it shows folding@evga work, but also another team named "Homma", which was not me. It would seem someone was folding using my name? I've had this F@H name since 2010/2011, although I barely used it for years until now. I did not have a passkey though until last week (or if I did, I don't remember having one). I'm concerned whoever that person is will come back and try to take my account, or invalidate all my EVGA points. Is there any way I can get those points removed, or should I not be concerned, or should I just shut up about it and hope that day never comes?

Doesn't need to be me..
Although I wouldn't refuse it...
I just think someone should get awarded for bein closest to their personal target..
I would be happy if I can at least make the bar...lol
(no pun intended)

Sorry Joe, that will not be a stat that I will ever track.  It gives some people the incentive to pause their folding so they don't overshoot their estimate, and that is not something I want to incentivize.

This is Homma's Team list
The individual on it has their own Passkey and email...as do you.
It should separate your identities.([reason for unique passkey's)
Check your team number info, passkey etc in your clients and you should be good.
I am not an expert

No Worries
I just remember among the fuzzy rulez (lol) I did see something about not slowing down...and I quote

So I thought you all ready had that covered.
Wasn't sure what rule this would apply to.
All good Troy

Here @ Extremefolding it shows you started 7/5/2010. Not sure what I would make of the FAH info. I'm not sure since you have a unique passkey. Curious what others think. The Rest is Bestest!?!!

That 2010 one under Nereus for EVGA was me, the Homma is not me. My best guess is that neither of us ever had a passkey previously, we just folded under the name Nereus. Last week I got a passkey and have been folding under that passkey (and EVGA Team #) since then, so presumably it just assigned anything under "Nereus" to me that didn't have a passkey previously? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

K, got my GPU on the foldos again - I was doing some rather thicc amounts of BIOS & OC testing, all of which ended up netting me frick all in terms of gains, but it was educational, somewhat.  When I'm less exhausted I'll give it another go...
Time for my 3090 to continue chasing down Xavier. lol

OC can cause WU errors...
Antivirus can cause errors..
Just exempt the Fahclient folders in your antivirus and let it run on auto..
No OC needed works great...cut the power at gpu up to 80% and forget about it...

I disabled client-type flags after getting a 25-30% reduction in PPD on each card.

What flag were you running that gave you a 25-30% reduction on PPD?
Beta?

The advanced flag was giving me 4-4.5m PPD on my 3080. Removing the flag took the 3080 up to 5.8-6.3m PPD.

Noted!
Did you change anything else that might have affected PPD?
Advanced keeps mine working..
I will test a slot or two and see.
Thank you

I had not changed anything at that time, just strictly the flag. I let it run 6 work units overnight, and had the lower ppd range the entire time. I removed the flag and let it run for 6 more work units and saw the increase.

After that, I started making performance setting changes but didn’t see any massive jumps afterward.

Ye I know, it's an undervolt/OC that's pretty conservative  I've ran it for hours in benchmarks/games & F @ H & had no errors thus far, I've been running at 2040MHz @ 981mV or 2070MHz @ 1000mV, both of them run in the 42-52C range depending on the WU, VRMs/Mem iCX only gets in to the 50-68C range which is about normal, so I've just kept it around there.  Maximum draw of power I've seen so far via HWInfo64 is just under 400W, current unit is a 31432 base, pulling ~380W sitting at 52C halfway done.  And that's with the GPU & GPU Radiator fans tuned down for noise because I was sleeping about 15 ft away. lol  After letting them fly for a bit how I'd normally let them run for gaming, temp dropped back to 49-50C Core with the VRMs & Mems in the 40-63C range, and I don't think I've had it fail a WU yet on the GPU.
It's also showing if I got this kind of unit all the time I'd be gettin' a smidge under 8M PPD, if I ran 24/7.
The OC/undervolting & testing was more for the gaming side of things, but it's good for both!

I would like to thank those that have already donated a prize to the pool. We already have some nice gifts. Adding a gift is not a requirement of course to participate, and it shouldn't be. So I'm asking those that haven't yet donated to the prize pool consider giving a gift card or it can be anything you may already have. The more donations we get the more folders can win, and we have an impressive list of contestants this go round. Of course the contest is not all about the gifts, it's a nice chance to get together and fold some WU's together. Thank you all for joining in this years contest.

Wow, I got a unit that showed it'd be worth 10M PPD if I continued getting those, and it took less than half an hour to finish... unfortunate now I'm back to the regular 7-8M PPD units.
Letting it eat while I watch some videos & do stuff around the house.

Speaking of points - if you're interested in seeing how you're doing on an hour by hour basis, go here

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nwLA0fLwYPFllKfRLwjgmt_MMldYgOg7rCMtid8pr0w/edit?usp=sharing

You'll be able to check your performance for every hour of the contest.

I have to manually copy the formulas as I haven't yet figured out how to get google's scripting to only copy down the formulas automatically, but I do it every few hours manually.

Just a quick way to check how your hourly output changes as you tweak things.

OMG

I think you might be on to something!
2 computers both went up 100,000ppd per gpu
(4x rog 2060 oc)+(2 evga 2060xc ultra's)
1 computer only increased by 50,000ppd per gpu
( evga 2060xc ultra+rog 2060 oc)*
*This computer has always outperformed the computer with the 2 2060 Ultra's by 200,000ppd on average.
Let you know how it plays out...
Thanks
